THIRD UPDATE: Target posted the following in response to someone questioning the BOGO coupon on their Facebook page…

SECOND UPDATE: Before you head out, you may want to read through the comments below to learn about Hip2Saver’s most recent experiences.

UPDATE: After reading through the comments, it sounds like many of you are skeptical that this deal will actually work at your local Target. As I mentioned below, it worked just fine for me an hour or so ago as the cashier simply scans the Mobile Coupon barcode on your phone and the savings are applied automatically (the cashier does not have to key in any info). If you do indeed head out to test the deal, please share your success stories and/or any issues that you experienced below.

Wowza! Throw on your running shoes and sprint over to Target for a smokin’ HOT deal! If you are not yet signed up for Target Mobile offers, you’ll need to text OFFERS to 827438 (note that standard text messaging fees will apply) and click on the link that will be immediately texted back to you. Fill out the required info, follow the directions and you will receive a unique link for several Target Mobile coupons valid through October 4th – note that it took about 5 minutes for this text to arrive.

One of these Target Mobile coupons is valid for Buy One Accessory Item (sunglasses, jewelry or watch) and Get 1 Free up to a $58.99 value. And here’s the best part – clearance items do qualify and the higher priced item is the one that is ringing up FREE in the system. That means you can snag a FREE Accessory item (up to a $58.99 value!) when you purchase another accessory item on clearance – and yes, this makes for one *Smokin’ HOT* deal. Check out what I just scored at my Target here in Boise…

Buy 1 pair of Earrings $2.38
(note that clearance prices will vary but you should be able to find a similar deal)
Buy 1 Timex Watch $49.99
Use the Target Mobile coupon valid for Buy 1 Accessory Item Get 1 Free (cashier just needs to scan the barcode on your phone)

Final Cost $2.38 for both item!! Amazing!!!!

Come back and let us know what you are able to snag!

(A BIG thanks to reader, Sara, for emailing this deal!)

Thanks for sharing Collin, paid $4.38 for two accessory items and a Timex Ironman watch ($49.99)!!
It’ll be a great Christmas present for my teenage son. I have no guilt for purchasing because the coupon states up to $58.99 value 🙂 plus they don’t state the equal or lesser item free.

    • Garland

I found a $19.99 earrings on sale for $5.98. Added a $39.99 watch and it rang up $6.30 after the coupon. Use the $5.00 gift card from the candy deal that Hip@Save listed last week. Ended up paying $1.30.

  2. Meg

Worked fine in AZ. The cashier did not even hesitate. Got a beautiful piece of jewelry for myself and cute earrings for my daughter.

  3. jack

i want to do this deal..but what if it doesn’t work? should i have to pay for the higher price item? or can i simply buy the lower price item and walk out??

    • Regina from Tuscaloosa, AL RTR

You are never obligated to buy any thing! Buy only what you want and tell cashier that you do not want the other item(s)…BAM! Pay and go your way.

      • Ashley57

You can always return the deal as well, if it does not work out as planned.

    • Ilyssa

If it doesn’t work, you can always return the items later. Or you can simply tell them that you’ve changed your mind and have them void the transaction.

      It’s worth a try.

  4. LaToya

I just signed up for the e-mail and am heading out to try this now… Report back in a bit 😉

    • LaToya

Just walked out of Target with the exact same deal that Collin posted. No issues at all.

  5. Brandy

I just got back from Target with my $4.99 earrings and FREE $39.99 Ironman watch!! Yes, it worked for me. I was so excited I decided to go back and get another as I could use it for a Christmas present. However, when I went thru the line again, the register said “this coupon offer is not valid”. I don’t know if they fixed it or if you are only allowed to us a mobile coupon once. In any event, I have a free watch!!!

    • JV

yea you can only use a mobile coupon once per phone. if you have a second phone with a different coupon link then you would be able to use it.

  6. susan

I have forwarded this target post to corporate as they wanted to see, they are emailing all stores to not accept qny more coupons for the deal this is a dishonest post and this deal she not be taken advantage of. I dont have to get something for nothing. Target said it was a glitch from their system when the coupons were sent out.

    • JV

you are a bit on the crazy side…no offense. But you already posted that you called and now you keep posting. If Target is your company then I can see why you would be all up their skirt but if not….well hopefully they compensate you for your stalker abilities 😀 Have a nice day!

