First, I don’t NEED to justify the “lemon” situation in my Follow Me Monday video (maybe the container of lemon wedges was actually for the WHOLE table? Ya think? …AND maybe I only needed 2 Lemon wedges to make the kind of lemonade I like… and maybe I gave the server a HUGE tip because she put up with us… and maybe I was a server for a few years, so I UNDERSTAND… ).

Anyway, the point of this post is to express how I feel. I am not one of those people that can bottle stuff up inside. That’s just not me. I put myself out there on these videos and it’s scary. I also work very hard every week getting these videos made for all of you. I felt the response this week (I actually had to delete some of the comments) was not too positive. I want to continue making videos, but if I feel like this every Monday, it’s definitely not going to work.

Just please try to remember that I have feelings…

Oh and when I talked to my hubby about the whole lemon ordeal he said, “What lemons? When did we have lemons?” Him saying that made me feel so much better… made me realize once again, that this whole lemon crisis is NOT a big deal!

…And one more thing—it is just a stinkin’ lemon!

Please, please, please do not let some silly people out there spoil all of your fun and ours. It is just NOT worth it. I think people need to not take themselves soo seriously. I look forward to Mondays and watching your videos. I have learned a TON and I don’t want you to give up. Hey, just like celebrities, you have to just let it roll off your back. When you put yourself out there, you open yourself up to people who are just WAY too serious. We love you, keep it up!!!! Free lemonade!!!!!!

  2. Anonymous

OMG!!! I watched your Follow Me Monday video earlier with my mom and we laughed and laughed! You are so cute and funny Collin! I didn’t even notice the whole lemon thing until I read this post. HOW RUDE PEOPLE! My mother orders water all of the time and a bowl of lemons and makes her on “lemonade.” I have never thought anything about it. I always ask for extra lemons for my tea. Boy, some people get riled up over nothing! I would hate to see what they would do if you did something DRASTIC LOL!! Anyway, I just wanted to say KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK! We love coming to your site about 100 times a day and checking up on all of the new deals you post! You have really changed my life when it comes to saving money, so thank you for that. And also, I love your Monday videos, I have learned alot from those as well and we usually get a good laugh! You keep on making your lemonade and pour 5 POUNDS of sugar in it too if that’s what you want!!! Believe me we are making up for those cost somewhere, if not they wouldn’t just leave that stuff sitting out on the table!

  3. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Just had to say how much I love your blog! I look forward to seeing what deals you will find everyday. You have definitely turned me into a couponer, my closet now looks like my own personal drug store! There are always going to be some negative people out there, but the vast majority love you and all that you do! Thanks so much!!

  4. Tina

Collin, I’ve only known about your blog for two weeks but I am already checking it several times a day. You have already helped me so much, and I love your videos. You are adorable! Thanks so much for all you do.

  5. Eran

Collin, you are such a blessing to me and to my family. I truly don’t know how I’d do this without your help! I check your site each day and look forward to your videos. There are things that we do to try and help others and there are some that will never appreciate that, maybe they aren’t willing to be helpful so they don’t see it. I’m not sure but I am sorry that people are rude to you, that is ridiculous! I have to say, you are fabulous!

  6. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Collin Thank You for all of your hard work we love you!!!

  7. E

Collin, I loved the video! you are so honest and down to earth. Please don’t change a thing! Keep the “lemons” coming!

  8. Maelynn

Please don’t stop your follow me monday’s. I always enjoy watching them and love your personality. I am sorry you had feedback from those prudish people who wouldn’t dare ask for water with lemon. I do all the time and I sometimes feel guilty, I shouldn’t but that is what society makes us feel. So when I saw you ordered water with lemon I felt so good like I am not the only one who does that. Most of the time I don’t want to fill up on soda and the water they give is sometimes nasty which is why you need lemon. forget those people but I am sure glad you stood up for yourself in this post. You obviously have more people you back your opinion than theirs!

  9. Michelle

Collin… I LOVE your videos! I feel like I have gotten to know you! Thank you for all you do, you have helped me soo much! Staying home with my often sick kids this winter, you have helped me feel connected to the world. Thank you thank you thank you!!

