I just wanted to say thank you to the whole Hip team for everything y’all are doing to keep people updated, up beat & continuing to keep the deals rolling in. I was shocked to see some of the childish comments & responses in the comments of this post. Not the time, definitely not the place. Collin and her team work hard, at no cost to us. The least we can do is show some respect and not add that type of behavior on their site. If keyboard warrior is your thing, then your on the wrong site. Again, thanks to all you lovely Hipsters. Stay safe!

You’re SO very welcome, Rita! Thank YOU for the sweet comment and for checking in with us each day here at hip2save. It sure means a lot! 🥰🤗

  21. Sherry

Dsw and American eagle are closing their stores also.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Thanks, Sherry! Those have been added to the list above!

I have 6 kids we fly through milk, bread, etc… they limit it to 2 gallons. I really wish I had my dairy cow I’ve been wanting, and I wish the weasel would not have killed my chickens 2 months ago. They don’t take into account how many people live in a household. My baby breast feeds but I don’t make enough milk so I feed a bottle at night. I can’t make the formula with our well water, I need to use nursery water or bottled water and the store is sold out. Why are people so greedy, they also bought all the pullups, and baby wipes. They should have made people prove they had a toddler or infant to purchase those items.

    • Stacy F (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Susan, I hear you 100%. I have 5 kids – two under 2 and, while we are fortunate to be stocked on diapers and wipes, we need milk. We can easily go through 5 gallons a week; we’ve already had to ration it to our 2yo to make sure there is enough for the 1yo. Hopefully, this will all get better soon.

      • Silva

Tip there is a limit per visit per adult. If possible try going again at night or the next day.

      • Karen

What about trying powdered milk, it’s still good, for the baby?

    • Adorkable

Let me start by saying that I’m not trying to be rude, mean, or negative. I think this site in a way promotes stock piling. While they don’t tell us to clear out shelves, they give us good deals and to some people(myself included) the deal is “too good” to leave any of whatever product it is on the shelf. If I can get a product that I know I will use such as toilet paper for dirt cheap, I will buy as much as I can afford. I’m talking about pre-Coronavirus. Now, it appears that those who started panicking cleared shelves of water and toilet paper. Those of us that are seeing that and do need some or will need some soon are kind of forced to buy what we can find whenever we find it because we don’t know when we will find it again. We are kind of forced to stock pile as well. I don’t have a ton of everything, but I have some of everything and I am blessed to know that in my family we are all helping each other out. A cousin of mine was running low on toilet paper and I was able to give him some. I couldn’t find beans and another cousin gave me a small bag. This whome situation has in a way brought my family together. We are all checking on each other more and if someone needs something we make sure they get it. So if you see me buying a lot of spaghetti sauce, know that I am not hoarding it specifically for myself, I am buying for my family and friends that can’t find any. I hope that everyone that is buying a lot of any product is also doing the same. Now is the time for all of us to check in on each other and help each other out. I would say this is a good time to meet and get to know your neighbors if you don’t already know them. I know we should be keeping our distance from others but a simple phone call can be made. You can also leave your neighbors a note in their mailbox. If you need milk or water, you could try leaving them a note introducing yourself and saying you hope they are well and maybe offer up something that you have a lot of in turn for water or milk. Leave your name, address, and number on the note. Maybe they will call you and you guys are able to work out a deal. It doesn’t hurt to try. Stay safe everyone!

      • Silva

Total agreement here! Please don’t judge. My family has three members that are in the high risk group (two aren’t allowed to drive because of medical reasons) so my sister and I are helping by buy extra for others. It’s bad enough that we have to disinfect the packages outside their door.l and leave. When I saw a picture of a woman with a cart filled with eggs I thought there’s me for myself, my sisters, our kids, my aunt and mother, grandpa and my great aunt…. no one buys that many for a small family.

    • Autumn

I had 6 loaf of bread in my cart and some lady walked up behind me and made a rude comment. We have 9 kids. School is out and you know 6 loafs of bread is not going to last. Wish we had gotten a cow too but we didn’t have time to get the fence up. I do have 15 baby chicks, tractor supply had a few left and said they will be getting more soon. No frozen vegetables to be found so I got fresh today and will freeze myself. Thankfully, it’s plating time here.

    • Mima

Is there anyone who can shop for you? Another family member or friend that doesn’t need/want as much of the things you need? If you were in AZ I would gladly do this for you. Maybe there is a facebook ‘Buy Nothing ‘ group in your areayou could share your need on.

The Ark Encounter in Ky is closed

  24. Kathryn

Walmart pickup order was cancelled yesterday. Corporate told me there would be no more after today so I could not reorder.

    • shoppergal

      Yep. No delivery either

    • karenhuang

Oh no, I was hoping to depend on it without going inside the store.

      • Mae

That’s messed up. I thought pick up and deliver would help to not spear the virus. Either way I almost think the virus is targeting the elderly whom may not be tech savvy, and the poor who cannot use their food stamps online or for delivery.

  25. shoppergal

Macy’s and their affiliates are closing too

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Thanks for letting us know! I found that as well!

