DEAD!

I am super excited! I just received an email that the ginormous Huggies wipes refill packs are actually ringing in at the same sale price of the regular small boxes of Huggies wipes! That means the huge refills are on sale for just $2.50 each (they may not be marked, so make sure to do a price check)! These are regularly priced at $7.99, so this is a steal! If you have a $4 off $20 CVS coupon, then you’ll be able to sweeten this deal even further! (Thanks, MavenOfSavin’!)

Boo hoo — I’m so bummed I just got on and found this … I work as a nurse 12 hrs starting at 7:00 tomorrow — but will be trying to convince my husband to stop by a CVS on his way to work tomorrow 😉

  2. Mary

just went in got 8 packages!

  3. bethany

Just went and got 3…I wanted to buy more but I controlled myself and only bought what I had coupons for. I know what it’s like to try and get a deal and have it all be gone! 🙂

  4. Megan

I’m kicking myself for not checking–but did anyone scan the pampers big packs and see if they are also ringing up as 2/$5?

    • Tawanda!

      Megan,
I thought about it when I was picking up my Huggies wipes, so I scanned it, and it’s still priced at $7.99, no sale.
Again, like everyone else, I ran out of my house at breakneck speed to the nearest CVS. I picked up some to use when we eat crawfish ( a New Orleans past time), some for shower gifts, and I purchased 2 packages for a girl standing in front of me who had just had a baby, but didn’t have the money to purchase any. It felt GREAT to bless someone as I have been blessed. Thanks Collin!

      • Tawanda!

I wanted to clarify, I scanned the Pampers wipes and they are still selling at the regular price. No deal on those.

        • Megan

Thanks Tawanda! Now I can stop kicking myself…:P I hadn’t thought about crawfish season–maybe I should get some more now, lol.

          • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Megan, Do you live in New Orleans or some part of Louisisana?

        • Lacey

That was very nice of you to get those for the girl infront of you. You probably made her week. We never know what kind of pressures on people these days. You didn’t just help her financially, but you made her feel like someone out there really cares and understands. Way to go! Way to go!! Way to goo!!! I bet she never ever forget you doing that for her even though she doesn’t know you. : )

      • Sheila

Totally made my night just hearing this story. I’m going to try and go tomorrow and pass the deal on to others as well…I’m inspired!!

      • Jenna

You are what my husband and I call GOOD PEOPLE. I am sure she will sleep better tonight because of your good deed@

      • Missy

That was so kind, Tawanda! You’re an inspiration to me. I’m going to CVS in a bit and if they have any wipes left I’m going to get some extra to bless someone with. Thanks for sharing!

  5. Kanda

I am so glad I ran into a woman telling me about this site on Saturday. Sine then I have saved from you posts over $150 in just two days! I took advantage of this wipes deal. I had my mother go to her local CVS since I don’t have one and she scored 12 bags for $25!!! I also found a deal on Crocs you had posted a while back and took advantage of that…saving me over 50! Thank you! I love you!

  6. Tara

Rats cant make it to the store tonight. I will try tomorrow though!

  7. Mary

Dont forget to look to the packs with the codes for enjoy the ride rewards!!!

    • Megan

      Ditto–8 pts./pack!

  8. Sheila

Confirmed in Fargo ND, plenty on the shelves! (I had a .75 coupon from a huggies mailer, and I got a $2 coupon from the machine! 🙂

  9. mona.dalagan

Woohoo! I am so glad my DH said “YES” when I told him I want to buy some wipes from CVS! I’ve been wanting to retire my housemate’s CVS card which had $10 EBs. So out we went to CVS, Antioch, CA and got 4 packages! I had 1 $0.50 manu q from mailer, so I grabbed some CVS chocolate covered raisin for $0.99. Super cheap wipes!! Thanks, Collin!!!

  10. Irene

A huge THANK YOU for this tip.. I just got home for the evening and read your blog. I figured this was worth a trip back out. I used a 5/15 coupon ( Which expired today and I was just going to let pass) and was able to get 6 huge bags of wipes for 10.00. Didn’t even look for more coupons which I am sure I have.

