Don’t believe all of the sold listings. I sell on eBay myself. Some of the time people buy and don’t pay.

  2. Nana

How to go about selling some of these that are in our possession, especially beanie babies?

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Hi there! You’ll need to create an account. I did find these details –
“To sign up for an eBay account, all you need is an email address. Once your account is set up, you can buy, sell, and enjoy all the benefits of being an eBay member.
You’ll be able to use My eBay to keep track of your buying and selling activity, send messages to other members, save your favorite searches and sellers, and watch up to 300 items you’re thinking about buying.”
      Hope this is helpful! 🥰

      • GeorgiaT

Do you have to by taxes on your sales?

        • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Hi there! It seems that you will need to report your sales, if over a certain amount.

  3. chenga57

Fun read! It’s so interesting to see how toys have evolved. I had a similar Polly pocket when I was a kid. I recently got one for my niece and it’s so different!

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

YES! I agree. I’ve thought the same thing about Polly Pocket! ❤️

  4. Amh

Trixie Mattel JUST did a YouTube video about having purchased o
    1959 Barbie!

  5. Pretygirlygirl

Dont get too excited. Princess Diana bear is worth dollars. Those outrageous prices on eBay are not real. I have 6 of them on pristine condition from my childhood collection. 🤣

    • Jamie

I was just wondering about this, too! I have one of these — and when I click on the eBay link, it shows a brand-new one for sale on eBay for $9.99. I was wondering if I was missing something??

    • garry_save

I agree. I am not a fan when Hip2Save shares these post because they are misleading and rarely have any truth to the content. I have been an antique/vintage dealer for over 40 years with online stores, brick/mortar storefront, appraiser of items etc. The quoted prices for these toys is way off. The prices quoted are unicorn appraisals. Hip2Save has participated in the past causing frenzies on EBay with Disney VHS movies, vintage Pyrex & Corning ware etc. All these people suddenly create accounts on EBay and list these various items expecting to hundreds or even thousands for these items when in reality you would never realize these quoted estimates. Anyone can create an online account on various selling platforms and list items asking for the moon but what dictates the market on any of these items is what they ACTUALLY sell for! Don’t get excited and think your sitting on big cash because the chances are slim to none. It is like going to Hollywood and thinking you are going to an instant star…lol. Watch what happens on EBay now after this misleading post (again not what is listed and asking price but click the box SOLD and see if anything sold and at what price. Please stop posting these type of posts Hip2Save, they are misleading.

      • merrimom

I have a bunch of antiques (and toys) from my grandma. How do I go about selling them (not necessarily on ebay)?

  6. Jen

I’ve been collecting vintage pyrex for over a decade now and I still dream of finding the Lucky In Love casserole out in the wild. So stinkin’ cute 🥰

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

How neat! Hope you might find it soon, Jen! 🤞👀

  7. Lauren

Does anyone know how to go about finding out if the Ty’s that I have are actually worth anything? I have many of the ones listed in the article.

    • Jessica (Hip Sidekick)

Hey Lauren! You might try doing a search for “TY Beanie Baby Appraisals near me” to see if that pops up any results that might work for you – as some included local dealers/appraisers in my area! Hoping this might be helpful! 🤞❤️

  8. Breezy Brie

The Diana bear listing “ended” and was relisted. You can see it never sold and the “seller” has 0 ratings….

  9. Erika Maxwell

There is a FP barn for sale on marketplace for $20 and I saw the camper at a flea market also for $20. Camper had all of its parts. Should have snagged it.
