I just went and got a FREE watch! They didn’t have any jewelry that I liked or any on clearance so I just got a cute set of 3 stud earing’s for $5.00 and the watch was $39.99 The timing was great because my husband was in great need of a new watch. I saw the deal last night but what made me get it today was the fact that the high price item was the free one!
Collin, not sure what happened before but it looks like there were some posts complaining about this deal? I don’t understand those people. These are HARD times for most of us and when we are able to score a great deal you can either take it or just pass on it. I believe that the people who choose to say inappropriate things chances are it is because they weren’t able to score a deal and just want the rest of us to “suffer” like they are.

I got the deal today! I scored a women’s Timex ironman watch ($39.99) and a braided bracelet for $3.50!! However when they scanned my coupon it didn’t work. I politely asked the cashier to call the manager. When the manager arrived she said that they have now deactivated the coupon. I told the manager that the coupon was text to me several days ago and it has not expired. I asked if she would please honor the coupon. After the mgr looked at the coupon on my phone she told the cashier to do a price override. So you may have to be a little persistent in order to get it. Thanks so much Collin!

Ugh, I can’t stand not having regular texting. We just have iMessage. We always miss out on these great text coupons!!!! Anyone in the same situation know a way around this?
You should be able to turn off iMessage under your settings and just have text message on. Hope that helps!
I think this is text message only, so you would have to pay for text service to access it, or have someone who doesnt care for the coupons subscribe anyway, and imessage the link to you.
If you just signed up you will not be eligable to get this deal as it expires tommorow and your coupons will be the new ones.Sorry:(

Connie, I did the deal at the Brookfield Target on Blue Mound and approx. 124th. Deal went through no problem. No questions asked.
I tried at the Bluemound Target and they told me that the “coupon was fradulent and that they got an emergency alert from corporate to not accept the coupon.” I did use my smartphone coupon at the Waukesha Target, but my husband had no luck at the Bluemound one yesterday evening.
I just went to the Target in Lake Geneva and had no problem using the coupon. Surprised hubby with a new watch. He says, thank you Collin!

I tried to score this deal on Tuesday night and my cashier refused to scan my barcode stating that it was a glitch on Target’s part and wouldn’t refused to honor it. I’m totally bummed! Do I dare try it again and at a different target?? 🙁

It says right on the cpn app “Redeemed (date) 10/2”. There is only one use per smart phone.

It took a day for the coupons to reach my phone but I was able to use it and got a Timex watch for my hubby ($39.99) and got adorable silver earrings on clearance for me ($3.00) – what a great deal!!!

My target here in oregon tld me there was a glitch in the coupon and they would not take it. Darn! Drove out there for nothing!
It worked at my Target but the cashier went in and reversed the discounts so the free one was the clearance earrings that were about $3. I didn’t have it in me to say anything so I wound up returning both items. If I has seen the FB post I would have shown it to her but I didn’t want to argue. i got a light tan leather timex and a pair of earrings, and my dh found a casio g-shock and earrings as well… under $5 for 2 awesome watches, and 2 pretty cute earrings! i didnt want to get just any cheap clearance item but rather something cute enough to use myself or at least gift so i was happy. i only wish i couldve gotten a womens watch instead lol, but glad 2 men are crossed off our gift lists!

Try a different combo of items. I tried 2 watches and the same thing happened but the cashier took care of it for me. I then read under comments that someone else experienced the same thing and retried buying a watch and earnings and it worked just fine.
I went to my Target in Spring, Texas today and there were 3 other women in the department with their watches and clearance jewerly. However, when we went to purchase these, the cashier said that corporate changed the rules as to, we could not do this deal with clearance items as of noon today. Boy, these women, including myself, were frustrated and one woman went to the courtesy desk to call corporate to ask why. I kind of lucked out because I just did the deal by buying a cute pair of earrings for $7.99, and the ironman watch for my son. Then on top of that, I used the $5 free gift card that I got from my first purchase, so I spent a total of $3.58.
Deal just worked in Seattle. Bought $4.99 earrings and a $19.99 necklace, necklace came off free. Also bought a pair of yoga pants and 2 boxes of Cascadian organic granola bars on sale and only spent $20.86 total for all items (including jewelry). Not a bad Target run!
worked in High Point NC, no problems. But after I did my transaction I overheard the manager explaining to someone else that they would not honor the coupon. But it scanned no problem!
This is something that the manager should have kept to herself. Target is going all out to make customers happy by honoring it just to have their good will offer tainted by their in the trenches rep. Seems silly to offer something and then make people feel cruddy about accepting it. My experience was so different. The girl at the service desk (asked aboutiti before I even went to pick out my items)could not have been nicer and bent over backwards to assist me as I never used a mobile coupon before.

Took me about 20 minutes at the register because even though I asked beforehand if they’d honor it and they said they would- it wouldn’t ring up on the screen when they’d scan my phone- after 3 employees and a manager looked at it- they realized it must have been because I was trying to get a 20 dollar watch and 2.00 clearance sunglasses for a child. They had me go choose another jewelry item so I brought back a 5.99 necklace- and the coupon worked at that time. So if you guys are having trouble trying to get it to work- it might be because of the items… I’m assuming if you get 2 sunglasses.. it’ll work… but if you’re trying to get sunglasses AND a jewelry item- it is a no-go.
My sister went yesterday afternoon and bought a pair of sunglasses and a watch and paid $4 total.
