ULTA Beauty Is Coming to 250 More Target Stores This Year
More Target stores will be teaming up with ULTA Beauty in 2022!
Target has announced its long-term growth plans, including a $5 billion investment to scale virtually every aspect of its operations.
Target plans to strengthen its workforce, improve its stores, enhance its website, and increase its supply chain capabilities in 2022.
ULTA Beauty will continue its expansion to even more Target stores.
Target is known for its high-profile partnerships with major brands like Apple, Disney, Levis, and many others. But in 2021, Target’s collaboration with ULTA Beauty took center stage with the opening of ULTA Beauty shops inside 101 Target stores nationwide.
These in-store ULTA Beauty shops were so successful that the company is planning to open 250 new ULTA Beauty at Target shop-in-shops by the end of 2022. Ultimately, Target’s long-term plans include a minimum of 800 Target stores with ULTA Beauty shops operating inside.
While the new ULTA Beauty locations haven’t been announced yet, they’re expected to bring increased traffic wherever they operate.
In 2021, shoppers enthusiastically purchased higher-end cosmetics from ULTA Beauty inside Target stores. They reportedly love the convenience of one-stop shopping and the ability to take advantage of both the ULTAmate Rewards program and their Target Red Card discount.
Target will also open new stores and remodel hundreds of existing locations.
Before the end of the year, Target plans to open around 30 new locations. These new stores will include a mix of mid-size stores in suburban areas and small-format locations in urban centers.
Target is also planning major renovations at around 200 of its existing stores, with hundreds of smaller projects planned too. Since beginning company-wide renovations in 2017, more than half of the chain’s physical locations have been (or will soon be) updated. Improvements include the addition of brighter lighting, enhanced displays, and improved pickup areas for online fulfillment.
Watch for an enhanced online shopping experience at Target too.
Target is also planning some technology upgrades for 2022 that will allow shoppers to purchase Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)-eligible grocery items online.
When this feature goes live, shoppers will be able to add SNAP-eligible items to their digital cart and choose Target’s free, same-day fulfillment services like Drive Up and Order Pickup.

This Ulta Pop-Up is already in my local Target store. Obviously, it’s only a selection of Ulta products, but I love it for when I need to pick up a basic item or 2. BTW, Ulta products are already available at Target.com.
SWEET! Thanks, EP! Good to know! ๐ฅฐ๐
The renovation at our store is utter garbage. We drive 7 miles south to the Super Target that is not remodeled
