Have hardwood floors?

Keeping them clean can be quite the task. With these four products to make your wood floors feel fresh, you’ll be saying goodbye to footprints, smudges, toddler messes, and dog slobber in no time!

1. BISSELL PowerFresh Steam Mop

Approved floor types: Sealed hardwood, ceramic, linoleum, granite, and marble.

This BISSELL steam mop is great for daily use or for deep cleaning. Using just distilled water, this method of cleaning kills 99.9% of germs on your floor with just 15 seconds of steam contact. This is a great option for those who may be environmentally cautious or who may want to steer clear of harsh chemicals (especially with little ones running around).

Not only is this a great mop for hardwood floors, but it’s versatile for other hard surfaces, including low pile carpet or area rugs. Easily adjust the steam level depending on the cleaning job that needs to be done. You’ll enjoy fresh-smelling floors with the built-in scent disc tray, along with the peace of mind that your clean floors are actually clean.

“I don’t normally leave comments on how well products work, but in this particular instance, I felt I needed to let others know how pleased I was with this particular model. Not only do I love it, but my daughter bought one of these units for use on her wood floors. I watched as she quickly and easily cleaned her hardwood floors of the various messes her two toddlers had left behind. Another thing I love it that this mop doesn’t leave any streaks or residue like some cleaners.” – Dennis ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This mop is exactly what I needed. I have hardwood and tile. My biggest issue was dog slobber. Using chemicals designed for hardwood floors was effective, but it did take four swipes back and forth along with giving it a good dose. Since we were in the market for a new cleaning method, I typed in best mop for removing dried dog slobber. Steam mops popped up. This Bissell was the highest rated, and after reading the reviews, I decided to buy it for my wife’s birthday. It was delivered quickly, and within 30 seconds of plugging it in (wait period), I was off mopping the floor. About 30 seconds after that, I was sold. It would erase the dog slobber in one to two swipes. Used the perfect amount of moisture/steam on low, so it dried even faster than the overpriced alcohol tainted chemical mop and smelled nice.

The only thing I noticed was that the tap water left a light sheen. I switched out to distilled the next day and no sheen. $0.80/gallon for distilled water vs $27/gallon for the chemicals we were using. I am one happy camper! – John ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Approved floor types: Sealed hardwood and laminate floors.

Method Squirt + Mop Wood Floor Cleaner has become a popular team favorite here at Hip2BeHome! Our very own Amber and Michelle love using it on their sealed hardwood floors. Plus, they absolutely love the light almond scent it leaves in their homes!

This cleaner has so many benefits considering it’s non-toxic, paraben-free, cruelty-free, and biodegradable – which means it’s much better for the environment compared to other harsh chemical cleaners!

“I have engineered hardwood floors, and it’s very easy for products to build up on the surface. I tried this on a whim to see if it might work, and I am very happy with the results. The floors look great and the product smells very nice and is non toxic, which, with pets and children, is a great feature. I would recommend this to anyone with any kind of hardwood floor.” – Jennifer ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

“Someone told me once that cleaning house when you have dogs is like brushing your teeth while eating Oreo cookies. True. But some products make the process easier. This cleaner is easy to apply and does not leave any residue. It cleans dog slobber effectively. It leaves a faint and lovely smell of almonds. The product is environmentally safe and pet-friendly.” – Tracy ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

3. Bona Hardwood Floor Cleaner

Approved floor types: All unwaxed, unoiled, polyurethane finished wood floors.

I personally love this tried and true wood floor cleaner and have been using it for the past three years in our new house! Bona floor cleaner is a water-based formula that dries fast and is safe for all unwaxed, polyurethane finished wood floors. I also read in the reviews that a lot of people have used this on their laminate and love it!

You can also purchase a microfiber Bona mop to make cleaning even easier. Just fill the spray container, spray while you mop, and be on your way to cleaner floors with this lightweight cleaning mop!

Suffer from allergies? Bona also has a hypoallergenic formula that’s free from dyes and scents. Plus, it’s GREENGUARD GOLD certified, meaning it’s rigorously tested and scientifically proven to have low to no chemical emissions and air pollutants.

“We have beautiful oak floors, and this has helped bring them back to life.”  Helen ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

“Bona is my go-to brand for cleaning my hardwood floors. I once tried another name brand, and I ended up with a horrible film that turned my floors gray. It took a lot of effort to get them back to their original color and state. I will never use anything but Bona again.” – Debra ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I think we always had the cleanest and shiniest floors I had ever seen!

This cleaner is a quick and easy way to clean your floors while restoring your wood’s natural beauty. It comes in a ready-to-use, convenient squirt bottle, and it’s easy to mop built-up dirt and grime! The natural shine and fresh lemon scent will give your floors (and home) new life!

“I have 75% of my house covered in real hardwoods and like to keep them clean as well as smudge-free. Finding a product that not only cleans but brings back the shine to my floors was hard until I tried this one! It’s so easy to use, there’s no need to dilute in water, and it leaves behind a nice refreshing lemon scent. No smudges show up even after a week since being cleaned. Love!” – Kate ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
