And since they provide up to 10 hours of heat, readers love including them in blessing bags for the homeless. They’re also a great addition to your emergency kit if the power goes out.
Check out how Hip readers have put these HotHands hand warmers to good use…
I hand them out to homeless folks on the street, and as one said, “These sure feel good in a sleeping bag on a cold night.” We also keep them on hand for extended power outages. Leave one of the large ones in your bed all day while at work during an outage & it will still be toasty warm when you get home.
These are a must-have for us on cold days. They are great to have in the car for those freezing soccer games we get to cheer at.
Thank you! My husband has a landscape & snow removal company & he is always using these!

Ok here’s my tip for the day!🤣 We live in Washington state and this past week we got down to single digit temperatures. Panic set in because we still have our hummingbirds and the feeders were freezing so fast. We would bring them in at night, but still they would freeze within an hour of putting them out.
So…..here you go. Get some of the styrofoam tubing that’s used to wrap around your pipes. Cut to fit around your feeder. Put a hand warmer on each side of the glass and wrap with the tubing. Place a couple rubber bands around to hold in place. It works perfect! If you can’t get the tubing you could use a small hand towel and use the same application. Our little hummers come right to us and don’t even wait for us to hang up the feeders. It just warms our hearts!❤️❤️❤️
Aww, this is such a helpful tip for others (and for the hummingbirds!) ❤️ Thanks a bunch for sharing what items to use to keep the liquid in the freezer from freezing up – so creative! 🤗
I have been buying these for the stray cats to keep warm in my garage. It’s been in the single digit temperatures and I made some boxes and stick these hand warmers and the cheap throw blankets from Walmart in there and three stray cats spend their whole days in the boxes, looking happy and safe 🙂
So thoughtful of you to use these to help out strays near you, Bob. 🐱 Glad they have a safe and warm place to cozy up in with the Hot Hands and blankets.
That’s very nice of you to do that. We have to remember all the vulnerable animals when the temps get this low. Thank you for your kindness.🙏🏻
Keep an eye out, Our local Target had these on clearance this week for $2.99.
Thanks, Teah! Great find! 💕🙌
I just bought them at Target. Same price.
