Cool off and enjoy the last weeks of summer with this yummy summer beverage inspired by old fashioned cream sodas. This drink uses fresh summer strawberries, coconut milk, and sparkling water for a unique, refreshing, and easy to make treat!
Strawberry Cream Soda
Sparkling strawberry flavored soda recipe for your summer cookout.
- 3 cups fresh sliced strawberries
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup refrigerated coconut milk (I had an almond & coconut blend on hand and it was yummy)
- 3 cups sparkling water or club soda
- splash of vanilla extract (optional)
- a few extra sliced chilled strawberries for garnish
Mash fruit and sugar in a medium sized bowl.
Pour 1/3 cup of the mashed strawberries in each of the 6 cups. To each glass, add 2 tablespoons milk, a few ice cubes, and 1/2-2/3 cups sparkling water.
Add a small splash of vanilla extract if desired, and a few extra slices of chilled strawberries. Stir with a spoon or straw. Enjoy!

My kids loved this as a sweet and fizzy afternoon treat! What a fun way to use summer strawberries.

Yum!!!! So creative Lina 😄😄
Thanks! It is yum!
Um how can I do this with Oranges?? I am a creamcicle fanatic!
I think this would be just as good without the added sugar. The strawberries are naturally sweet and most of the milk alternative beverages have sugar in them as well…more than enough. Even if you get an unsweetened milk (I get the unsweetened soy), the sugar in the strawberries added with the flavor of the vanilla will surely make it just as good.
Aw you’re killing me… I’m sitting at work, with a lousy cold. This looks sooooooo good but I wouldn’t taste a thing… 🙁