  11. Heather

OMG I can’t wait to go tomorrow and see if my store has them! think I may have some coupons around too. My daughter has a 3 week old baby so any cheap product is worth it. we have a ton saved up from her shower but know they won’t last long since we have already gone through at least 2-3 tubs in the 3 weeks! LOL

  12. Elise D

THANK YOU! THANK YOU!!! I’m sick as a dog right now (horrible chest cold or something) and I was in bed. Always like to check your site before bed just in case there is something I should know! I had to contemplate for a minute, do I or don’t I??!! Well, I knew I’d kick myself tomorrow! I just drove 20 min. to the only 24 hr CVS on the other side of town and since I’m new to CVSing, I tried the scanner $5 off $15 coupon printed out. I was sooo nervous!!! 🙂
I brought two up, had the cashier check and sure enough! So I told him, hold on and went back and got 4 more! Then I went out to my car, realized I had a 50 cent off coupon and decided to go back for 4 more again! I figured that 50 cents will probably never go so far!! Thank you, thank you! You rock! I love your site!!! My brother is a newly single father and so I’m going to help him w/ some of these!

  13. Virginia

Woohoo on the phone with DH now and he grabbed 14 packs for the 2/5 price! I may check some other stores in the morning to see if the deal is still going. We have 8 CVS’s so plenty to go around. This is perfect since I have 2 in diapers and my sister is having her first baby in May!

  14. Kathy

I got this deal today…bought all that they had left. Thanks!

  15. Betty

My hubby is out right now taking advantage of this deal. I feel bad that he’s out this late BUT I do not think it will be going on tomorrow and it’s just too good to pass up.

  16. julie

can someone comfirm this deal in FL maybe PENSACOLA????

    • Kristen

Hey Julie – I’m in Milton and it worked here!

      • julie

sweet wonder how many folks in Pcola look on this site lol?? going to hit them all in the am lol with hubby laid off again this deal is a good one but only if I had some dang Qs

        thanks for letting me know

  17. Emily

Just got back from the store. Cannot believe this great deal, and such good timing for us, financially! I don’t do the Enjoy the Ride Program. I’ll happily give my codes to the first person who replies!

    • Diane

Emily – I’d love your Enjoy the Ride codes. Can I email you, or how should we do this? Thanks!!!

  18. Isabel

Thanks so much for the heads up!!!…I was able to snag the last 4 at my cvs and have 4 more $1/off coupons so hoping to find 4 more tomorrow,…this is such a great deal I called everyone I know that has kids!

    • Tiffany

Can someone let us know if they try this in the morning and if it’s still working. My CVS closed at 9. Thanks for the heads up!

  19. Annie

Worked in CA. Walked out of the store with as many non-fragrance ones I could. 5 refill packs and 1 boxed (I know, but I don’t have any containers at home for the refills). What an awesome deal! And got one of those reusable bag tags so here’s hoping for more deals and EBs soon!

  20. Sheila

THANKS HIP!! Seriously, I was all gittery (is that a word) on my way to the store, SCORED 6 and a $5/15 like most…WAHOOO! LOVE great deals with babies coming!!

  21. Beverly

I just picked up 6 packs in Phoenix, AZ – worked like a charm!
    As always- hip u rock!!

  22. SaraJC

Sent my mom to get some wipes in vegas. Still $7.99 ! =[

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Worked for me and I’m in Las Vegas. $5/$15 print out, 6 $1/1 Vons coupon=6pks for $4. Sweet:)

  23. A.D.

    Worked in Northern Cali!

FYI, just the Huggies wipes are ringing up at $2.50, not the Pampers wipes (ringing up at $7.99) – at least at my store.

I didn’t get any $5/$15 or $5/$20 coupons and had only one $.50/1 Huggies wipes coupons, but still an awesome deal!

