For real…everything Collin says about this machine is accurate! We bought one a few years ago after she was raving about it on this page. My family eats a ridiculous amount of ice cream and I love that I know exactly what they are eating with this machine. This is hands down the easiest way to make the best ice cream you’ve ever tasted. It’s simple, easy to make, and easy to clean – takes literally 5min of effort to get a batch going and about 5min of clean up to make a few days’ worth of fresh ice cream for my family. If you are even close to being on the fence just do it. I use mine so often it has a permanent place on my counter. It’s not cheap but there is a reason why…it’s that good! Oh, and I’ve had mine for years and use it at least twice a week. Never had a single problem with it! Hip reader, Jennifer

I have been making homemade ice cream for many decades. I have used rock salt and ice, liners you put in the freezer, and on and on. This does cost more but the convenience is so great and the results are so good that I make a lot more ice cream. I am known locally for my ice cream now and experiment with changing recipes all the time. I bought mine two and a half years ago and it finally stopped working. I contacted their support and they emailed me two documents that enabled me to open it up and fix it. Two batches already finished on the good-as-new machine. I love this ice cream maker.

Does this machine do the yogurt or do we need to buy the $300 one if we want it to do both?

    • Jessica (Hip Sidekick)

Hey Bobbie! I found some additional information from Whynter’s site here on this model, and it says “Our high-end stainless steel ice cream maker doesn’t require pre-freezing and makes ice cream, frozen yogurt, and sorbet easily.” Hope that helps! ❀️

We also bought one years ago bc of your post…BEST KITCHEN PURCHASE EVER! I also found the simplest recipe that is super easy and my family loves. …and flavorings…try Torani sugar free syrups…it’s life changing! On deck today is white cloud cherry vanilla:) Vanilla ice cream with torani cherry flavoring, sliced maraschino cherries and a few veins of fluff.
