Here’s what you need to do to increase your chances of snagging free glasses…
* Head over to the Coastal Contacts Facebook page now, “like” them and click on the “Free Glasses” tab (remember, this code will not be valid until Noon EST today, April 26th)
* Then head over to CoastalContacts.com and pick out your favorite frames (try to find between 3-5 frames that you would be happy with since many styles are sure to sell out quickly).

I got my glasses last week and they are very nice. Came FED EX and the case it came in is a hard plastic colbolt blue case. The glasses are in a silk bag. Very nice. My glasses are a very light frame and I love them. Cost me $32 because I am a klutz and added scratch protector.

* Certain frames are NOT eligible for the promotion. If you see a “Coupons not applicable” message on a pair of frames, then it is excluded from the promotion.
* You will need a copy of your current eyeglasses prescription (it’s different from your contact lens prescription) and your PD measurement. Sometimes your PD will be on your prescription, but if not, watch this instructional video on how to measure it.
* After you have chosen your frames and selected your shipping method, you’ll go to a “Order Review & Payment” page, where you can enter and apply your coupon code. After applying your code, you will see your order total before you choose to check out (remember that you will have to pay shipping/handling charges of $10-$15)
* If you would prefer to order a pair of prescription sunglasses, you can use the coupon code and then you can add a tint to your lenses and simply pay for the cost of the tinting, which is about $30.
* Your free pair of glasses will include the standard 1.5 index lenses, which accommodates up to a -8.00. However, if your prescription is over a + or -2.00, you may want to upgrade to a thinner, lighter lens. If you choose to upgrade your lenses, or have selected progressives, Transitions or a tint, you will see the cost of the upgrade in your order total.
* If you’re not happy with your glasses for any reason, Coastal Contacts will allow one exchange for another free pair at an equal or lesser value. They’ll even pay for the return shipping and send you a return label. Just give them a call at 1-866-333-6888 to make arrangements. Remember to keep your box and all the accessories that came with your order.
Silly question alert! Ok, I am fairly certain (things are blurry prob about 12in from face–constant headaches) I need reading glasses. I cant afford the eye exam right now so I dont know my prescription. Is there anyway to order these without prescription–just to get the frames and have the doc put the lenses (sp) in?
Not sure if that would work or not but the lenses are the most costly part of glasses. You can get frames for about $20. I’m not sure it’d be worth it.
I would agree..you can get frames for less than $10 at Walmart. If you think you just need reading glasses, you’re better off just trying a few pair at Walmart or places that sell them.
Does anyone know if sunglasses are included in this promotion?
You can get the sunglass tint, but you have to pay extra

This is an awesome deal! I got a pair of Jones New York glasses to have as a second pair and I love them so much they are my main pair! Basically the frames are free, but I only spend $40 for the extra scratch and UV protection and thinner lenses, usually cost $300 at the doctor’s office.

I wish I could take advantage of this, but I would need the thinner lenses which come to $50 total….still a great price, but not worth the gamble since I have a really hard time finding glasses that I like.

I found this promotion soon after my exam and was able to get my glasses! YAY! Thanks for the info. Just got my Red glasses I’ve been wanting for $12 shipping. Initially tried to get glasses for my husband instead but his Rx is too bad so it kept adding thinner lenses which brought the total to $80 even with the free frames. Oh well…at least I got some…LOL! 🙂
the site wasnt working for me and I called up and placed the order over the phone! For the people that cannot afford the eye exams etc, try mystery shopping! I have done two different glasses mystery shops one for lenscrafters and one for pearle vision each including an eye exam and giving me almost free glasses!!! I cant post the referral link, it must be emailed so give me your email and I can send it and I can get referral $ and you can do the shops through them!

The code worked for me on an order placed at 2:58pm est. I was surprised that the 10,000 hadn’t been reached much earlier today.
I ordered…The ones for my son were $99 but this is because he is nearly blind and has a very high perscription and required the thinnest they have – his percription is always way extra==that was $59 then I added all the scratch protections/cotings. However normally his glasses cost me close to $300 so this is a great deal. Plus I hate having to deal with the people at the optometrist place with him. He is disabled they drive me nuts in there trying to add on all sorts of extras…
I did this the last time Collin posted this. We have a pretty good vision plan but I always use mine for contacts. I ordered glasses from these people for $17 and they are better than the ones I purchased from PearleVision for $300!!!!! You will need detailed subscription info to order but ordering on their site is both fun and easy. You can actually have a photo taken and try on different glasses! Only one free order per household, but they have hooked me now. I will order everything, including the daughters contacts through them now. GREAT customer service both on the phone and through email.
