Hip2Help Video Update (Griffin, Georgia)
Wow! The last few days have been a whirlwind filled lots of sweat, smiles, laughter and tears and very little sleep. We left Griffin, GA yesterday after a fun-filled day at a local park and a morning shopping trip with our 2 sponsored families, the Wrights and the Duffeys. I am so thankful to Hip2Save readers Brandy and Carrie for arranging the entire event, coordinating volunteers, soliciting donations, and welcoming me and the entire Hip2Save team to their wonderful town! I am also so grateful to all of you for sending in donations; without you, none of this would have been possible.

Wow. It’s so amazing to see that there are still people in this country who can care for their neighbors. If we all had a little bit more kindness in our hearts the world would be such a better place. Thank you for organizing this and sharing the video. I’m so sad I can’t watch this as the video part of the screen is all black. I clicked on the thing which takes me to youtube and same thing just a black screen. Anyone else having this problem? Know of anyway to fix it? Never had this problem before as I’ve always been able to see Collin’s videos. Thanks in advance for anyone who can help.

When some things in this world do not go right, when you have had a bad day, or find out some terrible news, it’s things like this that remind us of our most prevalent need which is basic humanity. In a world which seems to daily become a little more abrasive, just a little more etched away from the values it was founded on, stumbling across this tonight reconfirms in me that we can still do good in a world that often focuses on everything bad.
People need to know that people care, and that is the bottom line. When the 2nd worst tornado ripped
through my own hometown on April 27th, 2011, there were tons of lives that were changed forever. Even mine. A thought, at first, put into action by one..that eventually passes onto another and another, to help make an eventual, monumental difference in the end. Thank you so much Collin, her readers and each and everyone else who has been a part in helping us & others through these disasters. It is the only way we will make a positive difference in our lives, our children’s and those around us. God Bless you all. I know I speak for all of those who have been affected in the Southeast. *I live 3 miles from where the F-5 tore through my town of Tuscaloos on April 27th. We have a long way to go. But that path continues to be needed to be paved with compassion and hope. Thanks again so much!

Watched this video again- brings tears to my eyes each time! Thanks for all you are doing, these people had smiles on their faces and I am sure it is nice for them to just ‘relax’ and enjoy their entertainment while taking their minds off the stress of the entire situation.
