Hey! I’m Alana, one of Collin’s sidekicks!

When I want to get dolled up and feel like a million bucks I love to throw on some gorgeous false eyelashes! As a disclaimer, I am by no means a beauty expert and I probably go without makeup over 50% of the time, but when the moment strikes this favorite product of mine makes me feel runway ready!

I always had long, volume filled lashes and hair, but after I had my son, all my thick locks went flat! I’ve contemplated getting eyelash extensions for over a year, but the frugal momma in me just can’t do it.

Plus, I have horrible allergies and could just picture myself rubbing the lashes right off my face, so I started doing some research for some of the best false lash extensions on the market. I wanted lashes I could do myself that I know would look great.

First, I tried individual lashes, which took a good two hours to apply. 😳 They looked pretty good, but who has hours to spend putting on lashes? Not me! Needless to say, that didn’t work out very well.

The next hopeful idea was eyelash strips, but let me tell you, I did not like how they looked so fake on my face. I wasn’t trying to go for a huge, unrealistic look. I wanted a little more than what mascara was giving me. Plus, finding a good false lash is pretty intimidating at times.

Finally, one day as I was scrolling through Facebook, I saw someone doing a Live video on these HOT new lashes! I was instantly drawn to how amazing they looked and how simple it seemed to put them on.

Plus, their name was “Lash & Crown Beauty.” Who doesn’t want to look and feel like a princess when you live in a house full of smelly boys? 😉

The lashes are vegan & cruelty-free, use 100% sterilized human hair, and can be used over 25 times before having to discard them and grab a new pair! There are three different styles: Enchanted, Ever After, and The Royal Ball. I have tried two of the three: Enchanted and Ever After. Ever After is my top favorite.

Ever After (shown above) has a beautiful 3D Wispy effect which creates a more natural look than most lashes. The lashes are on a clear, flexible band, which means you almost don’t even notice you’re wearing them.

When I first read that, I had no idea why that even mattered, but after wearing them myself, I totally understand why now! I can wear them for hours and not even realize they’re on due to the band being so comfortable and light. When I wear these lashes, I get so many compliments on how nice they are, and everyone thinks they’re actually mine.

On to my next favorite…

Enchanted (shown above). These are very comfortable but feature a black cotton band, which seems to be adored by many lash lovers. This is also the style Lash & Crown Beauty recommends for your first pair or the most subtle, natural appearance.

You’ll need some glue for them all too!

Before you start giving yourself the royal treatment, make sure you grab some lash glue as these lashes do NOT include the glue with their set. I used the company’s recommendation of KISS Strip Eyelash Adhesive with Aloe, and it gets the job done! In fact, KISS is the first lash glue I’ve used that hasn’t damaged my own lashes!

After doing tons of research, I’ve learned that you can do your full face of makeup and the lashes will stick after! I always thought you had to put your lashes on clean, non-makeup skin first and then do your face, but you don’t have to with these beauties.

Here are some other tips I’ve learned…

The photo above shows how you will receive your eyelashes. One is for your left eye, and one is for your right. To know which lash goes where turn the box so the lashes are curved the way you would wear them.

One thing I learned from watching Lash & Crown Beauty’s application video is that not all lashes are sized for everyone. You have to measure and trim them to fit your eye shape. Once you do that, these lashes look like they’re your own!

As you can see above, I only trimmed a small amount off my lashes. They have a little bit of stickiness, so you don’t have to use glue to place them onto your lash line to measure. What I do is trim the outer lash that extends past my eye, since it gives it a more natural look and added comfort. Always cut the outer corners, not the inside.

So how do you put them on? 🤔

I like to use these tweezers or an eyelash applicator. Then I hold the lashes and apply the glue – a little goes a long way, trust me! Wait 30-60 seconds before putting the lashes on after the glue to get the best adhesion to your skin and prevent them from slipping around during application.

Then, place the lashes as close to your natural line as you can. Where you place them is not the final spot (you can move them a bit but try to avoid that as much as possible). Start by getting the middle where you want it first, then line up the outer corner, and finally the inside.

