What is “Clear the List”? It’s a nationwide movement to support teachers by purchasing items for their school supply lists.

School will be back in session soon (some districts start in just a couple of weeks!), and teachers are already working hard to prepare their classrooms for the new 2025-2026 school year. This includes stocking up on school supplies for their students!

Did you know that many teachers pay for the majority of classroom supplies out of their own pockets? Yes, it’s true! Classroom supplies are not cheap, and many school districts and families are struggling. This leaves many teachers to pay for school supplies out of their own pockets.

Teachers always go the extra mile for their students, so let’s show them how much we appreciate them by giving back and helping to fulfill their supply lists!

You can help by donating items from teachers’ Amazon shopping lists!

Teachers and educational professionals can head over to Amazon, create a classroom wish list, and then share their lists publicly. Anyone can ‘donate’ items that are on the list, and after donating, donors can even leave a note or message letting the teacher know how much they are appreciated. So awesome!

Even better, if you post your list on social media and tag Amazon with #clearthelist, you may find that your list is cleared BY Amazon! So cool!

Teachers, follow these steps to make your classroom wish list on Amazon:

  • Head over to Amazon and hover over Account & List at the top. Select ‘Create a List’ from the drop-down menu and name your list.
  • Hover over the three dots More menu on the right, and click Manage List to update your shipping address (this is important!) and other preferences like whether you want the list to be private or public. You can also designate whether your list is for an organization, and if so, you’ll have the option to provide the website address of the organization.
  • Click ‘Save’ and then you can start adding items to your list!
  • To add items to your wish list, simply browse for products on Amazon and then click ‘Add to List’ under the Buy box on the right-hand side of any item’s product detail page.
  • Only list owners can make changes through Manage List. Both list owners and collaborators will be able to add and remove items.

If you’re a teacher, be sure to share your teacher list in the comments below so that readers can help clear the list! 🙌

Hello Everyone, I am a School Records Secretary at Grove Park Elementary School. I support the Administration, Teachers and Staff. I am in charge of Attendance tracking, helping cover the front desk, along with keeping track of the FTE for School funding, and doing surveys for FTE. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Thank you for being thoughtful and considerate! This will be my 19th year teaching! It will be my 17th year teaching 3rd grade math. Building relationships with my students and teaching students to fall in love with math is my jam! Any donation is greatly appreciated!

Passionate Special educator here! I teach grades Kinder through 2nd grade in a self-contained room and I love my job. We really would love the chair pocket organizers since our desks have no storage. Giving the students a place they can store their visuals and important items helps give them the independence they are striving for! Anything helps!

I teach K-2 Autistic Support in a self-contained classroom with behavioral services in place. My paraeducator, BHT, and I have a room full of nonverbal student that we teach with love and a multi-sensory approach. Getting supplies to help improve their communication and behavioral concerns is a struggle in our low-income district.

This year is bringing a lot of exciting changes for our family! My oldest will be starting middle school with me at home, and both my younger boys will both be in school, and I’ll be beginning a new college mentoring position working with inner city Memphis kids. Because of that, our greatest needs are organizational tools and portable homeschool resources that help us stay organized and take learning wherever the day leads us.

We’d also appreciate prayers as we navigate this new season—for a smooth transition, wisdom, patience, and balance, and that our homeschool year would be filled with growth, joy, and plenty of grace

I am a first year teacher and would love help clearing my list! Teaching is my second career, my first being Human Resources. I switched jobs to a high school secretary, and then para, for more time with my daughter. It was through that I found my love for working with students. What better way to use my business experience than to become a business education teacher! I can’t wait to share my love of business with students!

Thank you so much for supporting educators and our students!! 🥰

I am going into my second year of teaching 4th grade and so excited to be back! Unfortunately my school has been under construction this summer and there is no ETA on when we will get back in. Might have to start the year in a different building/church without any of my supplies or things. That makes my wishlist even more critical and important this year! Anything helps and would abundantly bless this teacher and her low income students… thank you!!! 🙏🏻💖✨
