Michaels grab bags have returned…but with a new price.
Grab bags have always been extremely popular with Michaels’ customers. Previously, these grab bags were an absolute steal, retailing at $5. The Grab Bags have returned but for double the price; they’re now $10 each.
Michaels offers these grab bags & boxes at various times throughout the year. These bags are often packed full of clearance crafts, decor, and more. While it’s said to be retailed up to $100 in value, we aren’t entirely sold on purchasing a final sale item at $10 versus $5.
A few months ago we sent Cam to her local store; it was filled with artificial flowers. Readers always suggest going for heavier bags or boxes.
While this was excellent for crafters and had unbeatable pricing, we’re not so sure if these items would be worth it at $10. Nevertheless, if you’re up for the surprise, readers in the past have loved them.
Note you may want to call your local Michaels store and ask if your location has these bargain bags or boxes available. If your store doesn’t have them right now, be sure to keep checking back!
Check out what else we’ve scored in past bags/boxes!
These grab bags can be filled with just about anything, but usually include seasonal decor, crafting supplies, kids’ activity books, puzzles, games, ribbon, tissue paper, Mylar balloons, tote bags, and much more!
While it can be hard to guess what’s in these surprise bags, you can sometimes tell from the size of the bag or box, and what is sticking out.
Here’s what some of our readers have received in the past (with $5 pricing)…
I got a couple of the boxes around March and I got a ton of cute Black history month items for Valentine’s Day, and St. Patty’s Day stuff. I got a lot of the same items but that’s ok. I kept some and donated the rest to some schools in my area. I had a few of the Valentine’s Day mailboxes. I held on to the because I knew I could repurpose them.
We bought three of the grab boxes the other day and they were filled with Valentine’s Day decorations. Not one of the best grab boxes we have picked up but all together they still had over $450 worth of stuff. The best grab box we had ever gotten came with tons of random stuff, including a $40 art lamp. But they are hit or miss. Overall, if you are looking for a fun opportunity they are a great buy.
I just hit the jackpot too! They had grab BOXES! I totally scored on tons of great valentines stuff and some st Patrick’s day. Soooo worth $5! THANKS for posting!!
As you can see, some readers have reported AWESOME bags filled with merchandise totaling hundreds of dollars! Let us know in the comments what you think about the increased pricing!
