I checked my account and it says my membership will renew on 12/2013! Shouldn’t it say it will automatically renew on 12/2012? Confusing to me. I wish it said something more clear like “Your membership will expire on 12/31/2013” or “12/31-2012.”
where do you see that is says how long the acct’s valid for? i cant find it anywhere 🙁

Confirmed to work for Existing Account Extension
Cancel your existing account (select: “Cancel my membership. I will no longer have access to benefits and will not receive a refund from ShopRunner…”)
A email confirmation will be sent, just ignore it.
Register using the promo code and the old email.
Your membership will now be good until 12/19/2013, and your order history will still be intact.

After sign-up, go to Track All Shipments/Orders and sign up for ShopRunner Central to get another 3 months extension until 03/19/2014. Note that what this does is access your gmail account and download receipts and orders FROM EVERY ONLINE STORE, not just ShopRunner orders. So have the page open to cancel and be prepared to do it immediately.

Also:
1. If creating a new account but old email, use Gmail trick. (If you don’t know, Google it.)
If you don’t want to google it, gmail addresses ignore periods and anything after a ‘+’ so first.last@gmail.com is the same as firstlast@gmail.com is the same as first.last+free.shoprunner@gmail.com.
2. Credit Card Optional…means optional. And in this case, don’t do it.
3. Don’t need an AMEX Plat for it to work.
4. Don’t try to extend beyond 03/2014. Canceling again and re-doing it will not extend it to 2015.
5. Remember to disable AUTO-RENEW: My Account >> Personal Information >> “Do not renew”

OK. Turned auto-renew off. I feel better knowing I won’t suddenly owe. Its an awesome free service but I’ve only used it twice so it’s not something I would usually pay for.

I didn’t get the email but I got one that said if I spend $50 before 12/31/12 I can get the membership for $29 instead of $79 for the year…. I hardly used it so even $29 wouldn’t be worth it

yay! just checked my email and I got it too!! I had just changed my membership to not renew for 2013 even though they were only going to charge me $30 and I used the heck out of it.
