What is “Clear the List”? It’s a nationwide movement to support teachers by purchasing items for their school supply lists.

School will be back in session soon (some districts start in just a couple of weeks!), and teachers are already working hard to prepare their classrooms for the new 2025-2026 school year. This includes stocking up on school supplies for their students!

Did you know that many teachers pay for the majority of classroom supplies out of their own pockets? Yes, it’s true! Classroom supplies are not cheap, and many school districts and families are struggling. This leaves many teachers to pay for school supplies out of their own pockets.

Teachers always go the extra mile for their students, so let’s show them how much we appreciate them by giving back and helping to fulfill their supply lists!

You can help by donating items from teachers’ Amazon shopping lists!

Teachers and educational professionals can head over to Amazon, create a classroom wish list, and then share their lists publicly. Anyone can ‘donate’ items that are on the list, and after donating, donors can even leave a note or message letting the teacher know how much they are appreciated. So awesome!

Even better, if you post your list on social media and tag Amazon with #clearthelist, you may find that your list is cleared BY Amazon! So cool!

Teachers, follow these steps to make your classroom wish list on Amazon:

  • Head over to Amazon and hover over Account & List at the top. Select ‘Create a List’ from the drop-down menu and name your list.
  • Hover over the three dots More menu on the right, and click Manage List to update your shipping address (this is important!) and other preferences like whether you want the list to be private or public. You can also designate whether your list is for an organization, and if so, you’ll have the option to provide the website address of the organization.
  • Click ‘Save’ and then you can start adding items to your list!
  • To add items to your wish list, simply browse for products on Amazon and then click ‘Add to List’ under the Buy box on the right-hand side of any item’s product detail page.
  • Only list owners can make changes through Manage List. Both list owners and collaborators will be able to add and remove items.

If you’re a teacher, be sure to share your teacher list in the comments below so that readers can help clear the list! 🙌

I’m starting year 20 in the classroom in August, year 15 in Kindergarten. I am looking forward to welcoming a new group of kiddos in a few short weeks. My little one will be one of those faces taking on the world of Kindergarten this year. We are super excited to be together at school this year! 🤩

This is so kind of you! I am a kindergarten teacher, and I am going into my 13th year of teaching. Somehow even though I have been in this career for a long time, it is crazy how much I still need every year. My littles and I would love any of these items on my list.

I’ve been working hard this summer to make sure almost all my standard school supplies are covered, but I’m trying to add a little extra magic (and organization!) to my classroom this year. ✨
I’ve put together a wishlist of items that will go directly into the hands of my PreK students.
No donation is too small, and even sharing this post helps immensely! Thank you for helping us get ready for a wonderful year ahead. 📚❤️

I teach 3rd grade at a Title 1 school in Virginia. My district does a great job providing for the classroom, however I still have a wish list of items that will make the classroom a warm, welcoming, and fun space for the students that I get to spend 180 days with each year. https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/EG0T7831UE1Q?ref_=wl_share

As the school social worker for an elementary school with high need we have created our Channing Cheetah Care Closet. Families feel safe to request basic items at anytime. By meeting basic needs our students are better able to engage in their learning.
