ALDI to Open 180 New Stores in 2026 (+ Redesigned Website)
Aldi is expanding! With grocery prices so high, the announcement couldn’t come at a better time!

Back in March 2024, ALDI, the budget-friendly grocery store, announced that it would open 800 stores by 2028.
By the end of 2024, nearly 120 of those stores had opened, and now ALDI has stated that in 2026, it will open 180 more stores across 31 states!
Shoppers will also get a redesigned website, making it even easier to browse products and check weekly specials.

As part of its westward push, ALDI is entering Colorado with a five-year plan that kicks off with 50 stores in the first two years.
Plus, Arizona, Florida, and Colorado could get new ALDI distribution centers, helping to keep shelves stocked and prices low.

The town I live in doesn’t have an Aldi. The closest ones are 20 – 25 minutes away, both in complete opposite directions. Thankfully I work near one so I’m not without. The big joke at April 1st every year is “they’re building an Aldi!”….happy to say we are FINALLY getting one, and it’s almost done being built. I am so incredibly thankful and a lot of other people in town are thrilled as well. There is only one other major store so competition is needed!
WOOHOO! 🙌 That long-running April 1st joke finally becoming real is pretty awesome! Sounds like your town is more than ready for an Aldi. Hoping opening day gets here fast!
