Curious why our team loves our Walmart+ memberships?
The Walmart+ membership provides a number of benefits we can enjoy throughout the year, such as free delivery on groceries and non-grocery items ($35 order min. Restrictions apply).
It also includes benefits like saving 10 cents per gallon at over 13,000 stations nationwide (5¢ savings in AL & OK only. Subject to change), and video streaming with a Paramount+ subscription included with your membership (Paramount+ Essential plan only, separate registration required.)
One of our favorite Walmart+ perks? The free delivery on orders of $35+ (some restrictions apply). Hip Sidekick Lina uses it all the time, whether it’s groceries for her family or ingredients for recipe testing, she loves being able to skip the store and keep working without missing a beat.
And if you follow Collin on social, you’ve probably heard her rave about Walmart+ too. Free delivery on more than just groceries? She’s all about it. Honestly, it’s her favorite perk.
Enjoy Gas Savings: Walmart+ members save 10¢ per gallon at over 13,000 stations nationwide, including Exxon, Mobil, Walmart, and Murphy stations. (5¢ savings in AL & OK only. Subject to change.)
Burger King Savings: Save yourself time & money with Burger King savings. It’s convenient and won’t break the bank, especially on weeknights when you need to grab dinner for the whole family. (Valid at part. U.S. BK’s, in the BK App or BK.com for members only. Terms apply.)
Collin gives her Walmart+ membership high praise 🤩 but she’s not the only team member who’s obsessed…
I’ve been a Walmart+ member for a few years now, and I think the membership is worth every penny! – Hip Sidekick, Nicole
Walmart+ is absolutely worth the cost to have groceries and other items delivered right to my door within hours or the next day, plus get free shipping with no minimums, and Paramount+ is included! This is one membership I am happy to renew every year! – Hip Sidekick, Misty
Just wondering, on the home grocery delivery, are you supposed to tip the delivery driver?
I did a week trial of Walmart plus, when you check out there is a tip percentage choice. That alone made me cancel it. Not worth it having to tip. Don’t have to deal with that on Amazon.
Great question! Tipping for Walmart grocery delivery is optional but appreciated. You can add a tip at checkout or up to 14 days later. Since most deliveries are handled by third-party drivers (like DoorDash), a tip can go a long way—especially with gas and time. Some readers go with a flat dollar amount (like $5), while others might tip 10–20%, depending on the size of the order. ❤️
For Walmart InHome delivery, tipping isn’t expected or even an option. InHome drivers are hourly Walmart employees, and the service is designed to be tip-free. If you order delivery a lot, the InHome add-on (currently $19.95/month or $138/year) could actually save you money compared to tipping on every individual order.
Hope this helps! 🤗
Yes, I can’t bring myself not to tip the driver, most say between $10-20 dollars so for me and my family of six it’s not worth delivery because my orders tend to be bigger.
I was under the impression that if you ordered anything over $35.00 the delivery was as free – or is that just for shipped items?
Hi Tammy! There is a minimum purchase requirement of $35 to qualify for free delivery. There is no minimum purchase requirement for free shipping for Walmart+ members. Hoping this is helpful! 🩷
Gotcha! Thanks so much for the info!
You’re very welcome! 😊
AARP members are $58 a year.
SWEET! Thanks, Amy!
For current Walmart+ members, AARP just increased their available discount on WM+ membership to $40 per year! I just added that to my WM+ account and it will renew this month at $58. The previous discount was $20 to $30, I think. The new discount is even higher than the Walmart Spark survey program that I also participate in, which is 30 percent (nearly $30). Search for Walmart Plus at AARP.org With FIVE drivers in my household, the gas savings alone has been a godsend.
Oh cool! Thank you so much, Jen! Good to know you can save on Walmart+ with AARP! 💕🙌
Hi,does anyone know if this AARP,Walmart deals auto renews every year at $58 being an AARP member ? thanks.
If you have an amex or chase card check your merchant offers. Mine sometimes has offers for money back if you pay for the membership with that card
Sweet! Thanks for sharing this helpful tip to check for cash back offers from your credit card company! 🩷
I was cancelling mine since I didn’t want to pay $98 at renewal and it offered me it at the $49 price to stay. So I’ll renew at the $49 price now! Heads up for those that aren’t new but want the deal
SWEET! Appreciate the heads up on that renewal offer, Nicole! 🙌💗
Same!
I have Walmart at $49 from a previous deal. When it comes time to renew I’m going to “cancel” and see if they offer me $49 again. If not I will try the AARP deal @ $58. It’s definitely worth keeping this membership for me.
Smart thinking! 🙌 Sounds like a great plan to see what offers pop up at renewal time. Totally agree—it’s such a handy membership to have, especially when you can snag it at a discount! 💰🛒
My membership was going to renew July 10th and I did cancel and got $49 deal, thank you. I feel the scan n go is worth it in itself, I get frustrated at the self checkout stations because my shops are bigger (family of 6) and those tiny little stations make it hard to check out.
Yay, glad you grabbed that $49 deal, Christi! 🎉 And totally hear you on Scan & Go—makes such a difference for a cart-full! 🛒💗
Does anyone know if I cancel several days before my renewal, do I still get the membership until my renewal date (not planning to renew at full price).
Yes—you can cancel ahead of your renewal date and still keep all your benefits through the end of your current term! 🙌 You should see a confirmation of your membership’s end date during the cancellation process, just to be sure. 🤗
I just started using Walmart+ delivery. Once I had a delivery with multiple bags, each with a printed label with my name on it. In that case, I presumed the driver just picked up and then dropped off my order, so I gave a $5 tip. The second time, someone texted me their name and said they were shopping for me and then they also did the delivery. I was uncomfortable with this because then I felt obligated to tip more–were they not a Walmart employee? Thanks for any advice on this. It’s not in my budget to tip 10-20%.
Thanks so much for sharing your experience, Molly—and great question! ❤️ Walmart+ deliveries are often handled by third-party drivers through services like Spark. In some cases, those drivers will shop and deliver your order, while other times, Walmart employees may shop it and a Spark driver handles just the drop-off—it can vary based on your area and order type.
Walmart also occasionally partners with other services like DoorDash, Uber, or Postmates for deliveries, especially during busy times or in areas where Spark isn’t as active. So when someone texts you their name and updates, it’s likely a Spark driver (or another third-party driver) handling both parts of the order. They’re not Walmart employees, but independent contractors.
If you order often, you might check out Walmart InHome—Collin prefers this! 🙌 It’s an additional service (for an extra fee with Walmart+) that uses only Walmart employees who deliver straight into your home or garage—even putting items in your fridge if you’d like—and since it’s Walmart employees, there’s no tipping required or available during the order or checkout process. It’s not available everywhere, but could be a great option if it’s offered in your area!