Last, but not least – gently press your own lashes into the false lashes. This will blend them together and create a more natural look. Tada! You have gorgeous lashes! Note that you also don’t need mascara when wearing false eyelashes. (This will also help preserve them in the long run.)

Removing them is simple too!

All you need to remove your lashes is a little makeup remover (or I use a mixture of coconut oil and water). I just put a little on my finger and go across the lash band. Then I gently pull at the band to remove (never pull on the lashes). Once they’re off, I try to take off a little more of the remaining glue from the band so I have a fresh set for the next time.

As I mentioned above, these lashes can be reused over 25 times!!! 😱 My Ever After lashes have been used 15 times now, and they still look like I just opened them for the first time and another pair I’ve had for over a year since I don’t wear them too often.

The final results stun me every time!

Thanks for this informative post. I’ve always thought about trying lashes but didn’t know anything about them. Appreciate all your tips and tricks!

    • Alana (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Anytime! I feel like its easier to learn how to do things from the non-experts. We can learn together 🙂

  3. Mari

Beautiful and great for the holidays

    • Alana (Hip2Save Sidekick)

      Thanks Mari!

  4. Swirlypop

I’ve tried other false lashes and it was an epic fail. I’ll give these a try. Thanks for the detailed post. 😃

    • Alana (Hip2Save Sidekick)

I have as well and they always looked “too fake” for my liking. Hope you love yours as much as I do!

  5. jill

These are beautiful but if you want your own, Lash Boost is the way to go!

  6. Anna

I would like to try one, but how can I not to use mascara, if my own lashes white and short 🙁
    Any advice?

    • ~jenn~

I always curl and apply mascara before applying false lashes. Doesn’t matter if I’m applying falsies on top of my lashes or under my lashes. Just a light, single coat. A good piece of advice that deserves mentioning, don’t blow on the lashes to help get the glue tacky. The bacteria in your saliva can end up in the lashes and possibly cause eye problems.

    • Alana (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Like Jenn mentioned, curl your lashes first so they blend with the false lashes. You can use mascara, it just may decrease the amount of reuses you get out of the false lashes.

  7. Laura

Your great review and the amazing pictures convinced me to order a pair for my daughter’s Christmas stocking. Thanks so much for the discount code. Free shipping too!!!

    • Alana (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Awesome! What a great stocking stuffer.

  8. Natalie

How long does shipping take? I’d love to try these!

    • Alana (Hip2Save Sidekick)

I am in the same state as the company, so it was very quick for me.

  9. Buckeyemom

I have always wanted to try false lashes but I hate the “fake” look…although, these look amazing on you! I have been using Latisse for the past year & I am loving the results (when I remember to actually use it daily). Maybe I will give these a go for the few times hubby & I leave the house without the kiddos 😉

    • Tara

Do u have recommendations on where to get latisse. I was using that too and loved the results but it just got way too expensive.

      • Buckeyemom

It is so expensive! I get it at my Plastic Surgeon’s office. I am also enrolled in the Brilliant Distinctions point program (I do Botox, Juevederm & Latisse…all Allergan). So I regularly receive rewards. With all my previous points, I was able to get my Latisse for $60. Plus, if you don’t already do this…only use 1 drop & cut the brush bristles in half. This was a recommendation from the Doctor. Makes the product last twice as long but with the same results. With all the Hip2Save savings, I can finally “spoil” myself! 🙂

    • Alana (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Thank you! I do not wear them every day but they are perfect for when I want a little extra pop.

  10. Alyssa

Does anyone use the magnetic kind of fake lashes? That seems easier to me

    • Alana (Hip2Save Sidekick)

I’ve tried those and did not like them at all!! They were very heavy feeling and looked ridiculous on me. I threw them away.

  11. Danielle

Can you try the magnetic ones next? 🙂

    • Alana (Hip2Save Sidekick)

I’ve tried them before and did not like them at all!! They were very heavy feeling and looked ridiculous on me. I threw them away.

  12. Laura

I just tried false lashes this week for my first time. It takes practice lol, I had some trouble at first but finally got it! Thank you for your input on how-to. Very helpful! Also, I love the kiss lash glue with aloe that’s what I use.

    • Alana (Hip2Save Sidekick)

It definitely takes a little practice but once you find your sweet spot, you can put them on in a flash!