  10. Mareolle

I don’t understand what is the problem with the lemons. When my husband and I go out we usually have lemon water too. Sometimes we put crystal light in it also. Not everyone can afford to go out and its nice to have something to look forward to even if you have to be frugal. People that don’t have to be frugal don’t get it. Its our way of enjoying our lives and making things a little brighter when we have something special to look forward to. I think you are a very generous and kind person to share your thoughts. My husband and I look forward to your Monday videos.

Collin please remember for any negative thing mention you have a large group of people that have your back and appreciate you thank you.

    • neljo mullins

I agree with Mareolle!!! I am not good with words. But i have told lots of people about your blog.. I think you are great and work really hard which i am thankful for you. You have helped me save lots of money.

Thank You for all you do!!!!..

All I have to say is give the rude ones a camera and let them make a video EVERY week. There are some people who are so miserable they have to spread it around. Collin, you NEVER doubt that what you are doing is helping 1000s of others save money! What a gift so please keep sharing!

  12. Alexis

I’d like to see the haters have the guts to make a video and post it online! You rock, Collin! Thanks for all that you do. 🙂

  13. Kelly K

    Collin,
Please don’t let peoples comments ruin what you do! We love your Monday video’s! I look forward to them every week, and they have helped me greatly. I know its tough to ignore and yes we all have feelings here, but know that a great deal of people love what you do and we thank you.

Oh and a-lot of places here in PA automatically serve water with lemon wedges, so whats the big deal??? If you all ever seen what the tubes that feed that fountain soda look like, you would be ordering water with lemon to. YUK! (Trust me on this one – some nasty stuff goes on in those tubes)

  14. Amy

I loved your Follow Me Monday video this week! Actually, I love everything you do. Thanks for your hard work, and don’t change a thing!

    Sincerely,
A fellow water with lemon orderer 🙂

  15. Sarah

Please don’t stop doing your cute videos. I just found this webiste today and watched them all! I love them! You are very informative and helpful. I’m sorry that you are frusterated with the comments. Some people don’t have anything better to do. Keep up the good work!

  16. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Dear Collin….PLEASE continue to do what you are doing….you are awesome and I know I speak for many women in my community of who’s lives you have changed!! You have NO IDEA what a HUGE, POSITIVE impact you have had on the majority of us and THAT’S what matters. I look at it this way….when Jesus was on this earth, even HE couldn’t get everyone to like him and he was perfect. How can we as humans expect that everyone we come in contact with will like us? Not everyone will like what we say or do but that’s their problem, not ours. Keep up the good work, you are an inspiration to us all!! 🙂

  17. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I have been thinking about those negative comments all day. Some people are ready to be critical about anything other people do. Sadly when people are in the public eye other people feel liberty to say what they want especially when they can hide behind their computer. Chin up Collin! Check out all the people who love what you do.You rock!

  18. Lolo

Collin after reading your comments about how upset you were at peoples comments, I had to go watch the video. (I hadn’t watched it prior). I have no idea what the issue is. I always order lots of lemon and water when I go out. I do not make lemonade per se, but I do drink a lot of water with a lot of lemon in it and I do it that way at home too so I do not see the problem here. Often times if you ask for water with lemon they will bring you just a piece of lemon with your water and then never bring any more when they refill your water so I always ask for extra lemons! So you just keep doing it and do not feel bad about it one bit as there is no difference between your flavoring and sweetening your water the way you like it and the way I flavor my water. ( I would not have ordered a soda or anything anyway, so why shouldn’t I drink my water the way I like it? I do the same at home.) If people get uppiy with you, go ahead and vent, but try not to take it to heart. There are some very uptight people in this world and the only enjoyment they have in life is by ridiculing and making others feel bad. Do not give them the satisfaction as 99.99% of your readers think you are the bomb and we love all your quirks. 🙂

  19. Jade

    LOL!!!!
“What lemons?” ROFL…. your hubby is hilarious! (& handsome too!)
I LOVE your videos Colin! My bf & I watch it together every Monday. You are so beautiful, witty, & hilarious!!! You’re the whole package & your hubby is a very lucky man. I feel so blessed to have stumbled onto your website. You have saved our family sooo much money and bring a smile & laughter to my face every time I watch your clips. Please please PLEEEEEEASE don’t stop making your videos. Don’t let the haters discourage you.

