Love brie recipes? Check out this creamy whipped cheese dip!

Part of my job here at Hip2Save is to try out popular food trends and report back if they are worth the time and effort. Whipped Brie has taken TikTok and Instagram by storm, and is popular right now. I was very inspired by this viral Instagram video and excited to make it myself! The process entails first removing the rind from two wheels of brie, and whipping the cheese up in a food processor until smooth and creamy.

Turns out, this brie cheese dip is pretty fantastic!  It takes under 5 minutes to whip up a very elevated-tasting spreadable appetizer that is perfect to share with a crowd. The next time you are entertaining, give this fun appetizer a try.

What goes with brie cheese?

The best part is you can spread your whipped brie on a plate and add any toppings that would pair well with brie cheese. Sweet jams and spreads are great choices such as honey, apricot jam, or blackberry jam. These are all great combinations to brie’s savory creamy texture.

One of my favorites is fig jam. I topped mine today with chili fig spread, chopped pecans, and chives. Spread your whipped brie on a water cracker or sliced apple for a unique and tasty appetizer!

Tips for making this spreadable brie cheese dip:

  • Keep in mind it’s easier to trim off the rind from the brie when the cheese is cold and firm.
  • I used a food processor, but you can try whipping this brie dip up with a stand mixer instead.
  • I love this idea of a make-ahead appetizer! Consider creating it the day of your party, store it covered in the fridge, and then bring it out for the party when your guests arrive.
  • If you don’t enjoy a strong brie flavor, I am wondering if you can substitute some cream cheese for a more mellow flavor. If you have done that let us know!

If you’re tired of bringing the same ole cream cheese dip, try whipped brie.

I loved how much easier brie is to eat when it’s spreadable like this! It’s so delicious, and a great idea for a last-minute party snack. Feel free to experiment with your own favorite fruit and nut combo as this is so easy to cater to taste! Enjoy!

I don’t have a food processor. I guess a blender would do as well? I am going to try it.

Ya, if its a high-powered one I would think so. You can add a drizzle of olive oil to make it cream together better if needed. Also, if you let it come to room temp in a bowl can use a mixer.
