I had an ornament and refrigerator magnet with the years/pic made on Shutterfly, and a pet memorial statue with wings to put in the house by the fireplace where his bed was. These are all great ideas and gifts as my parents’ pup is not long for this world. She is very old.
Thanks for sharing your sweet idea! 🥰
Such a great post! I have friends that are super close to their animals and I’m not an animal lover at all. This really helped give me some ideas to show I care abont them and their loss. Thanks for posting!!!
You’re so welcome, Sara! So glad it was helpful! 💕
I’m not a pet person so I have no idea, but two sets of my grandkids lost their family dogs within weeks of each other and I wanted to send the kids something as well as my daughter in law as it was her dog since high school. For the kids, I sent them each a stuffed animal of a dog that looked like their pet so they could snuggle when they missed their dog. For my daughter in law, I gave her a pet memorial plaque with clips below it to clip pictures on (got it on Amazon) https://a.co/19bfbMc
Thanks for sharing, CJ! So sorry about your grandkids’ dogs. Sounds like you gave them some comforting gifts! 🥰
Just so you know (and for some people this might sound crazy), there is a site that my cousin used to make a stuffed animal replica of the cat she lost. I think it was MyPetsies or something like that. It is not cheap, but for some people that might be of comfort. I think it is interesting….you can get pillows with your pet’s picture, etc. Also, there are a couple of websites that supposedly use your pet’s ashes to make into a man made stone for jewelry. It is REALLY expensive in my opinion and since there is no way you can prove that your pet’s ashes are the ones used in the gem, I personally wouldn’t use the service….but I thought that was also an interesting concept…..
Thanks so much for those suggestions, Me! ❤️