      • susan

I will report this how dare you call someone a stalker maybe someone should call you that corp and everyone else has the right to know about a wrongfull coupon taken advantage of YOU TRY TO HAVE A GOOD AS I ALWAYS Do

        • misty

Susan you sound exceptionally self righteous…on a coupon site! If you’re easily offended log off the Internet now you stalker!

        • sherry

can u say crazy!!!! wow do you not have anything better to do????

          • Emily

Wow Susan just do us all a favor and get off your high horse! Your decision to post more than once of how noble it was to report to target is pretty pathetic and I feel sorry that this is how you spend your time.

      • Carmend.

hit the nail on the head. well said jv

      • erika

i cannot believe how ladies r responding to others. this is just ridiculous. the only reason some of these words are said is because they are behind a computer and not face to face. if you cant say anything nice dont say anything at all

        • JV

If that was towards me Erika…well honestly it doesn’t matter the computer, phone or in person. But have you not read the extremes she has gone to!!! Its a bit excessive. If you wanna point out your feelings towards the deal then do so but to sit here and report, call, link and email….well that to me is not name calling I think its defined correctly by her actions.

      • Emily

If someone was taking advantage of you, you’d want to know about it. I’ve told companies about mistakes on their site – wrong phone numbers, wrong item descriptions, etc. and I’ve never expected compensation from the company. Susan did exactly what a lot of other people probably did but didn’t post about. As a couponer, you know that it was a glitch. The highest item is never intended to come off for free. You’re just mad that someone told Target about it. I’m sure Target has people monitoring deal sites and social media for these kind of glitches and was already aware of it. Give Susan a break, she can sleep easy knowing that she not only told a company about an honest mistake (good deed for the day perhaps) but she also stood up to you, her online bully. If you have children and they called someone crazy and a stalker on a message board, I’d hope that you’d tell them it is unacceptable behavior toward another person. You are doing the same to Susan and it is unacceptable.

        • kirk

well said…….. this is pathetic behavior folks, you would not want your kids acting this way.

        • Sally

          I agree 100%!

    • Melissa

How is the post dishonest? She posted what the coupon said, period. Nothing dishonest about that.

      • Ilyssa

Agreed, the coupon says nothing about which item it will deduct. If they have a flaw in their coupon coding then that is a problem they’ll have to fix. If they do, fine. If I can snag this deal before, fine. Businesses make mistakes and sometimes it costs them money.

Susan, there is no need to personally attack anyone on this site. Collin was simply reporting what happened when she used this coupon. It’s not stealing. It’s not dishonest (she is completely forthcoming about everything she purchased, and paid for). There are much better things to worry about today.

    • mer

LOL Susan is definitely a nut!!! Me thinks she has no life………

    • KV

      Susan, you’re a wacko.

      • Em

You guys are just as bad if not worse! With all of the news about people KILLING themselves over internet bullying you think we could behave a bit better. Yes, you mer & you KV. Me thinks you could use some time with suicide victims families. Or work in an ER for a night, or a psych ward.

        • Sally

Some volunteering would do them good actually. Might instill a decent perspective in them.

  7. janel

Just tried it in ca the coupon scanned but they said its a known glitch and refused to honor it

  8. Renee Mcdermott

Well it was a glitch, they where willing to take off the lower price item at my store, Ps I,ve worked in retail for over 15 yrs and trust me it is always taken off the lower price, Yes sometimes there are mistakes but I,m telling you they fix them right away so consider your self lucky those who got on this great deal.

  9. microdynamic

Hipsters, I just paid $2.42 for a pair of earnings ($2.38) and a TMX Ironman watch ($44.99). The package subtotal was $47.37 minus Target mobile coupon $44.99 for a package total of $2.38 minus $0.12 Red Card discount plus $0.16 tax. Target at University Parkway and I-75 in Sarasota, FL. Sending my coworkers before the deal goes away!

  10. Mae

I just went to target here in san antonio tx and my mobile coupon would not scan, I didn’t even use them so the cashier just took the price off of the lower iteam and said the coupon would not take off the higher value so I just left with nothing.

  11. maria

how do I get the coupon?

  12. tracy

so now the ppl who cant do the deal is bashing the ppl who got the deal and or the ppl who called about the deal

collin i think it would be a good decision to make this post expired now. since most ppl are being rude to others. and it seems like the target deal will be fixed soon now since it was posted on hip2save

    • Leanne

Heaven sakes people, stop telling Colin how to do her job.

