BAD NEWS!: I just read the rules (after nominating a bunch of people and no longer seeing my comments). It is only ONE nomination PER person..which is going to be hard to do with everyone wanting to win. So 20 different people have to nominate you, but you can only nominate ONE of them. That stinks!!
I have been spacing my names out…and they are all still there…I don’t think they can keep track…so I am going to going ahead with the plan…spaced out throughout…and hope we all get lucky… 🙂

Someone mentioned earlier in the comments about how this giveaway doesn’t even make sense. How on earth can they gift anyone a pair of jeans when they have absolutely no way of knowing exactly who the people are. There are usually several people with the exact same name, and they also don’t have the peoples phone numbers, e-mail addresses or anything. I thought it was a good point. I am extremely doubtful that anyone will receive anything. It’s a bummer. 🙁

I’m not sure, but this was posted on their page. It mentions nothing about being able to nominate just one person. The rules are too murky and they are going to have a bunch of upset people on their hands if they don’t come through.

Which to me sounds like 1 person can only mention 1 person’s name. I don’t know how they are going to sort all of these though if they are several pages a part. The people who mention name after name all in a row make it really obvious — kinda scary because I don’t want to get DQ’ed or cheat the system but I only have 10 mentions right now and need 10 more! My facebook friends are failing me 😉 ! Harder to get 20 than I thought…
Not to bust your bubble, but this contest is a little fishy. How do you know those 10 people that mentioned you aren’t going to be DQ’ed? I am just trying to help ;). Maybe anyone else you ask to mention to, tell them not to do it for anyone else or their nomination won’t count. Good luck though!

I’ve been trying to space them out. Even been walking away and doing other things then coming back to do another name. But then when I look at the comments they look like they are all in a row, even the timestamps are off. It’s weird. I think their comments section is overloaded.

I don’t thinks so…I am not listing names in a string and thus far when I check all the names are still there…and, I have added 40 names or more 🙂 Doesn’t hurt…nothing ventured nothing gained, imo.

there is a delay on the comments page…so your names “may” not show up immediantly…but, they are all there.
A TIP or SUGGESTION that I do, if this helps… 🙂 I do NOT post names in a string or one after another…I add ONE name, wait a bit then add another…that way my name doesn’t show up ALL in a row… 🙂

I just got another message from somebody.
“Hi just wanted to mention to you that the Petrol jean promotion only allows you one submission….. one per name so only the first person you put name for will be counted all the rest will be disqualified……. letting you know so that the people you put names for will not think they have all 20 names……there are going to be alot of people disqualified because if this but it is in the rules……. pass it on to your friends to read the rules…. just trying to help! nancy.”
And they are actually correct. I read the Official Rules and they state:
“For All Submissions: Limit: You may submit one (1) Submission during the Sweepstakes Period. Submissions received from any person, fan or email address in excess of the stated limit will be void.”
So it looks like this us voting for each other isn’t going to work. We can’t count each others votes. Boo 🙁 It’s not right that you can’t return the favor and vote for somebody who voted for you!
Yeah — We should have had a better system here. With one person only voting for one, and so on like a domino – you would have only gotten one vote from a hip2saver, but better than none! Since (hopefully) they put something in place to count all the entrants – there is probably also something to count the submissions and find duplicate entries…
I think they will probably take the first vote that everybody made and then delete all of the rest. Sad 🙁
