I got a Linnmon top in white, some finished quarter round moulding from Home depot and made a portable Lego table for <$12. You cut the trim to the needed lengths and angle right in the store, and then just glue it down with super glue and clamps. With the table top being lightweight and bright, it makes it easy to bring out, put it on a surface for Lego play as well as see small pieces and separate them out.

I have the linnmon top desk for probably 5 years now. It is cheap and good. Used it as a desk before and now it is my craft table.

Where is the link to the butcherblock tabletop at the beginning of the post?

Search on the ikea site for Karlby, Barkaboda, or Säljan. We used Karlby and the quality is superb! The Säljan is the light colored one in the photo and it’s also the cheapest of the butcher block options.

        Thanks, ThriftyChristy!