  13. Julie

Didn’t work for me! I’m sure it would’ve scanned but the cashier said they weren’t allowed to take it and were actively trying to take it out of the system

  14. Heidi

    Still working!

  15. annie

I’m just bummed because I was hoping to take advantage of it to get two pairs of sunglasses even if it is the lower item that is free… it is still a good deal:-)

    • Emily

Annie, I am sure they will have to problem honoring your mobile coupon. Like another reader said, they have to honor; otherwise, it could be considered false advertisement.

  16. Cortney

Collin & her team work so hard to bring us the best deals. If you don’t like a deal or it doesn’t work for you just pass & wait for the next one, no need to pass moral judgements, not the place, especially when she works so hard to help us all stretch our family dollar.

No one feels bad scoring free travel sized items when a company omits size exclusions from their coupons. How is this an different? Target’s mistake by omitting size, price details on their coupon is hardly the consumers responsibility. Yay for those of you who were lucky enough to score such a sweet deal!

    • Dayna

I agree. How is the consumer supposed to know that Target didn’t mean to do this? Yes, usually it’s the lower priced item, but the coupon didn’t state specific details, so how are we to know exactly what was supposed to happen? I did this deal, but I bought 2 watches that were the same price so it didn’t matter in my situation.

    • starkissed01

I completely agree!! If you don’t like the deal or post, move on!! No need to bash Collin and each other.

  17. LT

I’m going to be honest. At first I felt bad about getting such a sweet deal. But then I thought about all the times they’ve said something didn’t apply or wasn’t the right item or they just weren’t honoring something and it eased my mind a bit. How many times have I hopped in my car and driven the 20 plus miles to Target to use my coupons they say “no, you can’t”. Just my take on it. Thanks Collin.

  18. kirk

Integrity is always best. People wonder why couponers are given a hard time sometimes. It is because they exploit a glitch like this and then hope the same cashier will fix a $1.50 mistake on their purchase.

    • Carol

Exactly! It’s taking advantage of mistakes like this that give couponers a bad rep, in my opinion. This is why cashiers put up a fight about a silly free Wisk sample, because they lump us all in as greedy grabbers.

      • Sally

and now I can GUARANTEE you we won’t ever see Target release a deal anywhere like this in the future!

    • Kristen

I agree with you. No reasonable person could think that Target intended us to get a $50 watch and pair of earrings for $3. Just because it works doesn’t mean I would feel right about doing it. I wonder if it was a smaller company if people would feel differently.

      • jamie

I agree. I’m kind of shocked Collin would support this kind of deal. Usually she has more integrity.

        • Leanne

Whoa now, no need to take personal shots. Are you still gonna follow the coupon site of this woman with no integrity? Or are you now too good for her when she saves you lots of money in ethical ways?

  19. bailey

i think most hip2savers are reading everyones comments because everyone has such a strong opinion on this post

  20. johnya

Im sorry im not being judgemental of anyone else just stating personal opinion and I feel that this is wrong, people are taking advantage of a mistake and its things like this that make target cashiers so leery of taking legitimate coupons. In the end this is only going to hurt those of us who use coupons there, in the way they were intended, and I wouldnt be surprised if they took away the mobile coupons now.

    • thecents2save

I agree. I realize that Target is such a large corporation that it’s easy to conveniently dismiss this away as a “glitch” but ask yourselves, if you ran your own business, would you still think that it would be ok for someone to buy a $3 item from you and get a $58 item for free? I seriously doubt it. You all know it’s wrong. You all know it’s a mistake. You will all try to fight for justification anyway. Have integrity.

  21. susan

People need to be more consideriateand not call other people names when they are rwporting to corp about a glitch deal that does not work any more and some people take advantage of a deal they know is wrong honesty is the best policy

    • misty

Susan. ..stop while you’re ahead. This is an honest site and we all take advantage of the deals posted. If the corp puts out a coupon and it works…then that’s on them. Sounds like you enjoy being self righteous

      • Sally

        take advantage is right

    • Renee

I did not get this deal and I don’t even care about it..but what does it matter if people call you names JUST because you’re reporting to target corp? What is target going to do about people calling you names? 😂

    • mer

Yes, we probably shouldn’t call you names. There is obviously a mental deficiency here.

