How to Make Amazing Smothered Pork Chops Hip2Save.com

Directions: Pour chicken broth, cream of chicken soup, gravy mix, onion soup mix, and garlic into slow cooker and whisk together. Place pork chops inside slow cooker and cover. Cook on low for 7-8 hours or until tender. To thicken gravy, first carefully remove meat from slow cooker. Then dissolve cornstarch with cool water in a separate cup, and pour into slow cooker. Stir well, cover lid and cook on high for about 10-15 minutes until thickened. Serve pork chops with gravy on top – gravy is also delicious to serve with mashed potatoes!

You can also cube some peeled potatoes and cook with chops. Either leave them cubed or mash for delish mashed potatoes.

      Great idea!

I love this recipe and use to make it a lot! Thanks for reminding me! I normally skip the pork gravy packet and double the gravy mix because we don’t eat a ton of meat so we normally have lots of mashed potatoes and Brocoli so we like lots of gravy. Makes wonderful leftovers too!

I use cream of chicken and a dry ranch seasoning mix pack, serve over rice. Yummy!

I just made these tonight and they are delicious! I forgot to put them in the crock pot or earlier so I cooked them on HIGH for about four and a half hours and they came out good (a tad dry but nothing the gravy can’t fix). My super picky sensory issues child said that these are one of the best things he’s ever had!

      Oh wonderful! We agree 🙂

I couldn’t find pork gravy mix at the store. Would brown gravy mix work?

    • Lina (Hip's Modern Martha)

Yes I’m sure that’d be great too! Enjoy 😄
