Veterans Day is Wednesday, November 11th, 2020!
In honor of Veterans Day 2020, many stores and restaurants will be offering up discounts, freebies, and deals for veterans, active-duty military members, and their spouses!
Please note that in many cases, proof of military service is required to get these deals. We recommend calling ahead to make sure that your local restaurants and retailers are participating (and to verify their ID requirements).

All active, retired, and former military members were invited to stop by Bad Daddy’s for a FREE All American Burger & Side on Veteran’s Day! Guests must present proof of military service.
All current and retired military members could enjoy a FREE entrée up to $14.95 and a FREE Dr. Pepper beverage with military ID (valid for dine-in only).
Veterans and active-duty military personnel could get a FREE meal from the Veterans Day Menu on November 11. This offer was valid for dine-in meals only, and you must show proof of military service.
Active duty and retired military could enjoy a FREE appetizer on November 11 with military ID or proof of service. This offer excludes Large Ahi Tuna Sashimi, Charbroiled Gulf Oysters, and Florida Stone Crabs.
On November 11, all past and present members of the armed forces could enjoy a FREE small or 10-piece order of boneless wings (depending on location) and a regular order of fries. This offer was valid for dine-in guests only, and proof of service was required.
Cafe Rio Mexican Grill was honoring all Veterans by offering 50% off their entire order, no coupon required.
Chili’s was offering veterans and active military members a FREE meal on November 11. Service members could select a free entrée from the following choices: Chicken Crispers, Margarita Grilled Chicken, Bowl of Chili, Soup & Salad, Chicken Bacon Ranch Quesadillas, Just Bacon Burger, Oldtimer with Cheese, or Cajun Chicken Pasta. Veterans, Active Military, Reserves, and Military Spouses could show U.S. Military ID to receive a Buy-One, Get-One Free Entrée. This offer was valid in-restaurant only.
Every Veterans Day, all Cotton Patch Cafe restaurants were proud to serve their award-winning Chicken Fried Steak or Chicken Fried Chicken FREE to all veterans and active-duty members of the military.
Coolgreens was giving a FREE entrée to all veterans and military personnel on November 11. Military ID was required.
Military members and veterans could purchase Costco Membership Activation Certificates to join Costco as a new member and receive over $60 in savings! On Veteran’s Day, Cracker Barrel will offer veterans a choice of a FREE piece of Double Chocolate Fudge Coca-Cola Cake OR a Pumpkin Pie Latte at all 660 Cracker Barrel Old Country Store locations nationwide.
Denny’s was inviting all active and inactive military personnel into participating Denny’s locations nationwide, on November 11 from 5 a.m. to noon to enjoy a FREE Build Your Own Grand Slam. This offer was valid for dine-in only and was not available for online ordering through ‘Denny’s on Demand.’
Veterans and active-duty military members could get a FREE meal at Dick’s Last Resort with the purchase of one adult entrée on Veterans Day.
On November 11, veterans and active-duty military personnel were invited to participating Dunkin’ restaurants nationwide for a FREE donut of their choice, no purchase necessary.
The first 50 veterans and active-duty military personnel at participating Dunkin’ restaurants on November 11 also received a thank you card written by members of the community from A Million Thanks, a nonprofit organization that sends millions of letters of thanks and encouragement directly to service members.
On November 11, Fazoli’s was offering FREE spaghetti with meat or marinara sauce for veterans and military service members.
Veterans could stop into their local Great Clips to receive a FREE haircut or a FREE haircut card to use on a later date, valid through December 31st. You just had to show your military ID or DD 214 form. Non-military customers could also purchase a service at a U.S. Great Clips salon on November 11 and get a FREE haircut card to give to a veteran.
On November 11, each Gordon Biersch location was hosting a tapping party and giving active-duty servicemembers and veterans a FREE entrée from the following choices: 7 oz. Top Sirloin, Beer-Battered Fish & Chips, Cajun Pasta, and Märzen BBQ Burger.
From November 11 – 17, Gordon Biersch was also donating 25¢ from the sale of each pint of their Veteran’s IPA to a local veteran’s charity.