  22. Kristy

Collin– I had expected better from you after following you for such a long time. I’m reposting this previous member’s comment because I agree perfectly. “. . . It was obviously a mistake/glitch. It actually surprises me how many legit good bargains we get from companies, and the SECOND THEY MAKE A MISTAKE instead of doing the right thing we try to SOAK IT FOR ALL IT’S WORTH. I am passing on this one too, I don’t feel right about it either, a free $50 item isn’t worth my couponing integrity. . .” Yes Collin. I can’t even imagine how tacky I would feel when my cashier would see my trying to do this. To grab the most expensive item possible, just for the thrill of getting it free. SO TACKY! I’m blessed to live in a higher-class neighborhood and go to a higher-class Target and I”M GOING TO ACT that way.

    • Robbie S

You ma’am have no reason to act like an @$@!#%. THe effing coupon did not state to equal or lesser value. You are making Collin feel like a jerk. Get off hip2save and go on another site and act like ajerk to them

      • Bridgette

        Exactly Robbie!

      • Leanne

Amen! Maybe Kristy should stop using Colin’s site if she is too good for her.

    • Mar

I understand that you don’t feel comfortable doing this deal, everyone has their own coupon comfort-meter. But I don’t think qualifications like “TACKY” and calling yourself “HIGH CLASS,” and needing to specify that you live in a “high class neighborhood” isn’t exactly high class, is it? Nor is passing judgment on Collin and everyone else who doesn’t seem to be living up to your “high class” expectations. Hope you have a “high class” day.

      • Jack L

Made an ok argument until….”I’m blessed to live in a higher-class neighborhood and go to a higher-class Target and I”M GOING TO ACT that way”…..since when did this have anything to do with a “class” issue. So if I go to my Target in my middle class neighborhood, then we’re all hooligans

        • Mar

Lol, meaning it’s ok to act like hooligans at that target cuz it’s a middle class neighborhood, not so if in a high class neighborhood. Apparently, we have an emily post in our midst.

    • J

If you have to say you’re “High class” then I’m going to guess you probably are not…. If you don’t like this deal or page or even Collin…….go elsewhere. She works her tail off for ALL of us so either appreciate her or leave her page.

    • Ana Blanco

Oh please. The way you just spoke proves you are nothing of hi-class. So go on and get.

      • Vivian

High Class Target!!! jajajajaja best joke of the day!!! I’m sure it’s inside your HIGH CLASS gated community!! What is a High Class personality doing in a coupon site? I guess your High Class income is not cutting it! God loves all High Class people too! As He does not make difference with us couponers, God bless you

    • Dayna

If you live in a higher class neighborhood and go to a higher class Target, than why are you even following a coupon site? I would think you would have enough high class to not even bother with coupons 🙂
This is how your statement is coming across.

    • couponkat

Exactly, just like you mentioned above- you’re gonna “ACT THAT WAY”, meaning you are NOT high class. Stop pretending and be yourself. Rules were followed as coupon stated so there is nothing wrong to say about this deal. If it offends you get off the internet and if you wanna go do this deal your way, I’d laugh at you if you go buy a $50 watch and $3 pair of earrings and have the cashier scan your coupon but tell the cashier that you’re going to do the opposite of what the coupon says, which will be to pay $50 and get $3 earrings for free. YOU ARE FOOLISH.

    • justme

wow Kristy??? That was so not appropriate.

    • StephD

BAHAHAHA!! what world r u living in where Target is considered high class??? don’t get me wrong, I love Target and shop there regularly:) but high class?….um no. Just cause it may be a fraction better than wal mart doesn’t make it high class!! ahahahahaha!!! that literality made my day!! Have an awesome time shopping at your super swanky Target:):)

      • Alla

Hahahahahahah StephD she made your day and you made my day. I agree with you all. I’ve never seen a high class Target anywhere hahahahahahahhaaaaa. I am totally ROFL. If Target was a high class store in my neighborhood would I be called a party crasher or shopping crasher with my coupons there hahahahahahahaaaaa. Lame words from Krsity and really funny. Thank you, Collin for all that you do. We still love to coupon and save and love your site. Enjoy your earrings and watch and show em off girl 😉 You deserve it!

