What an easy way to spend some quality time together and make a fun, easy to make dessert idea!
My kids really “dig” this dessert!
Puns aside, these are fun to make on a rainy day, during the weekend, or any time the kids are both hungry and bored (which is all the time with kids)! I know your crew will love this recipe idea as much as mine did. Enjoy! š
We made this for our sons Construction Bday Party and it was a huge HIT… Not only the kids but even their parents loved it!!
What a cute theme!
I always bring this to my nephews’ birthday parties! I mix it up with different pudding flavors (chocolate, vanilla, banana) and also include peanut butter mixed with cool whip! My brother (the dad of all the nephews) usually ends up eating the most š
Mmmmmmm… Love this stuff!
I know! So great š
One of my boys doesn’t like chocolate – so we do a ‘sand’ version with golden Oreos or villa wafers, Swedish fish and vanilla pudding. Sometimes I put blue food coloring in cool whip for the waves
That is great! I love it!
Iām 30 now, but I remember making the sandy beach version in elementary school. We added teddy grahams floating in gummy life saver rafts and cocktail umbrellas.
My youngest dislikes chocolate- so for him, I may ‘sand’ swap gumming worms for Swedish fish
Vanilla pudding
Chocolate Oreos for golden ones or Villa wafers
And put blue food coloring in the cool whip for waves
Fun for summer in general too
They have gluten free chocolate sandwich cookies that would make a good substitute too!
Awesome š yes! Thanks for sharing that idea š
Add a little instant coffee or espresso (dissolved in a bit of milk) and mix that into the vanilla pudding for a cappuccino flavored dirt cup. Adults love that.
I remember eating these at birthday parties when I was a kid. Lots of fun and yummy!
