Reminder: Lowe's 90% Off Kitchen Aid Mixer 12:01AM EST (1st 100 only)
Just like I promised in my Lowe’s post earlier today, here is a reminder for all you night owls! If you can stay awake until 12:01AM EST, Lowe’s has promised to begin releasing 90% off coupon codes for select items. Lowes has revealed that they are planning to kick off this code craziness with the KitchenAid Stand Mixer at 90% off for 100 fans and 20% off for 900 fans! Soooo, if you are going to attempt to battle it out for one of the 100 90% off codes, here are some tips…
(1) Head over to Lowes.com now
(2) Login or register for an account (this will store your address and allow for a faster online checkout)
(3) Search for the White Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer pictured above (keep in mind that the Lowes site is VERY slow…I was finally able to find the mixer but then unable to add it to my cart which makes me believe that they will not let anyone add it to their cart until 12:01AM?!)
(4) As soon as the clock hits 12:01AM EST, I would begin refreshing the page until you are able to add the mixer to your cart. Then proceed to checkout and add the all important 90% off code (which I am assuming will be posted on the Lowes Facebook Wall)
(5) IMPORTANT: If the promo code quantities have been exhausted by the time you are through the checkout process, the page will indicate that your promo code isn’t valid. Make sure to look for any error messages on the checkout page. If you don’t want the item at that point, you don’t need to proceed with checkout. If you proceed with checkout at that point, you will charged full price for the item.
(6) If you are not fast enough to snag one of the products at 90% off, there are other codes for 20% off that will be posted on the Facebook wall when the 90% off coupons run out.

I GOT IT!!! That was quite a hassle (setting my alarm, getting up, and refreshing my browser every 2 seconds for ~10 min), but well worth it. I thought the site crashed during checkout, BUT I just got the confirmation email — paid $19.23 and will pick it up at my local Lowe’s this weekend! Thanks so much for posting this deal!!

I had it in my cart with the code applied and it was $18.10 or $19.06 after taxes. Then I hit checkout and the site went down. This is crap!!! I had been talking about getting a mixer all day, then at 11:30 I get online and see your post and thought hmm…it was meant to be. Then the code works and I’m really excited only to get screwed. I’ve emailed them and hope they will stick by it since it’s still sitting in my cart at the $18.10 price I just can’t checkout.

No they haven’t. I guess I’m just going to leave the page open on my computer and try tomorrow. But I don’t want to close the page as it’s my only proof the code did work.
Well I opened a second browser and clicked on my cart and it went to my cart and showed 2 in the cart at $181 and said it is out of stock at my store. So don’t click checkout until you talk with them as it will erase the code. I’m glad I did it in a second browser so the 1st still shows the code was active.

you didn’t get it-only 100 people got to redeem a code. Doesn’t matter if your browser crashed or not, if the Lowe’s site crashed, or if you just weren’t fast enough-they made it abundantly clear that only 100 people got to redeem the code!!
Wahoo!!! I didn’t get the Kitchenaid mixer, but I decided to go do an instant win game. . .and won the 4 free Pillsbury Toaster Strudel coupons!!! Yeah! Made my night!!!

There are 16 H2Sers that got it and are saying they were able to COMPLETE their transactions!! WooHoo!, I wasn’t one of them, but out of 100,000 trying, taking %16 of the winnings is pretty good. Way to go other Hip2Savers!!! I really think randomly selecting 100 people out of the registered event attendees and emailing them their own special code would have been more customer friendly.
Yeah! I think that is so awesome! I’m laughing at myself because I was watching the stupid video and putting in the wrong code and then the site “blew up,” but I couldn’t be happier that so many super hip2savers got it! Good for them and hope they make lots of yummy goodies in their mixers!

