  2. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

    Ugh! I just bought mousse!!!

  3. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

so it doesnt deduct $8? it automatically adjusts??? just makin sure I don’t need any filler…you know, like milk and needs..lol! thanks so much!!

  4. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

can i just buy one mousse? they didn’t deduct double last time 🙁

  5. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

WAAY WRONG PLACE BUT – I have to share!

Just got back from Best Buy. Target was out of Monsters INC and no Target within 100 miles had it. SO i had an idea. I took my handy dandy Target ad, my $10 Target Q and my 2 MFR Q for Monster’s INC and UP.

BEST BUY HONORED TARGET’S COUPON! SO Best Buy matched Target’s Up price of 19.99 AND gave me the monter’s for the advertised 18.99 AND took the Target coupon AND the two MFR Q!

Here’s to asking nicely for what you want and getting it!

(On a horrible note – we also found out today we need a new furnace! Thank god for saving money in other ways.)

  6. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

In another post you talked about the November Healthy Savings Booklet, where can I find that at? I’m new to the whole Walgreens couponing. Heck, the entire store…

  7. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

My November Savings Book was right up front to the sides of the Walgreens ads that you can pick up when you walk in the store.

  8. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Couponing4myTacoma where did you do this and how much did you pay for each movie final price?

  9. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Sweet! I too will be going first thing in the morning! I LOVE it! 🙂

  10. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Im not understanding why my Wags is no longer going to carry the in-store coupon books, Doesnt make any since!!!!

  11. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I meant to post this a coupla days ago and forgot. My Wags had the Nexus shampoos and conditioners clearanced for $7.99ea, so $3.99 with their coupon. Not a great deal, but if you only use this kind, it’s a good deal.

  12. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

So if i bought 4 mousse, it would automatically adjust and wont need a filler???

  13. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Forgot to add this to the above ^^^

For the Almay mascara we needed a filler so it wouldnt be the same for the Nexxus Mousse?

  14. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Yeah, could I buy 4 mousse for free?

  15. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

not a filler for coupon beeps but because an additional dollar wouldnt have been taken off. Like I messed up the tissues a little today and did not have enough so i got charged 77 cents because the register would not allow it to take off the 3rd dollar because I had no other items for the overage to go to.

  16. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Has anyone here done this deal yet,my walgreens does not always let it do two.

  17. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

where is this deal posted that there is a sale? I cant find it in the ad?

  18. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

In theory you could do 4 mousse for free, but I think you would have to do 2 transactions (it says limit one coupon per customer per offer). Colin will verify though!

  19. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

No it is not the same as the almay. No filler needed buy two Nexxus Mousse Plus 2oz.and $5 will come off. HTH!

  20. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I just did this at my store. Bought 3 at 2.50 a piece. She scanned the book and it beeped and she was all, “It says NOT for the trial size.” And I told her that those weren’t the trial size…they were the SMALLER size. I told her that she scanned the wrong coupon when she swung the book by the register and that she should type it in. After arguing for about a minute she FINALLY typed it in. WHAT DO YOU KNOW!? It worked. And she was mad about it. 🙂

It took off $7.50 total. No need for fillers.

  21. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I’m not talking about the regular monthly coupon booklet, but the Healthy Savings Booklet. Where can I find that one at?

  22. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Leesa- Mine was back by the pharmacy

  23. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

    Anon 9:09- Thank you!!!

  24. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I got both little canisters of Nexxus mousse but it was a hassle. The cashier kept telling me it would not work since it says “excludes trial size” and kept insisting this was a trial size. She said if it’s the smallest on the shelf, it is a trial regardless if it says it on the can or not. I asked if we could ask the Manager decide, which I am happy he said “If it allows it, then let her have it.” And the first total showed $4.87 or such and I disputed the price being wrong, But the glade’s didn’t want to ring up right and so after a couple minutes, I think the Manager adjusted the prices and so with an oreo brownie as a filler or whatever, I paid $1.50.

  25. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Great deal! I’m glad I haven’t made my trip to Walgreens this week!

