Looking for an easy summertime dessert recipe?🍓

There’s nothing I love more than fresh strawberries during the summer. It’s truly the perfect time to enjoy a delicious strawberry shortcake for dessert. Unfortunately, I don’t always have time or all of the ingredients to throw together a full-on shortcake recipe… until now!

The secret to making the easiest strawberry shortcake ever – Pillsbury grands biscuits!

This easy to make strawberry shortcake biscuits recipe is the perfect after-dinner treat and is ready in under 20 minutes. Plus, if you’re frugal like me, you’ll love that it costs around $5 total to make the entire recipe, and uses 4 basic ingredients you can find at most stores.

This dessert is so yummy you’ll want to have it for breakfast, too! 😋

I used fresh strawberries, but you can also opt to use frozen and just warm them up in a saucepan. I also recommend using Grands honey-butter biscuits for a richer flavor. SO good!

Strawberry shortcake is a must for summer!

I love serving this easy and fresh dessert during a backyard BBQ — it’s so delicious yet a no-fuss sweet treat! Better yet, you can feed a group without breaking the bank.

My Hip sidekick and recipe tester, Jenna, tried this one out for me and here’s what she had to say –

“This was so fun and easy to make — I LOVE that it’s only four ingredients! Plus, the hack to use store-bought biscuit dough to make the shortcakes is brilliant. It results in the perfect serving size of seriously delicious strawberry shortcake!”

We do this but without cooking the strawberries. We just mix the fresh strawberry slices with the sugar and let it sit in the fridge a few hours and it makes its own syrup. Either way it’s sooo yummy and easy!

Ill opt for honey instead of sugar… or I will use brown sugar…

They sell them at Walmart here. You can also buy individual plates inside the store.

The other night we made strawberry shortcakes with madeleine cookies we bought at Costco. It was so delicious and quick.
