Now for my honest review of the Purple Carrot Food Service:
(Keep reading as I share the good and the not so good.)
Purple Carrot delivers everything you need to make tasty, healthy meals and snacks full of nutritious veggies and fruits. The recipes are totally unique and prove that being vegan or vegetarian still comes with robust meal options! 😍
Every meal is centered around plants and each box contains a variety of fresh veggies, fruits, and herbs. Each recipe is also packed full of nutrients and vitamins, and so full of amazing flavors!
Each meal kit is shipped free right to your door, and most of their recipes only take about 30 minutes from start to finish! Woohoo!
Plus, you’ll get a chance to try so many new foods you might not have tried otherwise and get all of the recipes to make them on your own if they become a new favorite.
Purple Carrot vegan meal kits have everything you need!
All the ingredients for each recipe come bundled together, ready to prep and cook. Everything is pre-portioned, so it’s easy to put each meal together, including spices and herbs that you likely don’t have laying around.
Literally the only extra ingredient I needed to cook my meals was olive oil!
There’s also a handy booklet that walks you through each recipe with easy step-by-step instructions and stunning pictures so cooking in a pinch has honestly never been easier! Plus, sometimes it’s hard to find special ingredients for flavorful vegan dishes so Purple Carrot’s meals are such a great solution! 👏🏻
However, I did experience a couple of hiccups. 😕
One of my recipes was missing a dressing and quite a few of my mushrooms for the Crispy Quinoa Cakes were going bad. 🙁 Despite these inconveniences, there was still an efficient amount of mushrooms and I thankfully still made both recipes work (and I did enjoy both)!
That said, I was doing a review after all and I’m BIG on great customer service so regardless if I made my meals work, I always have our Hip readers’ best interests on the forefront.
So I went undercover and called customer service…
Turns out, Purple Carrot’s customer service is very responsive & wonderful! YAY! 💜
A rep answered my call in 34 seconds (yup, I timed it 😆) and after explaining my issues, they were happily willing to give me a FULL refund for both meals to my Purple Carrot account – valued at $30! 👏🏻 To top it off, she said these credits NEVER expire so whenever I’m ready to use them, they’ll be available. Sweet!
You can also customize your Purple Carrot meals…
When you sign up, Purple Carrot will send you a box full of healthy, plant-based meals every week. Choose from high-protein or gluten-free meals (a must-have for me), and select up to four recipes per week! You can also add on breakfast, lunch, and snacks if you could use some help all day long. 🙋🏼♀️
You’ll even have the ability to pause an order (up to 10 weeks) if you need a break or cancel your Purple Carrot delivery altogether whenever you want.
Purple Carrot recipes can even please the meat-eaters in your family!
The yummy vegan recipes you’ll create from Purple Carrot can easily accompany a topping of meat if you have a dedicated meat-eater in the house. You’ll also be stretching your meals even further without compromising your vegan lifestyle.
It’s truly a win, win for the whole family!
I recently gave Purple Carrot a try and couldn’t have loved my vegan meal kits more – and that’s coming from someone who isn’t even vegan! I love flavorful, healthy, and most importantly easy dishes to whip up during the week and Purple Carrot was just that and then some! 🙌🏻
My meals were all so different, so delicious, and so unique too!
In fact, I didn’t even find myself missing meat at all and each meal left me feeling energized and full. There were even two nights where I had leftovers for lunch the next day – I couldn’t believe it! 😯
By far my favorite thing about the Purple Carrot food service was all the different meals I tried! Each of my vegan meal kits was completely different from the day before and it made each night so exciting to unbox! Not to mention, a total breeze since I didn’t need to think about what I was making. 🙌🏻
Overall, I loved learning how to make new-to-me and totally unique meals!
I’m not vegan, but I really enjoyed all my meals from Purple Carrot and was full from every dish! I tried many new recipes I would have never thought to make – like Buffalo tofu, crispy quinoa cakes, and an Indian-inspired veggie dish that was out of this world good! Purple Carrot gave me a new perspective on how I can eat healthy meals without the added cost of meats or seafood.
Everything was easy to make and they’re easily in my top 3 favorite meal delivery services from ones I’ve tried. This would even be a great option for anyone who is vegan in a non-vegan household if you just need individual portions.
Despite the two small ingredient hiccups I had, I was still so excited about my Purple Carrot box, I even told my vegan neighbors about it! Come to find out, they already know about Purple Carrot and they LOVE it too! 😍 Two thumbs up for great food AND great customer service! 👍🏻👍🏻

Did they give you a full refund on the meals or did they give you a $30 credit for future use? I’ve gotten bad vegetables with Martha Stewart and they gave me a refund for $9. (If felt that was fair, the box was $80)
Sometimes you might not want to continue and the credit to the company wouldn’t mean anything.