        • linda

someone erased my earlier post and reply..:(

  23. susan

Jcpenney 1.99 clerance shoes and 2.97 dress mark downs from 50.00 plus 10.00 off 25 or more

  24. Alissa

I just walked out of target and it still works. I got a $5.00 watch and a $19.99 watch for $5.50 total

    Good deal!

  25. Kimberly

Im gonna ask a stupid question….. could you use a I pod to get these coupons?

    • Robbie S

      yup. i think

    • Janelle

You would need a phone number, so you’d still need a phone to get the text.

  26. jen

I am very surprised you published this Collin. You are taking advantage of a mistake, and I do not think that is very ethical. You followed the rules on the coupon, but not the rules on ethics…disappointed.

    • Robbie S

Stop. She is not taking advantage of a mistake. Collin followed the #$%@#% rules and this is 100% ok.

      • misty

        Robbie I like you…

        • Andrea

          LMBO!

      • Robbie S

thanks just a teen trying to give my 2 sense on how adults should act

      • jen

If it wasn’t a mistake, corporate wouldn’t have stopped the deal. We all know it was a mistake, and I am sure Collin does too.

      • Jodi

BAHAHAH Robbie you are seriously great! I am a young couponer as well and seeing these women go on and on about how this is so wrong yet they are STILL here reading these deals. SAD story. Like it’s Collin’s fault that Target effed up. SMH.

    • Angie

Jen, I was actually surprised, too, since Collin is usually so very ethical, which is why I love this site. Just because you CAN do something does not make it right, or at least that is what I tell my kids.

    • Bridgette

Ethics or morals? She followed what the coupon said so stop insinuating she did something wrong. No one told you to follow her page or do the deals and for everyone to publicly “bash” her, that speaks volume about your character.

  27. ryan

worked just fine 3:30 in indiana

  28. Sam

    To everyone bashing Collin –
    1. You all use her site to save money, but now you’re judging her (and in essence anyone else that’s using the coupon) because of some supposed “moral higher ground” you live on?!?! Seriously? Stop it.
    2. When’s the last time a cashier from Target called you the next day and asked you to return to the store because they charged you more than the advertised price on something? Oh that’s right, never.
MORAL OF THE STORY = It all equals out in the wash!!!

    • Mar

Lol! haha, they call me all the time 😉

    • Shae

It’s funny that you mention that we use this site to save money. If it were not for the “fans,” Collin’s site would cease to be what it is.

      • Amanda

We use this site to save money and they use the popularity for ad revenue. Lets face it its a beneficial mutual relationship. If there were no viewers Collin would have no blog but I’m pretty sure she’d still score awesome deals!

    • Jack L

      Well said!

  29. Allison

    Worke for me

  30. carrie

Did not work at my target in CA. They stopped accepting the coupon.

  31. Dawnelle

It just worked for me in vallejo ca. Bought a beautiful necklace on clearance for $5 and got the timex watch free reg $44.99, wahoo so excited.

  32. Ana Blanco

Wow Jen very disappointed after this woman helps everyday to coupon. She would never do anything that is wrong. And say sge did it was an honest mistake.

    • jen

She can make mistakes but as a BIG publisher, she shouldn’t make ethical ones. I am not judging her….I am just surprised and disappointed. I don’t go to her site to see what “mistakes” I can take advantage of. I go to her site for ethical couponing. I think this crosses the line. I am not bashing her. Just stating my opinion. And I am certain we all make bad decisions, me alike, but she has a greater responsibility to do the right thing. She failed that today…

  33. M.

I personally see this as a glitch – 99.9% of coupons state of equal or lesser value. However, I won’t judge those who want to give it a try – I just think we will see fewer real deals available if we take advantage of the mistakes.

    • JV

I agree up until your last sentence. Target must remain an active competitor in deals and such. So we will be seeing more or less depending on its competition. Not because they entered a coupon incorrectly or forgot to code it properly. That is their errors, not their consumers.

  34. LaToya

    Whoa. Whoa. Whoa.
Where was the deal on Haterade, and why have you all drank it?

I was not a Target mobile subscriber until I heard about this deal. And I can guarantee you that my phone number is more valuable to Target than that $50 watch will ever be.

I know Collin can hold her own, but for the amount of steals and deals and tips that you get here on Hip2Save, I am just shocked at the number of people here that are standing in judgment.

    • Ana Blanco

Very well said. Trust me I can guarantee you that these haters went out there and got it also.

