Gary finally got his DNA results.
You may have already seen from earlier this month that my Hip sidekick, Angela, splurged on a doggie DNA kit to find out who Gary really is. After a two-week wait, here are the results she received…
It took just two weeks to get Gary’s results emailed and it’s nice to finally have a greater understanding of Gary. Although, we’re pretty sure the results didn’t phase Gary much since he’s too busy trying to get a job being our newest Hip deal tester. Watch out, Cam and Stetson! 😂

I took my daughter downtown for a girl’s day to see some ice sculptures.
While I’m really not someone who digs cold weather, going to see our city’s annual ice sculptures is something we look forward to every year! This year, it was just me and my girl and we enjoyed every chilly second of our day. We especially loved the bald eagle seat and 30-foot slide – all out of all ice! 😍
Plus, our city has some pretty rad wall murals so we soaked up every bit of art we could, sipped on hot cocoa, and stopped at our favorite soap shop to bring home some soap-making kits.
Chelsey DIY’d an Encanto cake for her daughter’s fourth birthday.
My Hip sidekick, Chelsey, seriously outdid herself when her daughter requested an Encanto cake for her 4th birthday! 😍 Here’s the doll she used for the cake. Her daughter’s excitement and joy after seeing it was worth all the hard work. Happy birthday, sweet girl!
Not only did she DIY an incredible cake, but she also gave her daughter’s Melissa and Doug dollhouse a huge renovation, and now it looks even better than our actual houses. 😍 She went to town with mod podge, paint, and ordered some new furniture from one of her favorite shops. We seriously couldn’t love the outcome more! 🤩
Alli and her husband really enjoyed their own kind of artwork on date night.
WOW! Speaking of artwork, Ali and her husband went all out on their date night with this incredible dessert. If you’re ever in Davenport, Iowa, and hit up Steel Plow, it’s worth every calorie according to Alli and her hubby.

Jenna and her family discovered Home Goods… say what?!
After seeing Spider-Man in theaters for the second time, Jenna and her family ventured to Home Goods for the very first time! 🤯By no surprise, they’re all completely obsessed and already can’t wait to go back. 🙌🏻
Jen gave her garage doors a custom look in just minutes!
Jen’s kitchen may not be complete, but it hasn’t stopped her from giving other areas of her home an upgrade. After seeing our recent deal post about these magnetic garage door accents, she nailed her garage door makeover in just minutes and for under $20! By scooping up this magnetic pack for her garage door, she transformed her single, plain door into two custom-looking doors. Wow! Amazing job, Jen! 🤯
Lina is finally getting her dream flooring installed.
Our DIY and recipe queen, Lina, is getting a whole new look in her home! Out with the tile and in with some gorgeous wood flooring! While it’s been a huge process for her and her family to get to this point, we’re already sure it’s going to look amazing.

Melinda is already crushing her New Year’s goals.
Melinda is stoked about joining our annual #Hip2Walk series over on Instagram. In fact, it was too cold in her garage, so she and her hubby somehow managed to get their already assembled treadmill upstairs into their bedroom. Now that is some serious commitment (despite needing to touch up the paint of a few walls). 😂 Nice work, Melinda!

Tons of my Hip sidekicks scored the Always Pan dupe at ALDI.
We sure do love ALDI for their super low prices and this past week, many of my Hip sidekicks were lucky enough to score this awesome Always Pan dupe (which is coincidentally called the Awesome Pan). Collin even snagged one to compare the two over on Instagram to see if they perform the same.
