I don’t use these free codes anymore because it shows up on my bank account that the money was taken out. Anyone else see this?
I have seen a pre-auth charge of $1.00 but it goes away after a few days.
They just hold the money on your card .They have to make sure u have money on card just in case you don’t return movie.Then when u return the movie the charge does not process ( unless u return late). U can call the 1800# HTH😃

Be aware. Even though you can enter code today only and have through tomorrow to pick up, you still have to return by 9 pm tomorrow. I was under the impression that from the day you picked up the movie you got the rental until 9 pm the following day, but that is incorrect. I was charged an additional day fee when I did this last week. I have since gone back and read the fine print. Just a heads up so you don’t end up with extra day fees on top of the free rental.
if you rent today you have until 9pm to pick up, they specifically tell you this on your confirmation email. Otherwise you’ll get charged for an extra day
Same thing happened to me last week Shannon. We ended up being charged also when we reserved on one day but didn’t pickup until the next. We were charged and extra night rental which ended up being a one day rental. So don’t reserve unless you can pickup on the same day.
I stopped using Redbox last week because all the promo codes stopped working even the ones Redbox Emailed me. I contacted them about it they gave me a free credit but didn’t bother to fix the invalid promo code issue Redbox also wouldn’t let me remove my credit card info so I told them to close my account. oh well it was nice while it lasted
Both worked. I was surprised to find two codes in my Redbox App Messages.
East coast time if you rent it between 12AM and 1AM, then you get to keep it longer 🙂 It counts it as me renting it on the 24th and then it’s due back the 25th. Those codes are good until 1AM EST. Depending when you rent it and what time depends on the due date. Both codes worked for me online though! THANKS!