  24. Jill

Costco charges $23 for 1000 wipes, I didn’t have any coupons and I got 1200 wipes for $15 bucks. Can’t beat that. I recently stocked up on 6 weeks worth of diapers for around $10 (long story), and I was just saying I wish I could find a great deal on wipes. Thanks, Collin!

    • Carla

Wow! Where do you live that Costco sells the wipes at $23 for 1000?? My husband went last week and he paid $19 for 900. Thank God I never opened the box and since I kept the receipt, they are going back! 😉

  25. Cara

Just cleaned out my neighborhood CVS! I bought 16 refills and had a $3 off $15 coupon, so my total was $37 + tax! The total should have been $148 + tax. Score! Thanks Hip2Save!

    • Kellie

Not to open a can of worms here, but that’s just WRONG. Why would you buy 16 packages of wipes and leave none for other people??? How would you feel if you went into the store for this deal and there were none left because some selfish person bought all of them?! People like you are the ones who end up messing everything up for the rest of us.

      • Tonya

how do you know she’s not donating them?? Seriously….think before you whip out unnessesary comments.

        • Kellie

I hope she is donating them… but she could donate some and leave some for somebody else. Do you like walking into a store and finding the shelves empty of what you were going to buy?! Defend her if you want… it’s GREED, no two ways about it. Ugh.

      • Amy

i dont think anyone should be bragging about clearing the shelves. that is just wrong.

      • Lacey

Personally, I find nothing wrong with what you did. Alot of people are hurting right now. You probably really needed them or are going to share with someone who does. If it weren’t for me stocking up on Walgreens diapers last Spring and the Huggies wipe deal last spring, I don’t know how we would have made it with 2 in diapers. My husband is self-employed and lost over half of his work. So, I think everyone should be very cautious when attacking someone. She could have shared that she cleared the shelves just b/c it was what she really needed and she was excited. I got what was left of the wipes at my store, and it is a good thing I did since the managers are not giving rainchecks.

  26. Ashley

For those of you who still have the Safeway Jan. booklet, there is $1/1 Huggies wipes Q inside that expires 2/28!!!! This is a killer deal with that Q!

    • Rosie

I’m so sad… I just used my last one of that Q at Target yesterday. Called my CVS and price checked… they said they’re $7.99 but I’m willing to bet they just checked the shelf price and didn’t scan them, so I might run in this evening anyway when I have the car again. Need to go to the grocery store anyway. If they’re on sale, awesome. If not, oh well. =)

    • Sheila

YAY! I had three of these booklets, $1/1 never went sooo far!!!

  27. Elizabeth

Thank you!!! I just logged on at about 9:30 pm and saw this deal. I immediately handed off my newborn to my hubby to head over to CVS to score this deal, as they will probably get this “fixed” into their computers soon. I scanned my card upon entering the store and got a $5 off $15 purchase and a $2 off a Huggies wipes coupon! And I happened to have a couple of manufacturer coupons in my purse because wipes are on my list of things to buy this week. Woo-hoo!!! I scored 10 packages of the refills at my first stop. When I left it was 9:52 pm, so I thought I’d head to a smaller CVS up the road. Got there at 9:56 pm and they had locked their doors early. So I banged on the door to have them let me in. Got the 3 packs they had there and my receipt was time-stamped at 9:59 pm. So they didn’t even have to stay late for me!

  28. krystal2106

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAA TYTYTYTYTYTY i got 14 packs 2 transactions 2 different stores had 5/15 and a 4/20 paid $26 for 14 PACKS!!!! and i had just forgot to buy them yesterday @ H-E-B and im glad i forgot lol! with 1 baby in diapers and one on the way i can use ALLL the wipes i can get!!!!

    • krystal2106

ohh ya and this was in san antonio TX

  29. Christen

    Whoever discovered this deal…THANK YOU!!
I saw this deal at midnight–I was just about to go to bed. I figured I’d better drag myself to CVS now rather than be mad at myself tomorrow when they are all gone. Luckily the cvs is 24 hours and a 2 minute drive from my house! There shelf was FULL! I grabbed a couple and acted surprised at the register when they rang up for $2.50. The cashier was really surprised and told me I should get more. Well, if you insist! Lol. I bought 10 total and used my gift card from prescription transfering. Love you Collin!!!!!!!!!