    • Geena

      Touché!

Love you Collin and the hard work you put into this site and give us all FREE information on amazing deals and she’s always on top of it. Use the deals you want and pass on the ones you don’t.

    • Valerie H

Could not have said it better myself! I love you Collin and Hip Team! Keep your heads up and as Thumper always said “if you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all”

  35. Shae

I actually really hate it when “big” blogs post about deals like these. “Run” deals tend to end much more quickly. This deal has been going on for quite a while, but now that Collin has shared this deal, it will soon cease.

I understand that you want to bring more readers to your site, Collin, but go about it by sharing more “realistic” deals. Why did you need to purchase a $49 watch? For the shock and awe factor? You could have just as easily gotten a watch for $19.99. I thought you were different from the other “extreme” bloggers…

    • Jade

I understand your point but don’t pick on Collin! Did she say she did the deal 10 times, NO. If you don’t like her site, then don’t use it. Simple as that. No reason to bash her for it.

      • Shae

She didn’t do the deal ten times because the offer is limited to once per phone. By the way, the meaning of bashing is “violent physical assault.” I don’t think I’m physically attacking anyone.

If Collin didn’t want opinions on the deal, then she wouldn’t have posted it. I am free to share my opinion just as others have.

I have been following this site for over 2 years now. It’s just amazing to me how much things change over time.

        • Jennifer

I just read all these comments! Wow people!
          I <3 you Collin!
I am more shocked that there are people all over these comments that talk about using screen shots of family members and friends coupons to go do the deal 6,7,8 and one lady even said she did it 10 times! WTF??? That's what gives us couponers bad reps… Not doing what Collin posted about and did. (Which was use the coupon ONCE)

    • Tina

I love this site but I agree this deal has been “talked” about all day now that it has been put on blast it will no longer work for those who can’t run to the store as I’m sure many are doing now that it’s all over the blog…

    • Amber

Deals get posted and wiped out all the time. If it’s on a “big blog” of any sort and you don’t go right away, you don’t get the deal. End of story. This is no different. If you knew the deal had been going before now, you could’ve gotten it then. If it isn’t there b/c you waited, that’s on you. It doesn’t make Collin or her blog the bad guy, it makes you a procrastinator.

As for why purchase a more expensive watch, I think we all would. This was a realistic deal b/c she got it and so did many others. So many deals are YMMV. Everyone needs to expect that when a great deal is posted. I don’t need a watch or jewelry right now, but these probably would make great Christmas presents and people need watches all the for many reasons.

And before I get blasted for no integrity, I didn’t go for this deal and I have paid or attempted to pay stores back for charging me too little. I hope everyone continues to get great deals!!!!

To every single one of you who is judging Collin I can bet you are judging her while in line trying to get the same deal. All of you acting as if you all ethical couponers. You probably are also the ones clearing the shelves. So let’s just say it was a mistake she did it in all honesty. So get your a**** off of Hip2save and go hate somewhere else.

    • Dayna

Hahaha! I bet this is one of the most controversial posts on this site! This sure brought everybody out of the woodwork.

    • Stephanie

Lol yep! I know if I was going to target anyway I’d do it!!! But I won’t be going today, no need to write bad things about anybody!

  37. Christa

I’m also disappointed this was posted. I had read last week that whatever rang up 2nd was the free item but I did not feel it was an ethical deal. Could you do it? Yes. Should you? …. A bogo accessory coupon was a great deal with the lesser item being free. Hopefully this does not make target rethink their bogo coupons.

  38. Olyvia

So it’s ok for everyone to go out and buy shaving cream and get free groceries but to use a coupon at target is WW3? C’mon ladies! Worked for me and I won’t complain. The
Lord blessed me with this deal!

    • Mar

Amen! Haha, it’s true, what about double dips at Rite Aid, or Saturday double dips at Wags and I can go on and on, but because it’s such a high value, it’s not ok? Too bad, I’m nowhere near a Target right now 🙁

    • Edie

I highly doubt “the Lord” told Target corporation to put this coupon out just for you to use.

