Craving a little throwback dessert or treat?
If you loved Kudos bars growing up, you’ll want to make this easy homemade version! It has that perfect crispy, chewy, peanut butter-and-chocolate combination, and the best part? No oven required! Toss in some Reese’s Pieces for a fun fall twist, and you’ve got a simple snack that feels nostalgic and totally irresistible.

While I wouldn’t exactly call these a health food, they’re a fun, homemade, healthier-ish snack when you want something sweet without making an entire dessert. They’re also so easy to customize for the season! My kids used to love things like this as a special after-school treat.
Fun fall variations:
- Pumpkin Spice: Add 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice to the peanut butter mixture and swap the Reese’s Pieces for white chocolate chips.
- Apple Cinnamon: Skip the chocolate and add ½ teaspoon cinnamon plus a handful of finely chopped dried apples.
- Chocolate Peanut Butter: Add 2 tablespoons cocoa powder to the peanut butter mixture and use chocolate chips throughout.
- Trail Mix Style: Add chopped peanuts, sunflower seeds, or pumpkin seeds for extra crunch.
