Need ice for all your cold drinks?

If you don’t have an ice maker in your freezer or one that can keep up with the demand for cold ice in your house, consider investing in a portable countertop ice maker to easily make a bunch of ice for all your iced drinks and chilling needs. This is especially helpful for holidays or parties where you would need extra ice for drinks when entertaining.

I love that there’s no need to purchase extra bags of ice when you can make your own easily at home!

I recently tried the Euhomy portable ice maker that conveniently fits on the counter and I’m super impressed with how easy it was to set up. Plus, it makes cold ice all day like a champ!

Using the Euhomy ice maker is super easy right off the bat!

All you do is plug in the machine, fill the tank with drinkable water, and turn the machine on! It starts making delicious ice right away. I use the filtered water from my fridge, but of course, any filtered water or bottled water would work great. You can actually also adjust the thickness of the ice cubes according to your needs too!

Here are a few of the reasons I LOVE the Euhomy Countertop Ice Maker:

    • It makes 40 pounds of ice per day and produces 24 ice cubes every 15 minutes – that’s a lot of ice!
    • There is very little noise when it’s making ice, and the process is super quiet.
    • The ice cubes produced taste great! There is no funny taste or anything like that. As a reminder though, I used the filtered water from my fridge to fill the tank.
    • The 2.2 water tank keeps recycling any melted water, ensuring that no water is wasted in the freezing process.
    • When the ice basket is full, the Euhomy ice maker will stop making additional ice to prevent the bin from overflowing.

ice maker appliance on the counter

This countertop kitchen appliance will make sure you have an endless supply of ice at home, or anywhere on the go!

This machine is portable and can be taken to family gatherings and can be stored in the kitchen, pantry, bar, or anywhere in the home. You could even take it camping if you’ll be near a power supply!

My husband is actually planning to use this ice maker in his office during the hot months to keep the cold drinks flowing. 🧊

I love how easy the Euhomy ice maker is to use, and it makes an impressive amount of ice. If you have the budget and room for a countertop ice maker, this is definitely one to consider!

I want one of these BUT it needs to make pellet ice like Sonic, Chick-fil-A, etc., has! 🧊 🧊

      Yes!

GE Opal Countertop Nugget Ice Maker is a countertop nugget ice maker. Pricey but worth the money if your a chewy ice fan!

    • Marie

Omg I’m waiting on a deal for one of these too!

Just an fyi- my mom feels the same way about ice, but didn’t want to pay the price for one of those machines. I got her the Frigidaire one at Costco. It makes small bullet shapes. My mom is surprisingly thrilled with the “crunch ability” of the cubes! It’s not sonic, but it’s a decent bargain second.

we got the same Frigidaire one from Sam’s last summer and the whole family loves it!

We have the slowest in-fridge ice maker, so I got one of these this past Christmas. Just be forewarned, they’re really quite slow at only 9 cubes every 10 mins or so. If you’re planning to serve a crowd or fill a cooler, you’ll have to do some planning.

    • rocme2

Sorry, that should have read similar to this – mine makes 30lbs in 24 hours, but it operates the same as this one.

I have the one Aldis sells about once a year and it is fabulous. Very quick (it is loud when it dumps ice into the tray but not too obnoxious). My freezer doesn’t make enough so this helps to keep supply up with the demand. We used to use it in the summer only but now I keep it out year ‘round!

GE actually has a nugget ice maker for the countertop or that can be built in. Just do a google search for “GE Opal Countertop Nugget Ice Maker”. My fiancé sells appliances and we just got one of these. It’s our absolute favorite thing! We don’t have to drive to Sonic now to get our nugget ice.

There is a smaller one 26LBS that is on sale on Amazon for 114.99 with extra 5% off making it 109.24

Just found a 26 lb. one that is $127.77 but has a $40 coupon making it $87.77. Great prices on these!

      • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Awesome! Thanks for the heads up!

      • Heather

Can you share the brand of the 26# one you found? I can’t seem to find it.

I actually own this ice maker and it is a great ice maker. I make enough ice for my hubby’s crew in summer daily and on weekends I make extra to store up for camping . Love it and I paid over $300 for mine so this price is so great I may order another for my camper too.

    • Lina D (Hip2Save Sidekick)

      Great! Thanks for sharing!

I don’t own this exact ice maker but my husband bought me a similar one this past Christmas. Our ice maker has decided to work only when it feels like it. We had the freezer worked on but it is ancient so there wasn’t anything they could do. My other family members could care less about ice but I get cranky without ice! LOL I love having this and it is going to be wonderful if/when we ever get back to normal and have people over!

    • Lina D (Hip2Save Sidekick)

      Great! Thanks for sharing Suzanne!

  8. xoxos

I’ve heard that these add quite a bit to the energy bill. Anyone notice any difference?

  9. NW

I have this exact same one. Best purchase ever!

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

SWEET! Happy to hear you’ve been loving yours! 🙌

I own a portable ice maker and keep it in my camper. It’s been great!

    • Lina D (Hip2Save Sidekick)

      That’s so smart!

  11. Nel

We have something similar for camping but it was around $85 from Home Depot. Love it!

Something else to put on my counter ? No thanks

We are not much of an 🧊🧊 ‘Ice’ household..I fill a couple cute trays, I got from Michaels with Brita water and stick them in the freezer for everybody. Most of the time some of the unused ice gets thrown out. But I will say on occasion when I personally do pop some out, the Brita ice is delicious 😋.
However at my parents house they use a ton of ice and my mom would probably like something similar to this because she sometimes has mentioned the ice in the freezer being strange smelling.

    • ToriSC

Great to have if you like clean ice. I fill mine up with double filtered water because I hate funky ice out of the freezer. Just remember it has to be cleaned every few months. I soap it down, run a vinegar bath through it & then run a bucket of ice. But I’m really really finicky about my ice.

  14. Holly McMillen

I just ordered me a 40 lb frigidaire one from walmart for 134.95… i bought it for my camp, i hope it works just as good.