To the haters: LAY OFF THE HATERADE B*TCHES! You don’t want to mess with our girl Colin! You’re so pathetic… imagine how pitiful your life must be to log onto someones website & HIDE behind a computer screen. Oh wow you can type mean things… how retarded are you? I’m sure you would be too scared to show your real face & say this to any of us in person. LOSER!

Colin… you make this world a better place… & our pockets a little fuller =) You’re simply the best! *hugs*

    • Anna

“LAY OFF THE HATERADE B*TCHES!”…..”YouÂ’re so pathetic”….”Oh wow you can type mean things”…”LOSER!”……

FYI, you don’t any nicer than some of the others have been. I didn’t agree with the lemonade thing at first, but now I’m on the fence from reading some of the reasonings. We ARE all entitled to an opinion (you certainly have one) but we should all express it nicely (like you HAVEN’T done). I did not comment on the last blog, so I am not one of those who disagreed with the lemonade thing trying to fight you on this. I have just been reading the differing comments trying to form my opinion on this issue. However, your argument has fallen flat. State your opinion without throwing out all the hateful words. You’ll gain more respect that way. I love Collin just as much as everyone else on this site. And I am grateful for all her hard work. But we need to encourage her well. She shouldn’t have to see all the pathetic arguing.

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I agree. The retarded comment is way lower than complaining that making lemonade is cheap…

        • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

BUT that is not to say that I don’t agree with the basic sentiment of complaining about Collin. She provides a great service to many. For FREE!!! She is cute and funny too!!

          • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Uggh, I really screwed that up!! I do agree with the basic sentiment of Anna’s post. I don’t agree with some of Anna’s “terms.” I totally support Collin and it is sad that she is upset. Hopefully she sees all this support and does not feel bad any longer!!

          • Kerry

FYI…those were Jade’s terms, not Anna’s. And I agree with you and Anna. If we are going to “scold” those for leaving mean comments, we shouldn’t respond with nasty ones ourselves.

  20. Stacey Bee

Collin, I am so sorry people said mean things! I am so sad for you! I told my husband and he thinks it’s terrible too. You are the cutest, sweetest, smartest, hippest chick on the net! I adore you! I think what you do is absolutely fantastic! I, and so many others appriciate you!Look at how many fans you have! At first when I read that people had been mean to you, I just couldn’t believe it! Then I remembered that there are a few meanies out there. Most people are nice. I’m sorry some of the meannies ended up on your site. They don’t deserve to be able to enjoy you, your site, or your videos! Please don’t stop making your videos! We all love your Videos! Please keep your chin up! Remember…you are cool and hip! Those who are not cool do not belong here! Love and Thanks! Take it easy! You Rock Girl!

  21. Christine

I love what you do, I love whay you say, I love who you are … keep up the wonderful work and continue to make this a wonderful wolrd!

  22. Stephanie

Not again is all I could think!!!! You put yourself out there each & everyday to HELP us. I can’t even imagine why people would go out of there way to say something negative. Seriously, they have more problems than anyone can count. IF they feel the need to make fun of or be negative, it is a reflection of that person not you. Remember bullies from the playground? Darling, bullies have not changed, they have just found a bigger playground. People who put others down or make fun of others are INSECURE, PATHETIC CREATURES. They get their self-esteem from belittling others. Real cool, huh! Is there anyway you can block these people from your site or placing comments? You must have their email addresses. I bet if you talks to your web guy, you would be able to block them in someway. That will teach them to mess with our girl!!! LOVE ALL YOU DO!!!
PS: I ALWAYS order water because I don’t drink sweet drinks;) If I knew how, I’d leave you a bunch of little emoticons, but I don’t know how!

  23. Deb

I have never commented before but I visit your site several times a day. As many have already said, you make a HUGE difference for me with all the deals you post. Once I discovered your site I went back and watched all of your Follow Me Monday videos and I learned so much! I changed how I organize my coupons, I learned how to shop the drug stores and I even bought a cute (huge) purse for my binder!
You are awesome. Don’t you ever doubt it.