  26. queen62

Communities need to help each other out if at all possible. I am fortunate to have what I need without going to the store. 2 adults in household we always keep gallons of water for just in case. If you can help out a neighbor do so. We will only get thru this if we come together. I feel sorry for families with small children that can’t get the basics. Hopefully nearby stores will restock and limit the hoarders.

  27. Courtenay

Harris Teeter is closing everyday at 9pm during this crisis.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Thanks so much for commenting! Good to know!

  28. Liz

Texas had our first death today too. 😣 Our Walmart closes at night & opens up at 8am. HEB is open 8am – 8pm to clean & restock shelves. We can’t seem to find TP anywhere but we were able to get 2 cases of water bottles this morning. Still no tp. We aren’t out yet but will be in a few days. People are hoarding & it’s an Ugly site. Our schools spring break has been 2 weeks so far but just said it’s closed another week now. I live near Dallas, Tx. & they have closed our inside dining areas & only allowing drive thru, to go Orders or Delivery. There are lots of people with no income because our theaters, Special Events, Jobs, Etc. have all been Cancelled or Postponed. There is talk about the Daycares Closing too But so far they’re still open, I’m sure that’s about to happen too. I am PRAYING the steps we are taking will put an end to this Disaster soon. I hope if your state hasn’t gone crazy like ours is But keep your eye’s & Ears Open our Grocery Items all have a LIMIT on them & it’s sad that you can’t even buy enough for your family. This all happened over the weekend when the Hoarders hit the Stores so beware your State might be next. Good luck.

    • Rachel F.

Unfortunately it wasn’t the first. Just the first the public knows about it. My sister is a mortician in Dallas and she knows more than we do.

  29. Silva

😭I was really hoping that Disney would offer free shipping. My son’s birthday is coming up and the special item I wanted to get him is there.

  30. Silva

For some light heart news I was trying to get a kid in a local school but they were giving me a hard time because it was late in the year for transfers. They said they wouldn’t have room – best to wait to July and do it with the rest. Friday after the district stated it was closing my current teacher called me to talk about the email that morning for paperwork from them asking for paperwork.

  31. DINO

I continue to have issues where I am unable to see all posts. For example, this shows 219 comments, but the app is only loading maybe 20 or 30. I just did an update but this issue has persisted for many many months. I have deleted app and reinstalled without any correction as well. I use an iPhone. Is anyone else experiencing this??

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Oh bummer! I’m so sorry about that. We’re checking on this now! Thanks a ton for bringing that to our attention!

    • queen62

You are not alone I have the Samsung Galaxy A90 and click on comments and the app shuts down. I have to view comments on my old phone or use my tablet. They are working to resolve. Still waiting

    • llee

I have this issue too on iPhone

    • Jen R

I’ve noticed how most are mentioning closing until the end of March. Not sure why everyone is picking that timeline, but you can bet it will extend well beyond that.

    • queen62

Schools in NY closed until April 20th.

    • Adorkable

I think they are saying they are closed until the end of March as sort of a starting point. I would imagine that as it gets closer to the end of March they will see how things are going and reevaluate whether or not they can or should open up again. Stores and restaurants can’t predict how far out they will have to be closed. So let’s say if Macy’s said they are closing until August 1st(they didn’t say this, it’s just an example), that information would get spread around and if the whole Coronavirus situation slows down and they give everyone an all clear to open up on June 1st then Macy’s would lose business because people would still think they are shut until August. It’s easier to extend the length of the closure than reduce it. We have to wait and see what the data tells the experts and see what they decide.

  36. ashleywebb

Old Navy, Gap, Banana Republic, And Athleta are closed for at least 2 weeks beginning tomorrow.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Thank you! Those have been added to the post!

THANK YOU HI TO SAVE CREW. I also check daily for updates which are very helpful. I really don’t understand why there are no lysol wipes to be found in this worldwide pandemic situation. I am one of the high risk people the news is talking about & was recently discharged from the hospital. I was told to stay home & if I get any of the symptoms, to go to the ER & be put on a respirator! I don’t have a fever but do have a runny nose & SOB. I have been trying my best to disinfect my surroundings but it’s impossible without the lysol wipes. If ANYONE knows where I can find some, PLEASE HELP! I really don’t want to infect anyone else if I have/get the Coronavirus. I have not been tested YET! STAY SAFE EVERYONE! Thank you for all your hard work & updates & GOD BLESS

  42. Julie

Not sure if it’s been shared but some Olive Garden restaurants have gone to just car side pickup and even residential delivery which wasn’t offered for smaller orders before. As a Darden employee myself I am so proud the company is trying to accommodate customers AND they are helping their employees with emergency sick days and pay. Its truly amazing

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Thanks, Julie! This has been added!

  43. Motomom

  48. Fran

    Jcpenney is closed since yesterday

  49. K

It seems that craft stores are still open, anyone know if that’s true. I thought non essential was closing?0

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

These are the voluntary closures. Some areas are still allowed to have stores open. In my area only dining hall areas are closed. Some states have told all non-essential businesses to close. It depends on your area.

      • K

        Thank you!

      • Susan

Joann is doing a discount for online orders picked up curbside.
