We spotted a new must-have kitchen gadget at Dollar Tree!

Dash over to your local Dollar Tree where you may find this handy Meat Chopper for only $1! Note that these may be $1.25 at some locations.

This gadget is so similar to the amazingly rated Good Cook Meat Chopper, but you’ll save a ton!

Instead of using a regular spatula, use this meat chopper that’s designed to break up meat during cooking — which is one of my least favorite things to do because it just takes so long. While this tool isn’t a necessity, it’s worth a buck to make cooking meat sauce, taco meat, and more easier!

The Hip team loves a similar meat chopper! Here’s why…

“I love this! It makes it super easy to get your hamburger into smaller pieces. My son is picky about the chunky meat, and if your meat isn’t fully thawed, it works so well to break it up!” – Angie

“That meat chopper is the best thing ever. I ordered five two years ago to share in a Favorite Things Party, and I have extras in my closet to give as gifts. They are the best!” – Stacy

I own TWO of the Pampered Chef ones and I do not regret it. I might buy one of these in a pinch (maybe to take on vacay?) but I’d never trade in my PC ones 🙂

It is true that some have gone up to $1.25 now. Mine in Oklahoma City are still $1, but will be going up in about 2 months. 😢

      • Judy Trac

All the stores around me has been 1.25 for months like back in August. I stopped by one in another state while we were on vacation & it’s 1.25….not sure where there’s still $1 half a year later lol

        • Missi

        • Cooper929

  6. Annie

Great for mashed potatoes too My mom bought me mine. I love it.

  7. Steph

Be careful with these because they can ruin your nonstick pans depending on how they are made. I learned that the hard way.

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

Thank you for the tip, Steph! 😢

  8. EBH

People really buy a separate thing for this? I just use my potato masher. Works great & one less thing to store.

    • Kam

Thanks for that suggestion. I will try that when I am making hamburger in a regular pan. I do like this one though because I can use it in a non-stick fry pan.

  9. nickyB

Thank you. I will look for this. Everything is still $1.00 in Marion, OH

  10. Happy Aunt

I have never understood the love for these and how they are better than a spatula. I’ve owned a pampered chef one for years, but don’t use it.
