Top 3 Trends our Instagram followers loved:
1. Athleisure
Being comfortable was the #1 trend with our Instagram followers in 2023. Also known as casual lazy fashion, Athleisure is a trend we can all get behind. From sweats, oversized sweatshirts, jogger sets, UGGS, cozy cardigans, plush slippers, velour sets, and more. There’s nothing about being cozy Instagrammers didn’t like.

2. Grocery delivery
Our followers weren’t shy about sharing the fact they enjoy staying home more than they do going out these days. Whether it was starting a new Walmart Plus Membership to make life easier with FREE grocery delivery or simply focusing more on meal planning and eating at home. We’re all about saving both time AND money!

3. Baggier jeans
You’ve likely taken notice of the fact skinny jeans are starting to fade out. Many of our Instagram followers commented that baggier/looser jeans have been more of their style in 2023 and leading into the New Year. If you haven’t already, you may want to give those vintage jeans in your closet a go again. 😉

1. Sound of Freedom

The Sound of Freedom movie was the #1 movie that our Instagram followers watched. It’s an emotional movie, based on a real story about a federal agent who sets off to save a child from being trafficked. It’s #3 in the US right now and is surely one not to miss.
Collin saw this movie in theaters and here’s what she had to say:
“The ‘Sound of Freedom’ movie is eye-opening and well-done. I watched it with my husband and seventeen-year-old daughter. Despite its sadness and tragedy, there are many important lessons to take away from it, and I’m grateful that my daughter had the chance to see it.”
2. Wonka
Wonka launched at the end of 2023 and quickly stole people’s hearts. It’s the prequel to all of the other Willy Wonka movies so you get a deeper insight into how the world’s greatest magician, inventor, and chocolate maker became the Willy we all know and love.
3. Barbie

By no surprise, Barbie was one of the most-loved movie in 2023 by our Instagram followers. It just so happened to also be the #1 ranked movie of the year, grossing a total of 1.446 BILLION dollars. 😱

Top 3 books that were the most read and loved by our Instagram followers:
1. Colleen Hoover books

Many Instagram followers said it wasn’t just one book in particular, but literally anything Colleen Hoover has written is gold! We don’t see this author trend stopping anytime soon considering she was also a best-selling author and took two of the top spot last year in 2022. Above are some of the most popular books from Colleen Hoover.
2. Lessons in Chemistry
Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus
If you’re into reading books about a strong woman influence then this could be the book to put at the top of your 2024 reading list. Many who have already read the book said they felt very connected to the characters’ lives and overall it was a fun and easy read. Although it’s currently more affordable at Target, you may want to check out the 185K+ 5-star reviews on Amazon! 🤩
3. The Nightingale
The Nightingale by Kristen Hannah
The Nightingale was the third most-read book by our Instagram followers in 2023. It’s a #1 New York Times bestseller, Wall Street Journal Best Book of the Year, and one you should add to your list. The book is haunting, action-packed, and compelling.
Top 3 family games that were the most played and loved:
1. UNO
Our follower’s top-played game in 2023 was UNO without any hesitation from many Instagram followers! This is a timeless game that can be played by all ages and it is fun for all. Grab it at Walmart for under $5 and join the fun in 2024!

