Just a heads up – I’ve received emails from a handful of readers regarding the Walgreens Hallmark Tissue and wrapping paper deals. It appears the Register Rewards are no longer printing.  Well, it was fun while it lasted, right?! 🙂 Anyway, the Walgreens deals for next week will be posted shortly.

I was in the parking lot and realized I didn’t get my $5 RR or $5 JC! I took my receipt back and they called a manager and she “pushed” it through and gave them to me. I got 2 rolls of wrapping paper and 4 tissue papers for my 6 items, then other stuff and was at $26 pre tax.

I am going back tonight for 2 more packs of their brand PullUps that are BOGO thru tonight…I will use my $10 RR/JC which should totally cover the purchase.

I went to purchase today and the fabulous manager pushed it through for me. It was so nice to have a manager who was so helpful and friendly, yay!

no more tissue at anyone of the 4 wags by me….but I tried to do 6 wrapping papers…no RR printed…the Manager said there was a glich in the system and the RRs were only suppose print on the cards….not tissue or paper! So glad I stocked up yesterday!!

Why doesn’t Walgreens have any social media links on their homepage? No Facebook, no Twitter. Are they afraid of what their customers would say about them?

    • Steph

Walgreens has a Facebook page–just search it.

      • NolaGirl

Yes, I know, but there’s no Facebook icon or direct link from their Web site.

Bummer I was going to do a run tonight. Too bad to miss it, but thanks for saving me the trip! 🙂

Thanks! My husband and I were both able to do the tissue paper – funny cause there were two other people who were obviously doing it too! Also I was able to do the Hallmark Roll Wrap – the manager was so nice, he told me that it was not for that paper but he pushed it through anyway – only got .50 off – but two rolls of paper for $1.50 was still a nice deal and I got a $2 RR so free!

That’s funny, I did the card deal twice this week and it worked great. Today I tried it again and it didn’t work. I think they realized people were using it on the .99 cards. It was fun while it lasted! That’s funny about the facebook/twitter links on their website, it would be a huge mistake for Walgreens!

I tried it yesterday, the coupon wouldn’t work for me either, but a very nice manager pushed it through for me. Love that store!!

Tonight I bought $27 worth of merchandise but didn’t get any jingle cash. Has anyone else had this problem today. It might be the store, I’m not sure.

I bought $78 worth, and only got $5 RR (Super Jingle Cash) because the manager said after coupons, my total was only just over $25. I didn’t see in the ad that the reward was based on the total after coupons.

My OOP was only $1.46 after coupons:

My order was over $25, but after the manufacturer coupons and wag coupons, the order was $1.74. When I asked the assistant mgr why I didn’t get a $5 jingle cash, he said the computer is set up for only actual $$$ not using coupons now. It was ok, as I purchased:

    2 Bayer USB @ $9.99 – FREEBIES
    12 Snickers Candies – 3 for $1 and I had the 2 Mars $2 coupons – FREEBIES
    Hallmark tissue paper…
    Bargains anyway…

I had luck with the tissue yesterday getting the $5 for next week. Also bought a total of $25.XX then a dollar off coupon brought my total down under but I also got the other $5 for next week as well.
Went in tonight and bought the same 6 tissue papers and didn’t get the RR. The cashier was nice enough to scrounge up an old sales ad for the coupon but said the deal was for 6 cards. The cashier yesterday was super nice and said her mom used the sales and was coming in to get some of the good deals. I forgot a coupon that was in that small coupon booklet and she found the book, gave it to me and asked the manager to refund me the $2 that I would have gotten with the coupon. Super nice girl. Manager was nice too.

I love a lot of the Walgreens deals but with I had 2 local ones instead of just the 1 in our city. Our county has just over 100,000 people and only 1 so we could surely use another! There is a younger guy that works at our store who is always soooo picky with my coupons. When they beep he reads them over and over and even if I try and help him read the fine print he still calls the manager and makes them explain it, all while holding up the line. Seems like he is always working when I go in there. Love when a couple of the ladies are working and are so great with my coupons and RR’s.

I went after work so I didn’t get this message before going there and not getting it 🙁 All this is become wonderful ammo for me to try and convince my husband I need a smart phone 😉

did not work for me either yesterday. now i have stuff i don’t need. i didn’t get $5 for “spending” more than $25 either. and the cashier said it was because i used coupons and my total was only $8. any help with that??

  17. Kathy

If I am correct, the Walgreen’s ad says that you get $5 in Jingle Cash for buying 6 Hallmark Cards. No where does it state that it can be used on tissue or wrapping paper. I don’t know why people get so upset when they don’t buy what the ad says and they expect Jingle Cash? Also, don’t take it out on the cashiers, they only inforce what the ad states. They can’t give you what the ad doesn’t advertise. Furthermore, I am all for good deals and freebies, but, I can only get what is advertised. Now, if I purchase what I am supposed to and don’t get the Jingle Cash, yes, I will contact a manager and not get upset with the cashier. It isn’t their fault that the catalina machine doesn’t print it, they can’t reach in there and type it up for you. So, please be kind to your cashiers, and they will be nice to you. Merry Christmas!!!!

I agree! I have been at the register when customers have been so rude to the cashiers, when they have no control over the Jingle Cash. It’s not their fault the customers can’t read the ad!!

Loved this deal. 3 orders back to back of the Hallmark tissue paper yesterday morning (12-11) & received the $5 rewards cash on each order. My sister did the same thing. Thanks for posting! Happy Holidays.

I also bought $28 worth of stuff, used (5) $5 Jingle Cash. Paid $3. Did not get the $5 JC for buying more than $25. Apparently they may have changed it so that you cannot get JC for “before Q” price.

I went on Friday (12-10) and go the $5 RR from purchasing 2 rolls of wrapping paper and 4 packages of tissue. On the second transaction I got a Maybelline lipstick, Maybelline lipgloss, 2 carmes lip shines and 6 snickers nutcrackers. After using my RR and coupons I paid $1.05 🙂 Walgreens had all $9.99 toys on sale for $5.99 for 3 days so i decided to go back and do go back Saturday to buy more tissue paper and do the deal again to snag a toy for a childrens hospital toy drive and sure enough it didnt print. The assistant manager pushed it through without an issue. I expressed my thanks and how much I appreciated him being helpful when often times cashiers choose not to be, his response was “Well I’m lazy, and I know if I dont do it now, I’ll have to make a call to someone who WILL make me do it and that would be a bigger hassle.” haha, whatever works buddy! 🙂