  30. bekabucks

Wooohoo! 5/15 when I scanned my card..so 6 bags for $10–seriously, you cannot beat that!

  31. Kellie

I was able to get in on this deal too, here in Nashville. Thanks Collin!

I have to say, though, reading through the comments and seeing that there are some people who have no qualms about going into a store and “cleaning them out” – buying every last one – and then moving on to the next store and doing the same thing… I have to wonder – what’s WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE?!?! Seriously… there are some really, REALLY selfish people around here. Makes me kinda sick.

    • Lori

I have not had the chance to make it to my local store yet and am hoping that the deal is still working today.
As far as the “What is wrong with you people?” comment….I don’t agree with those who go to a store and clean out the supply. I have even felt the guilt of it myself when I have arrived home with a huge supply of an item (so please don’t think that I am judging anyone) However, I think that the mentality is that in this economy, stock up on the items that are must haves at a great price to save more in the future. This, I agree with.
BUT….deals come all the time. All the time. So now, I try to stick to what would last me six months if a great deal comes along. Also, if I get to a store and see that is almost wiped out and, for example, if I have 12 coupons and there are only 12 left, I take six. This way another person coming behind me will feel the thrill of the hunt/save/awesome deal experience.
      Just a thought.

      • Anonymous

This is definitely stock up price. I don’t see buying only 2-5 packs stocking up. For those of you who think it is wrong to buy a lot..don’t you think it’s wrong then to even get in on this deal when it is obviously a mistake? Just my two cents..

        • Jess

I’m not a shelf clearer, mostly because I don’t like spending a large chunk of my budget on one item and because I don’t like having huge stockpiles – 2 months worth is good enough for me. But, I don’t understand why some people are so upset when others buy a lot of something. I am all for sharing when there’s a limited number of items and a set number of people who want them but in this case there are too many unknowns.

We don’t know how many CVS’s are in the area, how many packages are in each of their stock rooms or when their supply trucks will come. Plus, we don’t know how many other people in the area are interested in the deal. What if we’re saving the wipes, and losing out ourselves, for people that will never show up. If you live in a touristy, wealthy or elderly area, there might not be a lot of other frugal blog/forum reading customers hoping to score the deal. I don’t think there has a been a single drug store deal that I couldn’t find at at least one of the locations within 5 miles of my house, even when I wait until mid-week.

Bragging about “clearing the shelves” is in poor taste and if you know you live in a target area for a product it would be nice not to buy every single one, but, in my opinion, if somebody’s willing to drag themselves out of bed at 10pm-12am then they’ve earned the right to purchase them all because I knew they could be gone when I decided to wait and go today when it was more convinent for me.

          Just offering another perspective.

          • Amanda F

I agree with Jess, nobody knows what the situation is of someone that may clear a shelf with an item. Everybody has to do what is right for them..not you. I have to think about that when I go somewhere and see a shelf cleared from a deal, or even see someone with tons of one item in their cart. I don’t get pissed off, it’s first come, first serve. Its not as if we are in the days of the settlers and have to wait months for something to come back to the general store! (haha-my daughter is studying that time period in school). If something is gone, get a rain check and move on. I seriously doubt people are clearing the shelves to piss other people off or to throw the stuff in the garbage.

        • Shanna Bass

No, it’s wrong when you don’t let others share in the wealth.

          • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Wow! That’s sounds about like socialism. That mentality is part of why our economy is in trouble and our nation in debt. Sorry I read that comment b/c it makes me both mad and sad.

    • Tonya

Besides….how do you know she’s not donating them?? Ya never know.

