    I honestly did not realize how much prices went up until I bought a can of tomato soup. I paid $3.69 for it cause my kiddo will only eat that one type with grilled cheese sandwiches. She hates anything tomato so I’m willing to buy it but still $13 just to make 8 grilled cheese sandwiches.

      I bought a dozen eggs, bread, bacon, a case of water, and a 2L of Coke yesterday. My total was $30.37. Pre-pandemic this would have been less than $20 – maybe around $14.

        I don’t know where you shop but those items at Kroger today..
        Dozen Kroger large eggs = $2.79
        Kroger white bread loaf = $1.79
        12 oz Indiana Kitchen Hardwood smoked bacon = $3.99
        Case of Kroger water = $1.99
        2L Coke = $2.49
        Total = $13.05

          We don’t have Kroger here. Our only options are Walmart, Target or one of the regional grocery stores that have much higher prices. Our dozen eggs are about $6 here in California. Case of water plus CRV is about $7.