2. Play Nine
Many Instagram followers and Hip sidekicks noted taking Play Nine on their family vacation and it was the top 2nd most-played game of the year. It’s been around for quite a few years now but has steadily been gaining more and more popularity. And no, you don’t need to play golf to enjoy this game and it’s fun for all ages!
3. Monopoly
The third most-played game of 2023 was another timeless classic! Although the traditional Monopoly game is still a huge hit with our Instagram followers, what they seemed to enjoy most was scooping up a special edition Monopoly game featuring their favorite movies, characters, and more!
Top 3 Beauty brands and products our Instagram followers loved using:
1. Tarte Makeup
Tarte was not only a top seller in 2023 from all the amazing Tarte Cosmetics Sale posts we shared, but it was also the top most-loved beauty brand from our Instagram followers. In fact, there were numerous products people were raving about. The Tarte Tape Shape, Tartelette Tubing Mascara, Maneater Mascara, and Amazonian Clay BB Tinted Moisturizer were among the top most loved if you’re looking to join in on the cult-following.
2. Corsx Snail Mucin
It took a while for some to come around to the idea of the snail mucin due to its gooey texture, but the reality is… once ya try it, there’s no going back! Not only was it loved by our Hip team, but it’s one our Instagram followers couldn’t stop raving about. If you’re looking for more radiant skin, this is the product to try in 2024!
3. elf Makeup
Instagrammers LOVED elf products in 2023 and it’s not shocking since their stuff is so affordable and works just the same as higher-end cosmetics.
Top 3 Tumblers our Instagram followers loved using:
1. Stanley
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve likely realized the Stanley Tumblers were the top product of 2023. In fact, the company’s annual revenue went from 75 million to a whopping 750 million! 😱 They’ve only continued to come up with many different Stanley Tumbler Accessories to elevate this cult-favorite tumbler so we don’t see the craze stopping in 2024 either.
2. Ozark Trail
The Ozark Trail is a more budget-friendly pick compared to the Stanleys and they’re incredibly similar. Many followers stated that, like me, they love the silicone straw more and the under $20 price point. If you haven’t grabbed yourself a tumbler yet, consider this lookalike for less!
3. Simple Modern
The Simple Modern Tumbler goes out to all the minimalists out there who are following their own trends. It’s no surprise these gorgeous and chic tumblers took 3rd and like our IG followers, this was another favorite among our Hip team. These tumblers have no noticeable logo, a seamless design, gorgeous matte colors, and are the chicest of the chic. Again, we don’t see these going anywhere anytime soon since they’re so convenient.

1. Walmart Cardigan that was a great Barefoot Dreams lookalike
Instagram followers went wild for this affordable Barefoot Dreams lookalike (pictured above). Sadly, it’s currently sold out. Considering it was also a top seller on our shop LTK page, we can see why it flew off Walmart’s shelves.

2. Collin’s oversized Amazon sweatshirt
Collin wowed Instagram followers again with this simple sweatshirt. See, we told ya our followers loved being cozy in 2023. 😉 It comes in numerous different colors and it often goes on sale so if you’re thinking of grabbing this in 2024 be sure to bookmark it for sale alerts!
3. lululemon Belt Bags
This is another 2023 trend that’s just about as popular as the Stanley and ya either love it or ya hate it. 😉 According to the majority of our Instagram followers, the lululemon belt bag was worthy of third place for best fashion finds. They’re convenient to carry around and make running errands a heck of a lot easier!

Top 3 favorite products our Instagram followers loved:
1. Candle Lamps
This has been a Hip team favorite and a must-have lamp for those of us who love to light a candle without the flame…genius! The light itself is dimmable and creates a smell-good and feel-good vibe in your home so it’s no wonder so many people grabbed one in 2023!
2. Tineco wet/dry vacuum
Cleaning floors has never been easier ever since many people welcomed a Tineco into their homes. It vacuums and mops at the same time and with many more people spending more time at home, it’s no wonder it was a top favorite product. Plus, who doesn’t love to spend less time cleaning? 😉
3. Dyson cordless vacuum
It’s true, the older you get, the more things like vacuums matter. 🤣 Our top 3rd most loved product this year was one that’s been around for ages. However, it’s never going out of style. Many of our IG followers reported to have splurged on a Dyson because they were tired of replacing cheaper quality vacuums and wanted something that would truly stand the test of time. Personally owning one of these, I can say the Dyson is worth every penny. 🙌🏼

Stanley
Even the popular Stanley tumblers can’t get away from people speaking about how they really feel. If one thing divided us in 2023, it was the Stanley. What surprised us the most is that Stanley Tumblers were also the biggest product FAIL in 2023. Many of our Instagram followers noted they either thought it was just way too pricey or too heavy.