  13. Julie

Alana, did you use the glue you recommended? I read the few reviews and some of them weren’good.

    • Alana (Hip2Save Sidekick)

I do. It’s the only glue I use.

      • Julie

        Thank you!

  14. Emily

I love this! I like to get glammed up during the holidays, and usually use fake lashes this time of year! This year, though, I am springing for eyelash extensions (expensive, but I got a groupon!). I don’t plan on keeping them up after January though.

    • Alana (Hip2Save Sidekick)

      How fun!

  15. Simpleton

I just ordered both the lashes and the glue. I found Walgreens to be half price from your Amazon link for the glue and Walgreens also has online code for 25% off right now also. I’m super excited to try these as I have been wanting some as my real lashes are barely there anymore. Hopefully my eyes will pop once again with these!! Thank you so much!!

    • Alana (Hip2Save Sidekick)

      Great deal!!

  16. Njoyrunning

I was just talking with a friend last night about flaw eyelashes. Super excited to try these!! And way cheaper than the ones I had applied by a professional that only last 3 days!

    • Alana (Hip2Save Sidekick)

      You’re going to love them!

  17. 50

Falsies are so much better than eyelash extensions- not only better for the health of your lashes but when done right, they look a lot more natural than extensions. I’ve yet to see eyelash extensions that don’t look ridiculously OTT or like spider lashes lol

    • Alana (Hip2Save Sidekick)

I have some friends who have extensions that look great. Being that I work from the house, I can’t justify the cost.

    • Emily

Eyelash extensions do not ruin your natural lashes at all and I’ve seen many natural beautiful applications.

      • 50

I didn’t say that “they ruin your natural lashes”, Emily. But it’s a fact that anything that puts stress on the hair follicle can cause damage to it over time…not to mention that the adhesive can cause irritation and other unpleasant side effects. Whereas w/ falsies you don’t have those same risks. You are free to ask any dermatologist or eye doctor about this and they’ll tell you the same.

As far as how “natural” they look, it’s just my opinion that it is usually pretty obvious when someone has them on and I just don’t find that to look good. You are free to disagree and that’s okay 🙂

    • Emily

Also, many women you see day to day have extensions, you can’t tell because they’re applied very naturally.

  18. Renee

I love using Lash Boost for length but need something a little more for fullness…might look into these.

    • Alana (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Fullness was my main goal too.

  19. LeeLee

These are great! You look beautiful!!

    • Alana (Hip2Save Sidekick)

      Thank you!

  20. Sally

Site won’t allow me to type in discount code

    • Jennifer (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Hi, Sally! I just got it to work. I’m using a desktop. If you are on mobile, you may try switching over.

    • Alana (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Hi Sally! I am finding that I am still able to enter the discount code. It is on the same screen as where you enter your address.

  21. JoAnne

Where is Stetson? I thought he was our new trial model?!?

    • Alana (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Haha! I will be sure to let Stetson know he has a new item on this “to-try” list.

  22. Brea

These are really expensive for non-mink lashes. I’m a daily lash wearer and have tried expensive mink to drugstore brands. My favorite are Kiss Ritzy & Shy lashes. I pay just over $2 per pair and get them at Ulta when they have a buy 2, get 1 Free sale and add one of their coupons on top. These lashes easily last me 2-3 weeks.

    • Melanie

I don’t think they are expensive at all. I used to wear Ritzy all the time (my favorite! never lasted me over 2 weeks though lol), but I did purchase a set of these and I’m hooked now. These are human hair and not the normal non-mink synthetic kind, which I believe is why they are the price they are. But even still, you get over 25 wears from them and the cheapest is $20. Less than $1 works for me, especially that today will be my 28th day and they still look brand new 😍 Plus the box it comes in isn’t the throwaway kind. I loved Ritzy and they were my go to, but you’re paying for quality here.

  23. Laura Jose

Do you take these off each night or can you wear them for more than one day?

  24. leah Opinion

OMG i bought these last year and i finally put them on
It is so much easier than any others i’ve ever tried!!! i bought the exact same glue and it was truly easy!!!
Love it! I’m gonna order the enchanted onetoo
