Below are the best eyelash curlers based on reader and team feedback:
1. Shiseido eyelash curler
- Buy it on Sephora – $22
With over 1,000 raving reviews, it’s no wonder this eyelash curler made the top of our list! This curler has a unique edge-free design and flexible silicone pads so you can be sure to get the best curl possible. Even better, with its innovative design, you can be sure to never hurt your eyes (or your lashes) again.
“I worked for Sephora for 10 years so I’ve tried them all and the Shiseido makes the best eyelash curler because of the angle and the pad.” – Maria
2. Shu Uemera eyelash curler
- Buy it on Shu Uemera – $16.10
The award-winning Shu Uemera is not only a popular pick with readers, but it’s also a top pick among many celebrities, fashion designers, and even top make-up artists. Its unique mushroom shape provides a protective, stay-put edge for improved safety and optimum curl each and every day!
“I’ll never use anything but the Shu Uemera one. Typically I buy a few at a time from their site to get free shipping. They are the absolute best.” – Melissa
“Shu Uemura is the best. No need to research.” – Aya
“I agree with the Shu Uemura! I have had mine for over a decade.” – Emily
3. Tarte Eyelash Curlers
- Buy them at Tarte Cosmetics – $16-$20
Every Tarte eyelash curler is unique, yet all of them work just as great as the last! You can choose gorgeous designs from a pink-studded gold pineapple to crystals galore! Even better, each eyelash curler comes with its mini-signature mascara, so although these are pricier than other curlers, you’ll score a 2 in 1 deal!
“I bought it a couple of years ago when Hip2Save posted about a mystery kit with a full-sized palette. I read in the reviews that using a Tarte eyelash curler was so much better than using an eyelash curler from a drug store and the reviewer was so right! I’ve used it daily ever since.” – Jenna
4. WU-MINGLU Heated Eyelash Curler
- Buy it on Amazon – $22.99
If you’re struggling to find a traditional curler that works for your lashes, according to one reader, you have got to try a heated eyelash curler!
The rapid heating feature on this lash curler will separate and maximize your lash curl while creating long-lasting volume throughout the whole day! Plus, you can take it on the go since it’s compact design won’t take up much more room than a pen in your purse.
“Everyone needs a heated eyelash curler! I bought a heated curler on Amazon and I LOVE IT! My lashes stay curled and look awesome. I’ll never go back to a normal one again.” – Jess
Here’s an eyelash curler that has shockingly poor reviews, but 3 of us at Hip say it’s still our tried and true:
5. Revlon Eyelash Curler
- Buy it on Amazon – $4.99
Sometimes you just need to bring it back to basics and a bunch of us at Hip2Save are in love with our tried and true. In fact, we have been for many years! If you’re not looking to spend a fortune on an eyelash curler, then a basic Revlon might be all you need in your life. Despite all the bad reviews, we still love this affordable option!
“I have only used this one my whole life – and I’ve actually tried switching multiple times because I thought I needed to upgrade, but I ended up always reverting back to my original one – it’s my tried and true.
I just buy new red rubber pads for mine whenever I need them. I’m not sure if my exact one is even available as I think mine is legitimately from 2006 when I started wearing makeup! 😂“ – Emily
“I just have a basic Revlon curler. I never bothered to try anything else because it works great and is affordable. Just swap the red part out once and a while and you’re good to go for another year. LOL! Pretty sure mine is at least 10 years old.
And what’s funny is I remember my mom having the same one when I was a kid playing in her makeup!” – Alana
“I never really gave it a second thought to spend more than a few bucks on an eyelash curler. I’ve actually had my Revlon one for many years and previous to replacing it, I had a Revlon before that, too.
I think these do a great job at separating my eyelashes before I put mascara on and gives my lashes an overall better appearance.” – Sara
These are the 10 top-selling beauty & personal care items on Amazon.
Revlon eye lash curler is 12.99 at Amazon not 4.99 😞.
Thanks, AS! Be sure to click on the black & red option. That one is still $4.99. We have updated the link if you wanted to check again!
I have asian eyelashes which are short and extremely difficult to curl. After using Fields & Rodan eyelash grower for a few months, I finally had lashes long enough to curl. I second the recommendation for the heated eyelash curler. This was the only curler that worked on my wonky eyelashes and I have tried many!
Thumbs up on the Shiseido curler. Maybe it’s my hooded eyes, or maybe the shape of my eyes, or both, but all other curlers I have tried pinch my skin.
A tip I’ve used is hold it up to your hair dryer for a sec and it works as a heated curler
I have long eyelashes, but they’re stick straight Asian eyelashes and hard to curl.
Thanks for the tip!
Dollar Tree eye lash curler is my favorite. I kept one in my desk at work, one in my purse and one with my makeup.
My favorite also
Awesome to hear how well that one has worked for you, Lisa! I’ll have to try it out! Thanks for taking a moment to share with us!
Many, many thanks for this post. I have tried so many over the years and never been happy. Going for the shiseido now!!
You’re very welcome! Hope you love it!
Am I the only one who uses a spoon? My mom taught me how to curl my eyelashes with a spoon when I was a kid. I use eyelash curlers as well but I prefer the spoon method, it gives them a more natural curl in my opinion.
She Uemura was introduced to me as a teenager and there’s just nothing like it. It stopped being sold in the US for whatever reason years ago so I’ve unsuccessfully tried soooo many other Ulta and Sephora brands. I’m also Asian with short lashes for reference. She Uemura is totally my HG. Thanks for posting this deal. I might stock up for me and my best friends’ lol.
