Thanksgiving Leftovers Crescent Ring Hip2Save.com

If you’ll be serving a traditional turkey dinner soon, check out this unique recipe idea that incorporates your leftovers! All you need to make this beautiful crescent ring are some convenient store bough refrigerated rolls and your yummy leftovers.

Thanksgiving Leftovers Crescent Ring

Adapted from Tablespoon.com

Ingredients:

2 – 8 ounce cans refrigerated Pillsbury Crescent Rolls
3 cups of Thanksgiving day leftovers (Turkey, Stuffing, Potatoes, Gravy, Green Bean Casserole, Peas, Cranberry Sauce, etc.)
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
https://hip2save.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/how-to-make-an-easy-crescent-ring-dinner-with-thanksgiving-leftovers-hip2save-com.jpg
Directions: On a large greased pizza pan, arrange crescent rolls in a circle overlapping each other. Face the straight edge of the dough towards the middle and the pointy end towards the outside like a sun or flower shape (see the photo above). Spoon desired Thanksgiving leftovers around the middle of the dough ring. Top with shredded cheese. Fold in the ends of dough and tuck under. Bake at 350 degrees for about 20-22 minutes until browned. Cut to serve. Makes about 8 servings.

This crescent ring meal idea isn’t limited to turkey leftovers. You can create many other versions using taco meat, Sloppy Joes, or even leftover spaghetti. What an easy and versatile meal idea!

I make a buffalo chicken ring similar to this… I used shredded chicken, buffalo sauce, ranch dressing, and shredded cheese… Same concept… I also found that the reduced fat rolls work better as they are not as greasy since you are using cheese….

I am going to try this. I love Thanksgiving leftovers but the kids get sick of it after the first day so this will spruce it up a bit for them. Thanks for sharing this recipe.

Thank you for such great idea. I usually make it with chicken, celery, cranberries, cheese and mayo, and it is always a hit at parties. Now I can’t wait to try with Thanksgiving leftovers.

Could you freeze the dish with dough uncooked and bake later?

    • Lina (Hip's Modern Martha)

I think you could! I haven’t tried it yet, but if you do let us know 🙂 Good idea!

We like to have Turkey, Stuffing, Potatoes and Brown Gravy on top of Toast as leftovers. So delicious with some Stouffers Macaroni and cheese on the side!!

    • Tracey

that is what we do too, except we put it over untoasted bread! We will have to try toasting the bread. I bet that is good too ;o)

Yum! We also do the crescent ring with tuna, cheese and halved cherry tomatoes. It’s delicious!