  24. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Just keep doing what your doing. Your helping countless people save money and in so many other ways. YOur a blessing. Just ignore the morons because they are always going to be around.

  25. Katie

    Collin,
I seriously lmao at your videos. I LOVE your personality, you are a riot. Something that I have taught myself is that if people have to put you down to make themselves feel better. You are 100 times better than them, something is lacking in their own life. Dont worry about them because there are so many more people who enjoy you! Thanks for all that you do.

  26. Lori

Collin, don’t let people bug you. They are probably just jealous of all of the great deals that you find and have to be mean spirited about things. There are a lot of people out there that really appreciate the work that you do (Including me) I love your videos and they make me laugh because you are too funny! Keep up the hard work and I say order the lemons 🙂

  27. Joy

I have never commented on your blog, so I am a lurker until today. THANKS FOR THE LEMON TIP!! I am always ordering soda and it is costly, but I love lemons in my water and I had never thought of putting the sweetener in before. Thanks for the tip. I loved the video. Do the videos when you can and I will enjoy them when you get to them.

  28. Lindsay

Sorry to read that others had such an issue with you ordering lemons. I don’t see what the big deal is. I have really good friends that order a glassful of lemons for their baked potato everytime we go out.

I’m always surprised by people who come onto these deal seeking websites to get help and post nasty comments in return. Get a life.

  29. Nancy

Collin–Ditto with all the positive comments you have been getting!
Please DON’T stop doing what you have been doing! It’s been great getting to know you.
    Thank you.

  30. Kristi

Hi Collin. I love all your videos and posts. You’re so funny and I learn so much from you. I am 21, but I love to save money and have always used coupons. I used to feel weird for using coupons especially when I was younger, but I’ve learned I turn out to be the smarter person since I’m saving so much by using them.I started using a coupon binder like you showed how to make and I like it, but sometimes I feel embarrassed in the store since it is so big, so my mom will carry it at the store for me.haha. Anyways, I check your site a couple times a day and enjoy watching your follow me Monday videos.

  31. A.Marie

You are absolutely the funniest person around…seriously! I love your blog and all the information that you provide. You have a very large following, and as I sat here reading the comments (on this post and the date night post) I realized something: If you take all the comments that were posted and separate them into the appreciative comments vs. hater comments, the appreciate comments win…hands down…due to the sheer volume of them. The hater comments just seem to “stand out” more, because that is what hate does…it tends to overshadow the good.

So, I guess what I am trying to say is this: Don’t let a few haters ruin this for everyone else. You are a jewel and all of us would be lost without you. Yep…even the hater’s would be lost, because, they’d have to go and find something (or someone) else to complain about!! 🙂

  32. Kristin

I have never commented on your videos before, but I want to let you know now how much I love them! Please do not stop making the videos! Yesterdays was one of my favorite ones! I have not ordered a glass of pop at a restaurant for years, because I can’t justify the outrageous price they charge! I check your site several times a day for the latest deals, and am always so happy when I see a new video on Monday!

  33. cindy

Collin…..if i lived in florida..i would want to be your best friend! I think you have a wonderful heart and a sincere soul! Thank you for all the hard work you do for all of us….and remember those that make you feel bad are not worthy of you! Continue to hit that delete button because you have so many people that are so thankful for all that you do and love who you are!!!

  34. Cory

Please do not let some negative comments pull you down! I always look forward to your Monday videos and would hate for you to stop them. The lemon trick is nothing new. . . I am a good bit older than you and when I was a server had “those people” would would essentially want 3 or 4 entire lemons, not a small bowl. Easier said than done, but I believe the opinion of you is quite high among your regular followers and not what was reflected by those comments. I think some people probably expected a different video as it was a bit unlike your normal ones in soem ways, but that did not make it any less informative or fun.

Thank you for all the work you put into helping me save money!!!

