Grocery prices have been on the rise, making stretching the budget tough for many families. That’s why we’re pumped to share that Aldi, the budget-friendly grocery store, just announced some exciting news!
The company plans to add 800 more stores nationwide by 2028!
The expansion includes plans for new openings and conversions as Aldi recently completed their acquisition of Winn-Dixie and Harvey Supermarkets.
Where is ALDI opening stores in 2024 and 2025?
The Southeast region will benefit from Aldi’s expansion plans, with many Winn-Dixie and Harvey Supermarkets converting to ALDI stores.
About 50 stores will transition in the second half of 2024, with at least half reopening as ALDI in 2025, ensuring a smooth customer experience.
The Northeast and Midwest will have nearly 330 new stores by 2028. Additionally, the West, including Southern California, Phoenix, and Las Vegas, will see new ALDI locations.
ALDI kept its environmentally-conscious patrons in mind while drafting the expansion plans.
The new and remodeled stores are being created with environmentally friendly features like energy-efficient LED lighting, eco-friendly refrigeration systems, and rooftop solar systems. 🙌

They’re almost done with one 7 miles down the road from me and then they’re starting on one across the street from me…. At first I was excited but now they’re like Starbucks 😂 and I’m not going to lie I’m a little nervous about the traffic situation, as it used to be a farm 😦
Not what it use to be. Seldom good deals and have of coarse raised prices like everywhere else. Shop deals if that means you have to go to 4 different stores to accomplish, Sad but true!!!
They are opening 2 near me soon. Can’t wait. I used to shop with my mother in the late 60’s at Aldi. It was always my favorite store. I shop there when I travel because we don’t have any near us (5 hour round trip). Love this store.