  26. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I do wish someone would explain the filler item need and reason for amounts. Anon 8:56, you’re the first to make a little sense of all of the filler item purpose. And if your post is what all of it is about, is it possible to pay the majority of taxes with RR or is that a no? I have noticed sometimes when I throw in a caramel as a filler for .33 cents that it’s not enough and it usually takes 4 caramels (last month same thing with the pencils) as fillers to get the amount over a dollar mark to let all my scenerios work.

  27. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

“buy 8 which equals $12.00 and then it will deduct the coupon for 3 which is $12.00!”

    Wouldn’t 8 be $20?

  28. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Heads up about the coupon auto adjusting. At my Walgreens it will not adjust, It simply will not take enough off for 2 it will only take off enough for 1. Oops sorry about my calculations previously LOL I was a bit distracted and was not paying close attention to what I was writing. I removed that post and have reposted it now. The deal is this: In order to get it to come out evenly you need to buy 8 which equals $20.00 and then it will deduct the coupon for 5 of the 8 items which is $20.00! Therefore all you pay is tax. So that is how it should work. I will go try it tonight.

  29. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

This is for the Anonymous asking about fillers. You can not have more coupons than items and this includes Register Rewards. So if I have 5 items that I intend to buy ( or get for free heee heee)and I have a coupon for each plus I want to use two RR, than I will need two addition fillers to avoid the ‘beep’. I also do not believe that you can use the RR to pay for the tax, it always beeps when I get to that point.
Just an idea for fillers for anyone wanting some ideas- I use the store brand pudding. I think it is 3 for a dollar (but you do have to buy three or it is a little more expensive).

  30. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Comments are helpful but they can get confusing, too LOL!

I will probably try the Nexxus deal tomorrow and let y’all know the results.

You cannot use RRs to pay for tax and unfortunately at my Walgreens they cannot tell me the pre-tax total so it can be trial and error.

I did the Kleenex deal this morning. The cashier limited me to the 3 per transaction — she was nice about it, but is an older lady and “rule follower” which is fine. Good thing the Klennex MQ was for .50 off 3!!

Anyway… I bought a total of 12 boxes ( I usually go to more than 1 store when I buy a lot, but I didn’t have time and their shelves were full!) and for each transaction, I purchased 2 of the Christmas bags that were 8/$1 with in ad coupon. 4 transactions at .28 each so $1.12 total for 12 boxes of Kleenex and 8 gift bags!

I am teaching my first couponing workshop tomorrow night — great example to show!

  31. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Just did this deal – thanks! Great travel size mousse for free, can’t beat that.

I love my Walgreens!! There is a cashier there who does all the deals herself (she hadn’t heard of this one though!) so she is a great help and does everything so it will work.

She saw me come in and found me by the Glade and told me it wasn’t working and neither was the kleenex. I didn’t have the new healthy savings book anyway. She was going to go to one of our other stores tomorrow and get some! So I will try those again tomorrow.

I did 4 Glade sprays. I had a buy one get one and the in ad coupon so I got 4 for $2.07 which was fine for me. Got 1 free juice too. I didn’t try a peelie – I had a $1.00 off from the Rice Krispies that had coupons in it. I used a $2.00 RR so paid $.72 for 4 Glade, 2 Nexus Mousse and a Cranberry Juice.

  32. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Here is a deal scenario for you all. Buy 6 bottles of mousse, 1 bottle of nexxus product for 10 dollars and a extra product. Use the 5 off of 25. Then hand the nexxus q’s. My total for a leave in conditioner of nexxus, 6 bottles of mousse and a water was 3.58 oop.

  33. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I just tried to do this deal and it is considered the trial size so the coupon does not apply. Bummer!

  34. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

The coupon booklets are hit and miss with different Walgreens. I have only ever been able to find the coloring book at one of my 6 Walgreens. (Located in the toy section) I just found the new Healthy Savings November booklet at one last night ( a 24 hr store) but when I asked about it at another today they have no idea about it. All of my coupon booklets that particularly relate to health products are always by the pharmacy. Please be aware that there is another healthy savings booklet that coma out a while back and is good until the end of December. That is NOT the booklet with the kleenex coupon in it. What you are looking for is long like the regular November booklet but it has a different picture and it says healthy savings on it. I have gotten 9 boxes of free Kleenex. I love it!

