Hip Recipe Tips:
-
- Make sure to use whole milk ricotta so the dip will have a thick, creamy consistency.
- Cream cheese can be substituted for the Mascarpone cheese, if desired.
- Cannoli Dip isn’t meant to be super sweet, so taste and adjust sugar to your taste.
- It tastes best after being chilled in the fridge while making the “chips”.
We LOVED this dip!
Such a creative idea that didn’t take much time at all. I enjoyed using pieces of pie crusts as dippers, but you could also use graham crackers, pieces of waffle cone, fried egg roll wrappers, and I think strawberries would be yummy also! Enjoy!
Can’t wait to try this!!
You’ll love it!
Thanx Lina. Looks delicious. Had a store bought version which was really good. So i’m definitely looking forward to making this at home.
Awesome! You’re welcome 👍
You will be addicted!! Easiest & yummiest make ahead dessert!!
Holy Cannoli! I love these, thanks!
Sure! Enjoy 😀
Where would I find Mascarpone Cheese?
Usually by the cream cheese or ricotta.
It might also be in the deli with the fancier cheeses.
EXactly what I came here to say!
Stacys cinnamon & sugar pita chips are a quicker alternative that’s super delish too! We love strawberries with this dip as well! YUM!
Yes! Love those – great idea!
I make it all the time. Its good!
I use waffle cones and break in pieces and sprinkle with powder sugar.
Great idea! Yum
This looks great! I love not too sweet desserts! Thank you, can’t wait to try this.
A friend brought this to a party and it is SO. GOOD. She also used broken up sugar cones to dip and YUM!! Thank you for sharing this, as I forgot to ask her for the recipe!!
You can make similar chips with soft flour tortillas. Cut then with a pizza cutter, spray with Pam and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar and bake.
Oh boy! This easy dessert looks so good!!! Do you think it will taste as good with strawberries?!?
Yes! Maybe even a mix of broken waffle cones or cinnamon sugar pita chips plus the strawberries would be fun!
I’m sure this would be great with graham cracker sticks
I agree! Yum
Broken up waffle cones are the best things we’ve used with this dip 😊
How much cream cheese? The ingredient list doesn’t actually list it.
Sorry – should read mascarpone in directions – fixed. Although you can use 8 oz cream cheese instead. Hope that helps!
My oldest daughter makes this and she uses box of waffle cones broke in pieces to dip. It’s so yummy 😊
This looks amazing! Can’t wait to try it. I already pinned it!
Aw thanks Kayla!