On November 11, all active-duty, retired military, and veterans who purchased a beverage at any participating Hooters could receive a FREE entrée from the Hooters Veterans Day Menu. This offer was available for dine-in only when you present a military ID or proof of service.
Houlihan’s Restaurant + Bar was honoring America’s veterans and active-duty military members on November 11 with a FREE meal, in addition to the fifteen-percent food discount that was offered every day throughout the year.
Service members could choose from the following entrées: Houlihan’s Burger, Veggie Burger, Heartland Grilled Chicken Salad, Fish and Chips, Brentwood Chicken Sandwich, Southwest Grilled Chicken Wrap, Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo, and a 5-oz. Petite Top Sirloin. Houlihan’s restaurants in the northeast will serve Down Home Pot Roast in lieu of the 5 oz. Petite Top Sirloin.
Many Hy-Vee stores celebrate Veterans Day each year by offering a FREE breakfast buffet to all veterans and active-duty military members. Many stores also offer planned programs, displays, entertainment or other activities along with the breakfast event. Head here for more details.

Veterans, active duty, reserve, and retired military could enjoy a FREE meal at the restaurant. Military ID or proof of service is required.
On November 11, all veterans could enjoy 20% off at Joe’s Crab Shack with proof of service or military ID/badge. This offer was valid for dine-in only and excludes alcohol.
If you’re a veteran or an active-duty servicemember, you could get FREE admission for yourself AND one guest to Knott’s Berry Farm from valid dates. Keep in mind that the eligible person must be present and show proper ID at the entrance gate.
In addition, veterans/active military members were able to purchase up to six additional tickets for just $42 each from November 3 – 21 or $48 each from December 2 – 19.
Back in April, Kohl’s launched a new Military Mondays program, which offers a 15 percent in-store discount for active and former military personnel, veterans and their families. For Veterans Day last year, Kohl’s is doubling that discount to 30% on in-store purchases!
This was the FIRST time that Kohl’s has ever offered its 30% discount for anyone without a Kohl’s Charge, outside of its Mystery offer (which can be anywhere from 20 to 40% off). This offer was valid from November 7 -11 with your military ID. Click here for more information.
In celebration of Veterans Day, all veterans of the U.S. armed forces could receive FREE admission to LEGOLAND Florida Resort from November 1 – 25.
Military veterans could also purchase tickets for up to six guests at a 50% discount on the same dates! Veterans must present valid military ID or other proof of veteran status at a LEGOLAND ticket window on the day of their visit. Note that this offer was not available online last year.
On Veteran’s Day, veterans and active military members could receive a FREE $5 HOT-N-READY Lunch Combo. No coupon was needed to redeem this offer, but proof of service is required.
Logan’s Roadhouse was inviting all active-duty and retired U.S. military personnel to enjoy a FREE meal from the American Roadhouse Menu on November 11 from 3PM-6PM.
And every Wednesday from 3-6pm starting 11/20 through the end of 2019, veterans and active military could score a free American Roadhouse Meal with purchase of an entrée ($8.99 or more).
Also beginning November 11, Logan’s Roadhouse was also asking guests to round up their check to benefit Folds of Honor and its mission to provide educational scholarships to spouses and children of America’s fallen and disabled service-members.
Veterans ate and played for FREE on November 11 last year with a $10 game card and FREE entrée for all current and retired military. Veterans and active service members could also receive 10% off every day at Main Event, including bowling, food, birthdays, non-alcoholic beverages, games, etc.
On Sunday, November 10, McCormick & Schmick’s was offering all Veterans, members of the National Guard, Gold Star Parents and Gold Star Spouses a FREE entrée with military identification. This offer was valid for dine-in guests only.
On November 11 only, all veterans and active-duty military could receive the first 6oz of yogurt FREE with a valid military ID or proof of service at participating Menchie’s locations.
Veterans and active-duty military personnel could get a FREE Sandwich and a slice of cake on November 11. Be there at noon for the live rendition of the National Anthem! Available at all MISSION BBQ locations.
In honor of Veterans Day, visitors to 400 participating National Parks can take advantage of a FREE Entrance Day on November 11. This offer was valid for everyone, not just military families! Check out the list of participating parks here.