  35. Jojo

Collin. Thank you for all the work you do to help our family. We appreciate you and all of your creative ways you save

  36. Ty

Collin, I so appreciate your follow-me-Monday videos. You crack me up everytime. When you brought up those lemons, my Mom, kids and I were watching the video, I said “Wow, that is a good idea”. I usually order Coke but is it costly especially when we are spending so much just to eat. I am a single mom and boy any little thing would help. I don’t expect the kids to do the same, they will still get their Coke but I will sure try it. My Mom said that is exactly what my uncle does all the time and he is one of the most frugal people I know. KEEP MAKING THE VIDEOS – WE LOVE THEM!

  37. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Collin, Sweet girl you are a doll and bless us with your hard work on this site. Negative comments are a sign of poor taste or they simply don’t know any better. I personally do the same thing! Please don’t be discouraged, you’re a beautiful and successful woman, mommy and wife.

  38. Allison

I’ll just say what I’ve been saying since the first week I found your blog…U ROCK!!! You are my favorite! I loved the video, the info you share is amazing and you are always so stinkin cute I could just pinch ya! Sending good vibes your way 🙂

  39. sarah

I just watched the lemon video — all the uproar had me curious…

I want to start off with positive because I DON’T want this to be something that comes across as mean — so — I LOVE THIS BLOG AND ALSO CHECK IT A MILLION TIMES A DAY!

I’m saying this as a former server though — and more of a warning than a threat — but BE CAREFUL WHERE YOU DO THE LEMON THING! I use to work at a resturant on the Olive Garden scale and I know for a fact when someone does this the servers I worked with wouldn’t give them as good of service — assuming “if they’re too cheap to pay for a drink they’re not going to tip.” My husband is also a resturant manager at a similar resturant and he’s told me stories of the same thing

ALSO — if you go to a lower scale resturant — no idea what a server could do to your food!

Thank you soo much though Collin for the tips — I will be coming back without a second though — and I don’t blame you for the lemon thing — I just wanted to throw out something that always worries me when I go to a resturant and do something that’s not “common” and give you experiences I’ve had from the servers perspective!

    • Tam

Wow! I think this is really sad, even though it is the world we live in today. All of this over lemons..

I have a kidney condition, which is too long/boring to go into here, but I have to have a lot of lemon. It helps control my kidney disease, and therefore, I drink lemon in everything. I also cannot have a lot of soda/tea, so normally it is lemon water that I drink.

That doesn’t mean that I wouldn’t/don’t tip well, unless the service I get warrants it. If someone is going to give me crappy service or do something to my food because I medically have to have lemons and can’t have soda/tea, shame on them. I have seen people with HUGE bills and expensive drinks that don’t tip because they blew it all on the drinks/food they ordered.

Thanks for the insight though Sarah, I will be sure to tell every server I have from now on that medically I cannot drink tea/soda and need lemons. Wonder if I should get a medical note from my doctor stating this?!

      • Kristin

That’s funny about getting a medical note 🙂 Sadly she is telling the truth about stereotyping people who make lemonade at their table. I did it as a server. I do feel bad now that I’m much more frugally minded. But then it was irritating. My biggest thing was we had lemonade for them and it was only 1.19 with unlimited refills. Now I could have seen the benefit if 10 people at one table did this therefore saving around 11bucks but it was always just one person. So in my eyes I felt like they must be cheap if they can’t “splurge” on a $1 drink. However I wasn’t one of those slacker servers. I gave the best service to everyone b/c I was a young, married, college student and we desperately needed good tips. Over the years I did learn that not everyone that orders tons of lemons with their water would tip bad.

To me this stereotype is no different than all of us couponers choosing young males to check us out…

And of course Collin I LOVE your blog and I loved the video! It actually inspired me to considered going out for a movie. It’s been years since I’ve stepped foot in a theater.

        • WenFromTX

Most places don’t have $1 cokes… even for fast food places. In Texas, for a sit down meal, it is more like $2.50!

    • Joe Money

its not that too cheap to pay for a drink. I can’t eat meal with soda and my hubby shouldn’t drink soda for health issue, I don’t let my kids drink too much juic either…, so we order water all the time. I didn’t know that we look so cheap.