      • Kellie

Buying a lot vs. buying ALL and moving on from store to store to store doing the same thing… that’s what I’m talking about. I try to stock up on stuff as much as I can but I’m not gonna just go clean out every store in Nashville and leave none for the next person. That’s what I’m saying… I have nothing against stockpiling. But I do have a lot against GREED. And I don’t care if she is donating them…. donate some but leave some for other people!!! Just think of how you’d feel if you were walking into CVS and passed somebody with 30 packages of wipes in their cart on their way out and found out that that person had just cleared the shelves… don’t EVEN tell me you wouldn’t want to slap her!!!

        • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I agree with Kellie… those who clear the shelves are the ones who give couponers a bad rep. Show some class, people!

          • Amanda

What really shows no class is when other people whine and complain about the actions of others.

        • mss2069

I agree, that’s how i felt when i saw the lady at my cvs doing that. I was so mad!!

          • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

My point exactly… people who do things like that – and especially the ones who do it and then brag about it – have no class whatsoever!

          • Madeline

I have to say that it bothers me as when when I see someone else literally “clear the shelves”. But even worse than that, at my CVS when I was hunting for the Huggies wipes, I saw that most of the “Enjoy the Ride” Codes had been ripped open. It’s just sad!

  32. Anon

Scanned my card and I did NOT get the Huggies coupon but I did get a $5/15 coupon! Plus I had 3 $0.50/1 coupons, so I was able to get 6 refill packs for just $9!!! Woohoo Thanks!

  33. Elizabeth

I got the $5/$15Q, but guess what? My CVS was CLEANED OUT. 🙁 I’m so sad.

  34. couponmom1231

GOT MINE! was waiting at the CVA door this morning:) Grabbed 10, had the $5 off $15, $2 off wipes:) Pretty great steal:)

  35. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I just got two packs at 7:15 this morning, so it was still that price at this time. I also hit a nice little treat on the ol’ CVS coupon scanner and got a $5 off $15 coupon and a B1G1 free Godiva chocolate bars up to $3.49 (actually cost $3.99, but oh well it was a nice treat). Added a few Cadbury’s Cream eggs (my favorite) as filler items to get the total above $15 and walked out with 2 packs of wipes, 2 Godiva chocolate bars, 4 cadbury’s creme eggs, all for $8.59 after tax.

  36. Kelly

I just went to CVS this morning and they still have the wipes at 2 for $5.

  37. Becky

My hubby made a special trip to CVS this morning and was able to score 2! So excited since I wouldn’t be able to leave the house until 5pm, and by then the deal could be done or the wipes may be cleared out. I was so surprised when my husband said he would go-that’s love, lol. Also, this was in Winchester, VA and there were plenty on the shelf!

  38. Linda

Works here in Macomb, MI as of 8:30 this morning. Although no good coupons printed out at the kiosk. They never do for me. But the wipes are not marked and scan 2 for $5. I got some Huggies coupons mailed to me last week that contain a $.50 off wipes. Might go back later to use it, of course I forgot it this morning!

  39. anon

Does anyone know if you can get a card when you walk in or if they scan one of their own if you don’t have one….i would really like to get this deal and i hear its in out area…

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

you can just ask for one when you walk in. it takes a few seconds to fill out info.

    • Becky

You can walk in and sign up for a card. Only takes a minute or two!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

It’s a CVS card that gets you the savings. Just ask for you when you walk in. All you have to do is fill out your name, address, and phone number and they’ll give you one. Takes just a few seconds! 🙂

      • anon

i tried that and they gave me an application and said to mail it off and i should get the card up to 2 weeks….maybe i’ll try again…thanks for the info

  40. Melissa

I am new to CVS shopping and wondered what card everyone is referring to and how do I get it?

    • anon

…without it i dont think you can get the specials, you pay reg price…it kinda works like a bonus card at a grocery store….it called the ExtraCare Rewards Card…go to cvs.com and click on the link extracare and it will explain the rewards/extrabucks you get back when you use your card

      • anon

Sorry i forgot to mention, you should just be able to walk in the store and fill out your name, address, etc. only take a few minutes….

    • Sheila

It’s an Extra Care Bucks card. You scan it every time you purchase anything. You get “money” back to use in their store called ECB’s. Just ask the sales associate and they will gladly hook you up!

