I make this all the time except I use only one package of cream cheese and cook and shred my own chicken. I used to use precooked but cooking your own chicken tastes so much better!

    • alycia

Me too, I only use one pack of cream cheese. I also cook and shred y own chicken breasts. It’s so delicious and you could easily add a veggie like spinach. We make it as a meal with tortillas or chips at least once a week. My kids beg for it.

      • bernadett

        Cook in what?

        • alycia

          *my

    • daisy

Also have been making this for years. It’s my pot luck go to actually! Only we used canned chicken and just the cream cheese as well.

  2. Linsey

This dip is delicious! I use rotisserie chicken and blue cheese dressing (Marie’s because it’s thicker) instead of the ranch dressing.

    • Amy

I use blue cheese too! This dip is a huge hit. People always ask me to make it

  3. chrissy

We make this but use a cream cheese, 1/2 cup of ranch dressing, 1/2 cup of schredded cheese, a can of chicken and hot sauce.

    • Andrea

That’s the same way I make it. Sometimes I even use the canned chicken with hot sauce already in it

  4. Lolie

I’m not a blue cheese fan so this recipe is great! Thank u!

This is a huge hit in my house! Someone brought it to my housewarming party in 2009 & my whole family became addicted! I do everything the same except use rotisserie chicken instead. I always make this as my potluck dish now too & it always ends up everyone’s favorite.

Has anyon made this dip minus the chicken (yes I know lol) ? Thanks.

As someone who lives in western New York, you must use Blue cheese and not ranch!!! We only eat blue cheese here with our wings and chicken fingers! This is a staple at every party here!

    • Mi3suns

LOL….I was just getting on to post the same thing. Ranch is NOT Buffalo. Blue cheese dressing always.

    • Jwilliams77

Yes! As a fellow hockey mom and Western New Yorker, blue cheese makes all the difference!!
