Peacock is a free streaming service that doesn’t require a credit card. They offer 40,000+ hours of hit movies, TV shows, and more including Harry Potter, Downton Abbey, Men in Black, and more.
They also offer two paid plans to unlock exclusive content including their own original shows and movies like Wolf Like Me, MacGruber, and One of Us is Lying on Peacock’s Premium plans, starting at $4.99 and $9.99 a month.
Most apps make you sign in with your TV provider to watch the latest episodes of your favorite shows. The CBS app allows you to watch sometimes up to 7 episodes without signing into a TV provider. This is great if you don’t have cable but still enjoy some hit CBS shows such as Survivor, Amazing Race, and more while they air.
You may be familiar with Redbox by seeing their kiosks at the exit of your local grocery stores, but they actually also have a streaming service for free. You’ll have access to stream live TV for free as well as an extensive collection of free movies.
Many people aren’t aware of this, but Roku actually offers over 250 free live channels, including major news channels like ABC and NBC. They also have thousands of free movies and TV shows. Simply check out your channels on Roku and click “Live TV”. For the movies and TV shows, download the Roku channel.
Of course, you can always add pretty much any streaming service to your Roku too, but they aren’t going to be free; it just serves to keep all your channels organized and in one place.
Pluto TV is also another streaming service that is free! Any user has access to 250+ channels by simply going on their website. They also have a library of on-demand movies, including the entire Twilight franchise (I know Netflix has Twilight BUT for those looking for a free solution!)
You don’t even need to create an account, but, if you do, you’ll be able to favorite your most-viewed channels and sync you devices.
YouTube TV as a whole is not free since it’s meant to replace any cable companies you use currently. However, they offer various free movies with ads including Gone In 60 Seconds, The Island, and more. If you’re interested in a YouTube TV subscription, they do offer a free two-week trial.
Amazon Prime Video is included if you’re already an Amazon Prime subscriber (I mean, who isn’t! 😂). Although there are some videos, movies, and shows you can rent or buy, there are countless free ones, too: from documentaries to original TV shows and movies.
Without being an Amazon Prime member, you can enjoy their 30-day free trial and purchase a Prime Video subscription for $8.99/month.
Sling TV offers a couple paid packages, however, if you add the channel to your Roku, you can enjoy countless free TV channels and programs. If you visit the homepage, you’ll also be able to enjoy these perks and view how many free channels you can get based on your zip code. My zip code includes over 80 free channels!
Tubi has an impressive collection of movie and TV titles, and all are available with no credit card! You’ll find local live news channels and blockbuster films from Warner Brothers, Paramount, MGM, and more. They even have some Tubi original shows you can give a try! You can add the Tubi channel to any device, including your Roku!
You may be able to enjoy these free streaming services as a bonus from your phone provider!