  41. Amanda

Thanks to everyone letting us know this deal is still going on! I am on my way as soon as I drop the kiddos off at daycare!! Yay!!! 🙂

  42. Erica

Worked in Michigan!!! Although- the $2.00 off coupon didn’t print with either of my CVS cards.

  43. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Melissa, just walk up to the cashier at the front of the store and tell them you need a cvs card. They are red and say cvs extracare on the front. Make sure you have them scan it each time you purchase something there to get the advertised prices.

The deal is also working here in the Houston, Texas area. I have about 4 cvs stores in my area. The one I stopped at had a huge overstock of the large bags. I bought 8 bags. This is such a great deal .I am due in September and this is one less thing that I need to think about. They should last at least 6 months and I have a husband who uses alot of wipes to clean a baby. lol It is so funny to watch him.

  44. mss2069

Ok, i went to the CVS by my job and jush when i walked in this lady had bought (and I kidd you not)30 bags. I was po’ed to say the least, come on leave some for other people. But luckly they had 3 in the back and gave me a rain check.

    • mss2069

      just not jush..sorry

      • anon

that’s what i call greed….its ok to stock up if the store is well stocked, but at the same time be considerate of others…i would have been p-off too that would have happened to me…so i try to remember, while i am being frugal, let others take part in the deal too!! How would i feel if someone did that to me??

        • BrandyK

I think we should stop judging other people period. Maybe she has sextuplet newborns. Maybe she has a daycare. Maybe she has toddlers and she and her husband are unemployed.

You never know someone else’s situation.

Seriously people. You win some, you lose some. Sometimes I get the deal, sometimes I miss out.

Get over it. You’re only hurting yourself by carrying so much anger and hate around.

  45. Susanne

Worked for me in SC. DId not clean my shelves but did stock up even without coupons its a great deal. Though my manager made me feel a bit guilty telling me he was losing a good bit on this deal. I asked him if he wanted to quantity limit me and he said no. So I don’t know how much longer the deal will last…if he has anything to do with it! Though now that I read all these comments if CVS wanted to kill the deal they could have done it by now so who knows! Great deal, thanks Collin. Would never have found it without ‘ya!

  46. michelle

Just worked for me here in NC

  47. Stacy

Worked for me in SC! Thanks Collin with 2 in diappers its a great deal ! I also told someone about your site! 🙂

  48. Melody

Worked in South Florida too! ALL of the huggies refills are scanning at this price, so there were lots to choose from at my store. I also got the $5 off $15 coupon and used a previous $3 register reward, so it worked out nicely! And I used my free exedrin coupon while there.

I wanted to point out to people that when I walked around the store, I saw more wipes in a shelf attached to the pharmacy. So if you’re looking for a particular kind of wipe (I like the sensitive because it’s not scented) you may find more there.

    Hooray for inexpensive wipes!

Thanks soooo much Collin. Because of you my baby will have clean bottoms for a while and my husband able to alleviate headaches easily. 🙂

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Some of the comments (both for stocking up and taking only “your share”) on this blog remind me of the scene of a mob running into a store and trying to get the latest product that is on sale, ripping the product out of each other’s hand and physically fighting over the product. Whether people like it or not it is a buyer market, first come, first serve.

I bought 2 packs this am at the only CVS in town. Not many packages–I don’t believe the shelves were that well stock to begin with.

      • Elizabeth

I know it’s almost like the Day after Thanksgiving Mad Rush that came into my mind !!! Thats just Crazy !

Great deal! I just came back from CVS, and there were almost no tubs left, but tons of the big packs. I took one to the scanner and it said Reg 8.39 on sale 2/5.00 with card! I have a baby shower in 2 weeks, and I have 1 in diapers, so I stocked up. I bought 6 packs, tissue that was on sale, and 2 packs of Glucerna for my hubby. I used coupons for everything, and had a $10 CVS Advisor coupon and I paid 4.98. The lady was impressed.