      • Tresa

I had no idea either!!! I hate fountain pop, so would rather have water. Had no clue that the servers thought we were being cheap! Interesting, very interesting. We don’t get a chance to go out much, maybe that’s a good thing!

    • Andrea

When my husband and I go out to dinner, one of the reasons we both order water is so that we don’t waste money on the drinks and can use that money to go towards tipping 20%. Its a shame that some servers (please note I did not say all servers) would give service that was not up to par just because of the type of drink the customer ordered.

      • Kristin

I just wanted to say, at least for me, it was never the people that ordered just water or even water with one lemon wedge. It was the ones that ordered a cup of lemons with in order to make lemonade when we served lemonade ourselves. It was the same thought we gave to people who would order ice and then poured a diet coke bottle they brought from home. Sadly it can give the impression that you are cheap and therefore would lead a server to think you won’t tip well. I’m by no means saying that is true! I know for many years of serving that sometimes the most frugally minded people were actually my best tippers.

        • Tam

That’s because we have saved money everywhere else to tip better 🙂

        • SaraJC

Didnt realize drinking water makes us look cheap! Wow!
Theres people who tip, those who tip well, and those that would just leave too little of a tip. Not all of these people drink ONLY water with lemons! So what is the big deal people. Some people need a chill pill! Seriously come on. Get over it!

    • Kerry

LOL Sarah, I’m a waitress at one of those “lower scale restaurants” and I can assure everyone on here that we do not do anything to people’s food where I work! AND we don’t care if people ask for extra stuff – including lemons. 🙂 Nor do we judge anyone for asking for extra stuff or for just drinking water with their meal. I have regular customers who bring in their own tea bags, crystal light packets, sugar free jelly, flavored creamer, fat free dressing packets, etc… WE DON’T CARE! Some people are diabetic, or on a diet, or can’t have caffiene, or like us on here, just trying to save a buck. Quite frankly, it’s none of my business unless I’m told by management that they are no longer allowed to bring these items in or that we are going to charge for extra stuff. As far as tipping goes…I’ve learned to not judge how someone is going to tip and I also go to work with the intention of treating every customer the way I would like to be treated when I’m eating out.

Now for Collin…I’m sure you’ve read quite a few posts by now, but I just have to say like so many others, THANK YOU!! I’m a single mom with 2 teenagers and I’m waitressing my way through grad school. So money is very very tight in my house. Thanks to you and your site, I am able to afford everything we need PLUS stock up! You have changed the way I think about spending/saving money! And your Monday videos are hilarious! I LOVE watching them! So PLEASE don’t change a thing!!!

      • Kerry

PS: To all the rude meanies on here…SHAME ON ALL OF YOU! And if you have children, I sure hope they are not emulating your ridiculous behavior!! Is this how you want your children to act towards others???

        • sarah

I wasn’t trying to be rude!!! It was stricktly just a warning — Kristen — thank you for backing up what I was saying — and Kerry — I’m sorry if I offended you — that was the last thing I was trying to do — I just wanted to get it out there since I had been on the other side. Maybe I jumped to conclusions on the “lower scale” — which sound worse than what I even ment just by saying it again!

Keep in mind, I’m a FORMER server — now that I’m not a college kid, I totally see why people do it, or why there could be reasons to do it — but at 19/20 years old…I didn’t care…I was there to make money…and that’s all it was to me! I ABSOLUTELY don’t agree with the behavor, but figured I’d let people know since some had never been servers and just show you what their mentality was…I’m not saying it’s the right thing to do!

          • Kerry

Sarah, I really was not offended! 🙂 And I know that sometimes what we write doesn’t come across they way we intended…it’s the nature of the blog scene! 🙂 And I really do get what you are saying…

          • Kerry

oops…”they” is supposed to be “the”

          • sarah

Awesome, I agree, blogs never show the real emotion behind what is trying to be said! Thanks Kerry!

Oh my goodness. I did not see the rude comments. I am so sorry that there are people who feel the need to be ugly. I say, if you don’t have anything nice to say…. DON”T say anything at all. You took your time on YOUR date night to teach us how to be wise with our money on a special evening. I loved your video. I thought it was clever that you even thought to do one about date nights. That’s thinking out of the box, and that’s awesome. You are so cute on these videos, so real. Please do not let the hurtful words of a few ruin for the rest of us. We really appreciate you. Mean people suck! Have a good day and keep doing what you do.