Well I can’t believe that I am going to admit this but I had a total blonde moment….didn’t realize I am in the CENTRAL time zone so I had set up shop with 3 laptops going only to refresh and find out I missed it!! Kinda feel sorry for all those Lowe’s employers working tomorrow morning …. hopefully they were prepared for what could happen when a bunch of angry customers come in blaming them for something they had nothing to do with….I hope everyone will be kind! I had it locked in and ready to buy with the code accepted adn all. IT FROZE and now i dont think i will get it at the 90 percent off price. I am not mad but am a little frustrated with lowes. I know only a handful of people would win, but they made me think i got it for the discounted price. Oh well, maybe i just didnt need it, but it would have made an excellent gift!

Even after the site crash……..it STILL showed it was in my cart for the discounted amount. I kept trying to check out. All the sudden the site is fixed……they dumped my cart and the code. What a BUNCH OF BULL CRAP. I’m SO SICK OF NEVER WINNING ANYTHING. It was a complete waste of time and I do think it was a EPIC fail on lowes part and frankly I don’t think they care because of all the emails and “talk” they got going on. I’m sick, exhausted and do NOT feel good. I stayed up especially for this. I’m HUMAN……and as a HUMAN……because the work worked but site failed…..I FEEL TOTALLY screwed over. To any person sitting high up on their pedestal preaching all their “goody-goody” BS…..that may feel a need to reply to this “sore loser”………SAVE YOUR BREATH. I’m on my 3rd round of hormone pills and I’m NOT nice right now.

I’m in no way meaning this to be rude, so please don’t take it that way. To get the mixer, you have to be one of those who completes the transaction, not just submitting the code. I think it’s unfair to do it that way…. I think they should give out the code, and whoever gets the code, gets the product. I was on the page to put in my cc info, and didn’t get any further because the site crashed. I think they should have done more than 100 people as well. I bet there was over 50k trying to get it tonight. They could have at least did 1,000! I’m with ya though, I’m upset, but I’ll just watch for their deal again tomorrow night… hoping they’ll change the way they do it.
FYI…no one deserves to, is entitled to, or “should have” won one of these mixers. These promotions are hit and miss. The people who get in on the deals have a little bit of luck behind them. The people who don’t need to not be upset because nothing was promised to them. These companies that have these promotions and give away free products are doing all of us favors so we have no right to whine about not getting something free/cheap.
Agreed. I still have nightmares about the time spend with the Ebay $1 promotion last year, watching the items pop up, and trying as fast as I can to get ANYTHING and failing every single time.
i understand, it is poor planning on lowes part. when i saw all the details i just threw my hands in the air and didnt even plan on staying up.
they get you all excited and then rip it from you! letting you put it in your cart thinking you have claimed it as your own and then BAM! I really could have used a new mixer. I took cake decorating 2 years ago. SInce then I have broken a bunch of mixers. Last Friday I was making frosting for my Halloween and my grandmother’s sunbeam mixer broke. I don’t think it can be fixed. The little plastic thing that holds the beater in cracked. UGH!

The point here is not that there were only 100 codes available. We all understood that only 100 could win. The thing that is getting everyone so upset is that the site crashed and wouldn’t allow people to have a fighting chance. It would be the same as going to the store, waiting outside for them to open and then just as they were opening the doors, the door wouldn’t unlock. Then having them say “oh well, the door broke, deal is over”. I understand that some people were able to get thru which is wonderful but I bet it wasn’t the first 100 that put in the code. I think it was hit or miss when people were able to “break” thru the doors. I had the code in and it was accepted but the site froze when I tried to pay. They shouldn’t have these sales if their site can’t handle it. They should cancel the rest of their “deals” until it is fixed. Lowes should offer some sort of offer to those of us whose site crashed.

The same thing happens with most other deals- these specials get hyped on every single coupon blog, so there are TENS OF THOUSANDS of people trying at the same time. I don’t think that Lowe’s should be held personally responsible that their site went down- that’s like saying Target, Meijer, Walmart and other places should be held responsible if 50,000 all tried to get into their stores at once and the walls came tumbling down.
Let me just say…..I will not be doing this again…..Last night, I put my card info in, NEVER hit the send key….This morning, had a charge for 191 dollars on my card for something i never hit ok too…..It has been a morning of tears and yelling….lol
Your card company should remove that charge if you are insistent about it.