      • Alla

“The Lord” gives all of us our daily shares and she got her share and she deserves it. Leave Collin alone and let her enjoy what she got. Some of us got it and some of us didnt. So what??? That means its was not our share and today was or was not our day. Period! She does more than enough to help all of us save with great deals everyday. It was not her fault. She got lucky and that’s completely ok. Good job, Collin. Keep it up girl 😉

        • Edie

You’re barking up the wrong tree, I didn’t say anything about Collin. The coupon worked for her, she didn’t go against any of the rules or stipulations, I have no qualms against the original post. My comment was to Olyvia. Good try, though.

  39. Jack L

I can’t believe readers are going after Collin on this post! Please read closely that this was a reader submitted deal. Do you guys have the same ethics debate for double dipping on Walgreens deals when they reset each week? Just leave it be, if you don’t agree with a post, dont read it.

    • Alea

It was HER deal – she bought the watch and earrings. A reader just informed about her about the deal.

      • Jodi

It was her deal, yet someone else sent it to her….You actually mean it was someone else’s deal and she went and tried it and then posted HER results…. Read your own stuff before you post it.

        • Alea

          ?????

  40. Ilyssa

Target in Saratoga Springs, NY accepted this coupon at 3:47 pm (EST).

Worked like a charm! I got a $39.99 Timex Women’s Watch and a pair of CUTE clearance earrings for $4.15!

  41. Caitlin

It doesn’t bother me that people are using the coupon, but it kind of bothers me that people are saying it all equals out in the end that they are in a way getting over on the company, but its ok because they overcharged you at some point. That is kind of like saying “It’s ok I stole from my job because they weren’t paying me enough .” and that frame of mind is not ok.

  42. amber marley

i got the watch for free 🙂 its a minnie mouse one perfect for my trip to disneyland in 2 days!!!

  43. Char

corporate must have blocked the offer; I text for the offer and it says no longer active and blocked?

  44. J

Collin thank you for posting this!!!! Hold your head high and don’t let the haters get to you…..you do so much for so many and if people want to give you grief over an honest coupon then let them deal with their own negativity–which I’m sure their life is full of not just with couponing! Sending a big virtual hug in thanks for helping my family live better for less!!

    • Tomoko

I can’t get the coupon either. Oh well.

      • Tomoko

Sorry …wrong post. I was replying to Post #94 J.

        • Tomoko

What is wrong with me today! I tried to reply to Chra’s comment…I think I need get some coffee, lol.

  45. Danielle Jones

The sad thing here is that you all benefit from Collin’s hard work and efforts on a daily basis. If you don’t appreciate the deal, then skip it. There is no need to speak harshly or rudely on a blog. Collin has saved many of your families a lot of money, and deserves your respect. We will not all have the same opinions, that’s what makes this country great! There is NO reason to behave so immaturely over this post. If it offends you, don’t look at it. If Hip2Save doesn’t help your family save money, then don’t read the blog. I am going to guess that she saves you a lot of money. As a family of 8, I know how valuable this blog has been to me and I know Collin must put a lot of time and energy into helping us all, why cause her grief over this post??? Is it really necessary?? Collin, thank you for all your hard work. You are very under appreciated. Your site is the reason my husband and I started our blog recently and we will continue to support you!!!

    • Stephanie

Yes! Your right!!! Why write anything?! Just don’t go get it… That’s simple lol

    • justme

Well said Danielle! I couldn’t have said it better!

  46. Elizabeth

If we are so quick to come to Target’s defense, we should also be quick to come to Collin’s defense. Have none of you done something that “perhaps” you shouldn’t have? For all the times she’s done the right thing, give Collin the benefit of the doubt, assume it was a “glitch” on her part, and move on without criticizing her character.

  47. trippy79

I wouldn’t dare attempt this deal, as I have enough trouble trying to use coupons at target to begin with (constantly being scrutinized for using them by the cashiers), this would only make my shopping trips there even more uncomfortable while at the checkout.

  48. Sara

Get over it hundreds of coupon ears have been doing this deal all week. If you look on Instagram under #couponers everyone is doing the deal. If you don’t feel comfortable with don’t do it. End of story

    • Sara

      *couponers #couponing **

  49. Jennifer

Thanks for ALL you do Collin!!! A lot of us really appreciate your hard work!!!! (figure she could use a “thank you” after all these people judging her) PS In case you all forgot, NO ONE is perfect….

  50. Amber

It worked for me about two hours ago- I purchased a $2.38 pair of earrings and a $24.99 necklace, and the $24.99 necklace came off the total automatically when the cashier scanned my phone. The cashier even commented that it was a great deal!
