We upgraded from a 1080p resolution 40″ TV to this Hisense 4K Smart TV. The picture quality is excellent out of the box. In fact, we dimmed it down a bit. The sound is fine from the built-in speakers, although mostly I listen to it through our receiver. The USB ports are a nice addition to be able to look at photos or listen to music files. The Google TV platform takes a bit of getting used to (still have not figured out all the options), even though we had a Chromecast dongle on our older TV. It is nice to have Chromecast built-in and it works well.
This is the second Hisense TV (the other is a 75″) that I have purchased and I am a true believer that this is one of the greatest values in a 4K TV for the prices, and the whole package of Google TV and Remote use is PERFECT. Picture quality is perfect, blacks are ‘black’, the sound is what you would expect in a large flat-screen TV, and it is acceptable. For better sound add a sound bar/sub-woofer (I have one on the 75″ set), and my wife thinks it has great sound as purchased.