I think it is fabulous that I’m reading about so many people who “won” and got mixers for less than $20! Congratulations! What a great deal! I hope that some of you will take a minute to visit the Lowe’s FB page and leave them a positive comment about your win. They are getting slammed this morning with accusations that this was a scam and that the code didn’t work for anyone.
The amount of complaing that goes on with these deals is getting so out of hand. The Lowes facebook page has TONS of ppl complaining/ Collins page has people constantly complaining. You know early bird gets the worm, just because YOU didnt get one doesnt mean the whole thing is unfair.
They did offer a 20%off code that was still valid at 3 am (when i tried) and it worked just fine so which was still a pretty good deal, its like did people really want the mixer or did they only want it cause it was $30? if thats the case you have to take it as a loss and move on. Im so sick of ppl complaining companies are going to stop great promos like these if ppl cant get it together.
I actually wanted the mixer but the site crashed and showed that it was unavailable in Alexandria, VA so the 20% off code was no good to me. Anyway, I think that people are upset about the site crashing. It really has nothing to do with the early bird catching the worm and everything to do with the site not being able to handle the capacity. It happens. It is what it is. I’m not upset. I actually stayed up, knowing that I had to get up at 4:15 to go to work in the morning but it was fun even if I didn’t get the mixer. I got a free cup of coffee from Burger King this morning so all is right with the world 🙂

The unfortunate part of the internet is that we have no control over Lowe’s site and the number of people on it did cause it to slow down but I think we all expected that. I was left with the same issue as everyone the site froze up but it’s still fun to try! The chances are the same as the lottery! Can’t wait for the next deal! I will again be one of the crazy people trying my hardest!

I can’t believe how many people are mad at Lowe’s ALL because they got it in their cart. It’s just like playing a game boys and girls, you win some you lose some! Lowe’s didn’t have to offer squat but they sure got all of you to pay attention to them….I think it was a pretty fun and cool idea they came up with and kuddos to those who won. Getting thru is always tough on these things and everyone should know that. How many times have we put things in our cart and NOT gotten them after they shipped??!!!?? Heck, I got my Sally order yesterday from the deal that was posted on here and did it only for the free item….did I get the free item…NOPE…it said it was out of stock. Just the way it goes folks!

i just called Lowes Customer Care to cancel the order from last night i got charged $181 + tax. He said he’ll call the Store personally (because i clicked store pick-up) and cancel the order. Then in a few hours the store will call me back to confirm the cancel. and the money will show up in a couple of days. Its funny how a CC works their so quick to take the money. but when somethin like this happens it “takes a few days”. 🙁 at least i get the $ back :-). This was such a rip-off… how are you going to tell people the code but not the three !!! at the end. I have a feeling only insider people knew about the !!!’s and got a pretty good deal on a mixer. I’m not being a poor sport… but I will def be going to Home Depot before Lowes from now on.
Details were posted on the Facebook page as an earlier comment said. I, too put in GIFT and then saw the explanation that you had to put in the !!!, too but by then the site was down.
I kept repeatedly refreshing the FB page waiting for the code to be posted and each time I did there were tons of new comments so I know a LOT of people were trying to get the deal.

It specifically said “GIFT!!! – – -all capitals, three exclamation marks”- I don’t think they were trying to trick people or that it was only for insiders…people just got in a hurry (myself included) and typed it in incorrectly.

I tried and missed, fully expecting what happened to happen. Amazon quit doing their deals this way and went to the lottery system three years ago, and I am hoping Lowe’s has learned their lesson and will do the same. Psychologically, if you enter your name in a drawing, you don’t really expect to win it and are ecstatic if you do. However, when you spend 25 minutes refreshing your browser and trying to get back to the item in your cart when a site has crashed and then come up empty-handed, most people walk away upset.
I decided around 11:30 last night when the Lowes site wasn’t working properly at all that it would be much less frustrating to just go to bed. I’m very glad I made that decision – Congrats to those that actually got one!