Please don’t let these rude people get you down! I come here twice a day just to see what is going on here! Your videos rock and you are educating my 17 yr. old daughter how to shop wisely when she leaves for school next year! You are providing my family with things we otherwise could not afford! Thankyou Thankyou Thankyou

  42. Linda

I loved the video, as always, informative and entertaining. I love your personality and ZEST for life. For all of us who are Depending on your site for info, a laugh, and a bargain, please know that WE appreciate you and Thank You. You are such an inspiration and a blessing. Thank you for being “so genuine”. Just for the record, I always order water with lemon. After all, I am older and wiser than I used to be.

    Collin,
Please know that there are TONS of people who follow you, but do not post comments regularly. (like me) After watching yesterday’s video, my first thought was, “She is so cute!” I love that you are “real”, and keep the camera rolling even when you lose your train of thought!

Please delete ALL of the negative comments (I didn’t even bother to read them, no sense in that) and know that your loyal followers love seeing your videos!

My husband is military as well, and just shakes his head when he hears me rambling on about coupons etc. BUT, our shelves are stocked, we go out to dinner more often (with coupons!) and we have a savings account that is growing rapidly. (AND I hear him bragging to his friends, LOL)

Thanks for all that you do! You have made a positive change in many people’s lives!
    GO COLLIN!

  44. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Collin, as of righ now there are almost 500 people speaking out that they LOVE and SUPPORT everything you do. No telling how many thousands more agree, but didn’t get to comment. Keep being your cute little helpful self. I personally love water over soda any day from a frugal and healthy standpoint. I’d hate to be so miserable, that I take my meaness out on the lady with the coupons and the deals. Geesh!
Going to pick up my kid’s Croc boots from the post office today. I will have three happy little girls jumping in the puddles thanks to you and the awesome deal you posted.

  45. Janice

Don’t you dare let some jerks make you feel that way!!
We (and my husband too!) LOVE your videos!! You are way to cute and make us laugh at the same time of getting some GREAT ideas for saving!!! We both LOVED your idea on lemonade!! I never even thought to do that (just ordered plain ole water!)….and we LOVE your ideas on saving money….
You keep ’em coming b/c whatever comments you rec’d are not the norm…there are a TON of us out here who value your videos/postings/ideas/thoughts and LOVE them….just a few bad lemons should not spoil it for the rest of us!!
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not listen to “them”..listen to “us” who LOVE YOUR BLOG!!!! AND LOVE YOUR VIDEOS!!!

  46. Maureen

    Collin,
You are the greatest!!! I’ve saved so much money by following your blog. I like that you give lots of suggestions and readers can pick the ones that work best for them. I know it’s hard but try to ignore the rude comments – I can’t believe some people. Keep up the great work!

  47. Patti

Collin, Please don’t stop your “Follow me Monday’s Video”. My almost 8 year old twins and I love watching you. We check your website at least a 100 times a day. (If I’m exagerating it’s only by 75 or so…LOL) You have helped me save so much money already. I’ve been following you since late October and love your website. Please don’t let people get you down. They are just jealous they didn’t think of it first…..

  48. Angela

    Collin,
Your site is the best and the follow me monday is great. (That is why i have such a great coupon binder!!!!LOL) Anyways the haters should just go to some cheesy site to get their info!!! Keep it going girl – you rock!!!!

  49. JodiSue1

Oh Collin, I understand that you were feeling ganged up on and that sucks, but I REALLY hope you continue doing the Mondays because they are so awesome & enlightening. I hope all of the negative folks who posted unfriendly comments keep their comments to themselves next time. My dad always says, “If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all.”.

  50. Heidi

I’m always asked if I want lemon in my water and I always say yes, even though I barely use it. I think adding the lemon and some sweetener is a great idea and certainly less wasteful than asking for the lemon and not using it.

Thanks for all the hard work, especially putting yourself out there on camera. I love the videos!