On the Border plans to thank active and former military members for their service on November 11 with a FREE Combo Meal. All you had to do was simply show your military ID or proof of service, and choose two of your favorites from the Combo Menu!
Outback was honoring all heroes with 20% off their entire check (excluding alcohol, taxes, and gratuity) from November 8 – 11. Can’t make it on those dates? All servicemen and women, police officers, firefighters, and first responders could get 10% off their entire check every day at Outback Steakhouse!
On November 11, Pie Five Pizza was honoring active and retired military and current or past members of the Armed Forces or Department of Defense with a FREE personal pizza. This offer was valid in-store only with ID or proof of service.
Pilot Flying J was inviting all active-duty and retired military veterans to enjoy a FREE Pilot Coffee and choice of one FREE PJ Fresh breakfast sandwich, breakfast pizza or breakfast grill item. On Veteran’s Day from 7 AM – 7 PM, active-duty military and veterans could enjoy a FREE 12-ounce coffee & donut at Price Chopper and Market 32 locations!
On November 11, veterans, military personnel, and their families were invited to save 10% on groceries at Publix. This offer was valid for in-store purchases only and excluded prescriptions, alcohol, tobacco, gift cards, lottery tickets, postage stamps, and money services. Customers were responsible for all applicable taxes.
For two days, Redbox was offering an exclusive promo code to use at any military Redbox location where you could get a Rent 1 Get 1 FREE deal on a 1-night movie or game rental.
On November 11, Red Robin was honoring veterans and active-duty service members with a FREE Tavern Double Burger and Bottomless Steak Fries with proof of service. This offer was valid for dine-in guests only.
On November 11, Rock Bottom Restaurant & Brewery was honoring all active-duty service members and veterans with a FREE entree from a special Veterans Day menu. Guests must be in uniform or provide Military ID.
Additionally, Rock Bottom will offer Veteran’s IPA from November 11 – 17, with 25¢ from the sale of each pint going to a local veteran’s charity. Each Rock Bottom location was also hosting a tapping party on November 11.
On November 11, all veterans and active military personnel could receive a FREE Mom’s Ricotta Meatballs + Spaghetti at Romano’s Macaroni Grill with military ID.
Now through January 31, active and former U.S. military personnel and their spouses could get a $10 gift card for joining Sam’s Club or renewing a membership. Proof of U.S. military service or valid identification is required.
Spaghetti Warehouse was celebrating Veterans Day weekend with a buy 1, get 1 FREE Grilled Chicken Alfredo, Original Recipe Spaghetti Entrée, or Lasagne. This offer was valid for everyone on November 9 – 11! You do not need to be a member of the military, but you must present this coupon to redeem the offer.
On November 11, participating Sport Clips locations were offering a FREE haircut to active duty military service members and veterans with valid ID. One dollar from every Sports Clips haircut was also donating to the VFW’s Sport Clips Help A Hero Scholarship program.
Veterans, active-duty service members, and military spouses could enjoy a FREE tall (12-ounce) hot brewed coffee on November 11 at any participating Starbucks location.
Starbucks was also donating 25¢ from the purchase of every brewed coffee purchase to the non-profit organizations Team Red, White and Blue and Team Rubicon, whose programs support the mental and physical wellbeing of veterans.
On Veteran’s Day, Target was offering ALL active duty military, veterans and their spouse and/or dependent children a 10% off coupon, valid to use both in-store and online!
Veterans received 50% off dinner November 11 – 13 at Texas de Brazil when they mentioned this offer and showed a valid military ID.
All active and retired military members were invited to Texas Roadhouse on November 11 from 11 AM to 4 PM for a FREE meal from the Early Dine Menu at any location nationwide. Must present valid military ID to redeem.
In honor of Veterans Day, all veterans, active-duty military, and reservists could eat for FREE on November 11. Choose from select menu items, including Chicken Tenders, Ol’ Fashioned BLT, Cheeseburger, and Wedge Salad.
All veterans and active-duty military personnel could grab a FREE Chili Dog, Small Fries, and a Small Pepsi on November 11 from Wienerschnitzel. You just needed to present your military ID or wear your uniform.
Active and retired military service members could save up to 20% off their stay, plus receive 500 Wyndham Rewards bonus points through December 6, 2019.
