Really, bracelet for 70 cents or $70.00?

    • Em

      They’re only like $35 retail

    • Leigh

      $0.70. Seventy American cents 🙂

    • BT

The bracelet is on sale for $10.00 so with her credit of $10, all she had to pay was probably just the tax.

Last time there was a Coach post, there were lots of complaints. I ordered with the thought, oh how silly. One item was smaller than anticipated, no biggie, I didn’t even take it out of the packaging. So I went to the Coach Factory store 40 miles away to return. Returning was the problem, I used my husband’s CC online and they wouldn’t do anything without him physically being in the store despite having the CC and receipt in hand. They told me they felt it was fraudulent… it was a return/exchange not a purchase. It was so humiliating, I felt like a thief. I called Coach, this is their policy. So, just be aware of their return policy. Otherwise, I am very happy with the other bags I received.

    • Chelsea

You shouldn’t have been treated that way. That is so lame!!!!

      • Chelsea

You know, now that I think about it–I once had to call in an order because the website wasn’t taking my dh’s cc for some reason and I remember the phone cs rep asking me probably a good 3-4 times if the cc holder was present and if they were aware that their card was being used. Dh was at work but I just kept telling her yes, yes, yes, and yes–it was just a $40 wristlet anyway, not even one of the big $100+ bags or anything and she went ahead and placed the order for me, but I could tell she seemed slightly unsure.

    • Amy

Krista… I know how you feel in a different but similar way. Their return policy (or at least what it was a few years ago) was unlimited time for returns on new items (not sure about receipt status since I had a gift receipt). While there is a factory store close to my house, there is an outlet mall I drove by often while traveling on business and I shopped there regularly. I had received a super ugly wristlets as a gift. It had the gift receipt inside but I felt guilty returning it at first. One day, after having it about a year or so, I comment about it to the store manager who told me as the policy was and to bring it back. On my next trip, I did just that. He wasn’t there but the asst. manager did the return, giving me a look of total disgust. It was still new, unused with tags and in the box I got it in. While I was looking around for something else, I could see her showing it to other associates and the associate who was always “my friend” when I was buying commented to another associates that hopefully no one else came back with a return for eighteen months prior. While I have bought other Coach items since then, it took me a good three yrs and never from that location.

It was rude of them, but your not the cardholder. If you go to any store and they notice that your a female and the cardholder is a male you cannot use that card AT ALL. Being married doesn’t mean that you can use your husband’s card unless your name is on the card as well.

      • Casey

You’re incorrect. I use my husband’s CC with no issues. I always have my ID out ready for them if they need it. I also sign MY name every time.

        • Em

You shouldn’t be able to, it’s illegal. If I do what you’re doing and I have the same last name as you and pull out my DL I could use it, without anyone ever knowing. See why it’s illegal?

  7. Diana

Y couldn’t u just exchange, and if there was a difference get store credit? I’ve done that a few times. We also rcvd flyers for addtl 25% off entire purchase. My mom bought 2 bags and 2 wallets and she was able to get her receipt adjusted 👍 with the difference she got another bag! 😀

    • Krista

I found something for a few dollars more and could have paid the difference in cash but once they saw the return was in my husband’s name, it turned weird. Perhaps they had bizarre issues before? No idea. It definitely would have been better to return for store credit without a receipt.

      • Anny

That is very strange! most of the time as long as the return is going back on the original card there shouldn’t be a problem. I would have been quite irritated after driving that far but I guess you can see it as them trying to protect their consumers?

      • Tres

I have done this also, it was a gift from my brother(we share the same last name) and I wanted to exchange it for same item but in a different color. I had the packing receipt in hand and drove 2 1/2 hours to my nearest store. The lady at the Coach Store told me it was” fraudulent that my brother was not there with me to say he had bought it and the purse was not bought at her store” so she would not let me exchange it! I was able to go to another store 15 miles away and exchange it but no gift card/mechandise credit could be offered. I just wanted another color in the same design which they had and I got.

Did anyone else notice this bracelet is from the men’s collection? Not a huge deal, but if you have a smaller wrist to being with you will have to watch out for size.

I am a “member” and when I signed up months ago I just signed up to join on the Coach Factory website.. I get emails pretty often about sales — they always seem to be doing a 50% at least. I do find the prices inflated, soooo IMO it seems wow great deal. And, again IMO the quality is NOT the same as what you get in the Coach stores (the actual Coach store you see in malls, not an outlet). Now sure in some outlets/factory stores you might be able to snag a bag that was from “the coach” store but in most cases the things sold for the factory stores and the factory website are made just for them. They lack the bells and whistles, details etc. And, they IMO are not the same quality/leather/detail as the store. Not saying they are bad — just saying IMO could be misled that thinking you just snagged a bag for $100 that they said was “originally” say $400. (I have noticed that the price of the same bag varies often on the site — a bag I bought might be $180 this month, $230 the next, and on…

I ordered a plain black leather bag from them, I didn’t want it screaming coach with a bunch of logos etc, and its fine IMO. The other bag was a black fabric bag great for the weekends with the coach logo but more low key. I did order another bag that looked cheap and returned it. I really think that Coach should be more open about the factory stores … but IMO they want you to think you are getting a great deal.

They use very similar names for the bag names which makes it confusing. Sometimes if on the site I also go to THE Coach website, and if you look at the bags closely you can see how the designs are different, the buckles, the hardware.

With that said, I have no hesitation getting a wallet from the factory (website or actual factory store) if I like the design since the wallet gets junked by being tossed around in my bag etc. And, maybe another bag if I love it, but now I know that they are likely not the same bag as whats sold in the mall stores. And, they always seem to have it on sale, so how many really pay the original retail price they claim.

    Just my opinion.

    • Autumn

Their quality for factory stores or NOT are backed by a lifetime warranty so I think that is a great deal alone. (Of course, with proper care and no misuse)

    • Diana

You wrote entirely too much. It’s from the coach factory. So you’re still getting a good deal and an authentic handbag. You act like they’re selling u knockoffs from the swap meet.

      • Betsy

Hey I just said it was my opinion. Didn’t know there was a max # of words per post. Just saying to people if you think you are scooping a bag for a great deal and you think its from the actual Coach store you are llkely mistaken. Many people might get a bag online and yes it is REAL Coach, but its likely made for the factory. I was surprised. The leather was nice but in no way that beautiful soft leather at the coach store in the mall (and my comment is for the bag I got)l. And, I think they don’t tell you this online and the cust reps on the phone are quite mum about it. And, they use such similar names for the bags, I find it misleading.

      • Mia

You wrote entirely too little. Ha.
