The site IS moving slowly if you are trying to upload pics directly to the site. I have an online Picasa account and you can tap into those pics so you don’t have to upload. I think you can also pull pics from Facebook if you have them stored there! Is a big time saver!
I loaded a bunch of pics from FB and started my book and then all of the sudden it says the FB pics are not available. Getting SO frustrated!!!
Could you please explain how you uploaded from facebook? I logged into facebook and I don’t know where to go from there. I’d appreciate the help 🙂
Its in Mixbook – when you have the choice to upload photos f- different places pop up and Facebook is one of them. Just follow the directions. Although it didn’t work for me as it said photos were unavailable
I did fb uploads as well… and I was half way finished with my book when they all disappeared and it said they were unavailable. I logged off… I’ll try again later.
Same thing happened to me. The 1st 2 pics I used worked fine, now it’s saying they are unavailable!!
The same thing happened to me!!! And it won’t let me upload any more pictures that aren’t from FB!!
So I uploaded from smug mug.. was super fast. Made a great guest book for a wedding. Came to 29.99 coupon code .. not working?? I did check the right book size. Wondering whats wrong. Tried live chat, thats not up. Hmmm today is the 30th?? what am I missing.

i uploaded my pics from facebook, now they’re saying i cant use them, they all have little x’s by them, except for one. did anyone else have this problem? more importantly, does anyone know how to fix this problem!?!?!?! 🙂

Yes me too! IN the editing section everyting was there, when I went to preview, same problem as you. I actually got to talk to someone on live chat before the dissabled it. She told me to clear my recent history. that crashed everything and cause my browser to shut down!
What I read in the “tour” was that if it said it was an unclear picture to adjust the size of the picture & that will probably work. HTH! I can’t even figure out how to upload from Facebook! I allowed access but don’t know what to do from there. So, if you can help me that would be great! :o)
the format of the site is kind of confusing with that. after i allowed it to access my facebook it said something like continue..i thought it hadnt done it properly and i remember thinking i was pressing it to try again to access fb, but it took me to a window w/ my pics in it. not that it made any difference bc i uploaded them all, then they wouldnt let me use them anyway.
This website is soooo slow. After waiting 15 minutes of the initial “create a photobook” page trying to load- I’m giving up.

I dont know if anyone else has posted this but I used the “live chat” and spoke with an agent who said the tech team was aware of the problems and expected the site to be back to normal by tomorrow at the latest (which will then be too late for the deal) that was about all the info she could give me she stated that the site is being overloaded(of course lol) and that they apologized for the problems, I’ve never got in on one of the nice photobook deals in the 2 years I’ve been following Hip2save. I really wanted this (was ganna use it as an anniversary gift to the husband) but I’ve been trying since Collin posted this deal this a.m. and have got no where…
I finally gave up…and I don’t give up easily. Each page was taking literally 5mins to load..and I’m on a really fast connection! Then, it would randomly error out and I would have to start from scratch. Such a bummer, as this would have been a wonderful keepsake. I hope some have better luck than me.
i have been trying since the posting went live and still can’t get my pics to upload from my desktop. All i have are 35 pics too! I love this deal and love Mixbooks (have used them before) so i’ll keep trying but still not even to the point where my pictures are uploaded!!

I have 20 pictures trying to upload. I hope it works. I’d love to make this book! It was stuck on my first pic so I deleted it and then it loaded 2 pics pretty quickly. I just added the one I deleted again. It was stuck on it for some reason.

Update to all…..I have been working on my book all morning and when I just tried to check out with the coupon code, it said that it was expired! Soooo frustrating!!
do you have to use a blank canvas or can you pick a theme?

i just had an i dea, what im going to do i order the book with the theme i want but not upload any pictures to it, when it comes in the mail i will cut out pictures and glue it on the page. Fast, easy and i dont have to waste all that time uploading pictures 🙂

Apparently Mixbook isn’t trying very hard to help us get a FREE book and can’t blame em, though I really would’ve liked one. 🙂 Thanks to everyone for posting…I think I’ll pass. Got the free Downy and Ocean Spray. That’s all I have time for this morning…time to go play with my kids which is more important, anyway.

Website is PAINFULLY slow. After 2 & 1/2 hours I think I got the backgrounds and layouts to load, but we shall see.
I have to give up and I hate to! I cant get it to load any pictures. it gets stuck on the first one and when i delete it to move on to the next my shockwave crashes causing my computer to freeze up.
I have spent hours on this and now everyone is saying on the facebook page that the code is expired. Has anyone gotten the code to work in the past few minutes?

I started my book about 30 mins ago and finally came here to read comments because I was having so many problems. And it’s been posted that if you STARTED your book before the promo ended, they will still honor the code. How are we supposed to know when that cut-off was? There should be something on their website. Disappointed. 🙁
After 4 hours of working on it (on and off) I finally finished it and completed my order! I am excited to see the finished product but drained from the time spent.

I did half of my book, stopped because it was slow… and then just now went back to finish it and all my pictures are “Not available” anymore. I’m sad. 🙁 I can’t fix it either.

I decided I just wanted a blank book. Took about half an hour total, but it all seems to have gone through.
My only real complaint is that they required a credit card for an order that was free.
been trying to upload since 7:30am!! its now 12:54!! and still not 1 has uploaded 🙁 i tried to do it from photobucket, didnt work, facebook and they uploaded but you couldnt see the picture….i want to do this so bad but i doubt they will ever upload!!!
Weird. Right now, it’s 4 p.m. est. and my website has been up for 6 hours. I just came back and they took the original code even though it expired. Wohoo! Free book!
*Tip to folks* Uploading photos to Picasa or Flikr is a lot faster than waiting for it to upload directly from computer.
Mine are uploading a lil slow but not nearly as bad as some have mentioned. Mine says it has about 5 minutes left
Well this stinks! I thought I’d try out this new site and all I keep getting is a message from them that they’ve temporarily disabled creating new books so their “wizards” may work on finishing the books that new guests have already started. I’m new – doesn’t that count for anything? Bummer!!!