    Also to Anon 9:45
No you can not use a register reward to pay for taxes. You need to have enough cost before taxes to do a transaction and use a register reward. There are 2 reasons that you might need a filler. 1st is that you have too many coupons and not enough products. And by this I mean Manufacturers coupons. Register rewards are manufacturers coupons so if you have a coupon for everything in your cart and still want to use another 1, 2, 3, or how many ever register rewards to bring the cost of those items down, you need to add on a filler so there is an item to pair up with each additional coupon (register reward). The 2nd reason being that the amount of your coupons exceeds the value of what you are purchasing, For example you are buying an item for $1.99 and you want to use a $2 RR. You can’t without a filler because your pre tax total is a penny short! Hope that helps those of you who are confused and/or just learning the ropes.

  35. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I just got back an hour ago from Wags. No Healthy Savings book at my store, but I still got a great deal on the Kleenex, Keebler cookies and FREE Cranberry juice. Thanks Collin!

  36. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

The tax can be a pain – last week I wanted to use a $10.00 RR to make my OOP as low as possible but I had a BIG order and we have 6% tax so it wouldn’t take my $10.00 I just kept adding an M&M (which my awesome cashier kept putting a coupon code in for!). I would have her add an M&M then try the RR, beep, add an M&M, RR, beep add an M&M. Eventually it worked and I paid oop for the tax.

  37. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Bought for and w/Q deducted 10.00! No hassle! Free is FUN!

  38. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

ananon 9:45,(this is the previous poster from 8:45) the problem is RR will not take off taxes so you either need a filler for…1. to make the price before tax over the amnount of RR you have 2. to make the item coupon ratio the same or 3. for the scenario I said before about the tissues, if you have overage you must have extra items for it to go to.

  39. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Leesa the November Healthy Savings book is by the pharmacy I had to go to three different Walgreens to find it. I went to my normal one, not there, the one near my place of worship not there either finally I found it at one on the way to my brother’s house, if you check the notes of the other post she mentions it in Bargain Brianna had a link to a pic of it so you know what you are looking for. It is similar to the November Coupon book only green and has a few different ones and all expire this month.

I have been to WAGS twice this week and still going back so I will add this one to the list!

  40. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I just did this deal. At the stores here some of the full size products are on clearance. I got a shampoo for $8 and 4 of the mousse and it took of $14 for all 5 items…so about $4 OOP. This prevents any problems or discussion about whether the mousse are travel size or just smaller size. * I got the free theraflu with this so a $3 RR made everything only $1.50!

  41. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

What a great deal! I met the challenge and walked away with 16 free mousses, with no beeping or other issues. Just had to pay the high 10% sales tax, but still such a sweet deal. Thanks Hip for the super tip!

  42. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks Collin! I picked up 4 this morning, no beeps at all! Only issue was that my cashier thought maybe something had rung up incorrectly!

    Gotta love free mousse!!!

  43. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Only three left, so I got 3 and coupon automatically deduct $7.50.

  44. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Wait, am I understanding this correctly: You can buy MORE than the 2 products & use the 1 Q? Could I buy multiple Nexxus products (shampoo, conditioner, mousse, etc)? & it will deduct $4 for each item (or adjust down if it’s less than $4?). Oh yeah…I’m on my way to Walgreens today!

  45. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I went to my walgreens (mid-michigan), the cashier INSISTED this was a trial size and wouldnt do it. I was on my work break, so time crunch. So no luck for me on this one. However I LOVE this site! One of the best I’ve seen!!

  46. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

It worked for me with no problems! I purchased 4 of the mousse, the cashier ran the $4 coupon thru, and $10 was deducted. Thank you SO much for the heads up on this great deal!! While I was at Wags, I picked up the 33oz honey deal ($3.99) Makes my trip that much more SWEETER!! 🙂

  47. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Only 2 left I got them 2 and the coupon worked fine. Took $5 off.

  48. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I just went to Walgreens and got my free mousse! Woohoo!

  49. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

im gonna take all the mousee and kleenex and put it in a gift basket

  50. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

The sale is on the trial size (2 oz), 2/$5.00. The coupon specifically states “not on trial size”. I gave it a whirl and the register scanned and accepted the coupon with no problem. Both trial sizes, FREE! 🙂
