UPDATE: If you have already placed an order or are considering placing an order, I encourage you to read through the comments below. So readers are reporting that their credit cards are being charged BUT that 1-800-Flowers does not have a record of their order. However, other readers have reported that the issue has been resolved and they have received order confirmations via email. This is may be a case where the response to this offer was much larger than anticipated and so the company is scrambling to confirm and fulfill orders.

    Placed the order last night and received confirmation information for each order. No confirmation info in email, so looked at account this a.m. No record of order, but showed in rewards system I placed 2/3. Called customer service = no record. They transferred me to the rewards customer service. They finally found 2/3 orders, but showed that I didn’t have any contact info and my visa info was wrong, so the order was canceled. Um, I created an account, you have all my contact info…but their system says they don’t. WTH? I think it all has to do with the Visa Checkout!

      The exact same thing happened to me just now before I read your post. No record, except the name, which I just gave them, no email, no information on file and supposedly the wrong credit card information. I have the confirmation number though. When I told her it didn’t sound right she wanted to call me back later to put in the order. I really wanted these but now I’m unsure because of this.

    Just got off the phone with them and have been on the phone for quite a while. They have reported the issue to tech support and they are supposed to be working on it. I basically had to place another order over the phone and since the first order didn’t go through on their end, she said the first charges wouldn’t be turned in and should disappear from my banking within 1-3 days. She also said that if this wasn’t the case, they would reimburse me if I was double-charged. I hope she is right! I started to just forget about everything altogether, but she was SO nice and eager to help me…and I really wanted the flowers still!! I recommend everyone calling to confirm that their order went through…because by the sound of it, this whole promotion has been an issue that they were unaware of.

    Serious problem here. I placed an order last night, received the thank you for delivering a smile today, and a confirmation #. The money has been taken out of my account, but I have received no email. I am on the phone with them now, and he keeps telling me no order has been placed. He cannot find it by name, phone # or confirmation #. I am not happy. He keeps saying sorry. I said, sorry doesn’t help me, how could the order NOT have gone through, if I received a confirmation # and my account has been charged! I am now being transferred to the authorization dept, after constant apologizing that there is NO order placed. So if you did not get an email, you probably need to call them and make other arrangements if you planned to use this as a gift, as I did for Grandparent’s Day.

        Still on the phone with them. 🙁 The lady I am speaking to now, went to talk to her manager, I had told her I read I am not the only one with the same issue. I will let you know what happens.

        Ok, just got off the phone with them. I was on the phone with them for a total of about 45 minutes. The last person I talked to was Sarah, I gave her the scoop, and she said they did have a problem with that promo code. She did say the promo code was fixed and I could order on the phone or online. She then stated we needed to call my bank together to have the charge removed. So we called the bank and my bank stated they needed it in writing, so she is faxing it over now. I did not order over the phone, nor do I want to order online anymore. It was a lovely thought, but has taken wayyyy to much of my time.

          Are you serious?! Now I’m wondering if I need to call back and do all of this as well. She told me that the charges would just drop because they would never get “authorized” by them. Ugh…don’t know what to do.

            If I were you, I would wait and check your account tomorrow, to see if the pending charges are still there or not. I ordered K-cups from Office Depot one time, when there was a really good deal and I had 2 pending charges for the same amount. I called and they said one of them would drop off, and she was right it did. I am not sure why 1800Flowers wanted to call my bank, I thought that was odd as well.

              Thank you. That is what I am going to do. I actually called back again to speak with a different representative from the billing department and she confirmed that they should drop off…so I feel good about it. Lots of headache for flowers, but well worth it if the recipients love them 🙂

    I just called myself, the same issue was happening with “place order.” I had a great representative, helped me all the way and was able to get my flowers delivered to my mother-in-law for grandparents day. Please don’t give up, it’s a great deal, especially me, living in Chicago.

      Did they tell you that the charges for the first order would be dropped? Right now I am seeing that I have been charged for 4 when I only purchased 2…so I am trusting that the lady knew what she was talking about! My rep (Teresa I think?!) was super nice too!

        I looked at my statement and only had one charge. It’s always good to double check. I would call them to make sure.

    its a mess; placed order but never received email; called 1-800 to check and they say there was an error and my order was “deleted” but my credit card says there is a charge…..

    Ok, i just spent over an hour with 1800 flowers cs. They to said they had no order number but they did see an authorization charge so we called my bank to try to reverse the charges. The funny thing is while on the phone with them i received my email conformation from 1800 flowers . When i gave her my order number she confirmed it went thru and my order will be shipped tommorow. Im so glad this worked . Good luck to the others having trouble and dont give up.

      Same thing with me!! I was on the phone with them forever this morning! Said no order, and they called my bank and the pending charge is now gone. I did not reorder, but I just saw I had an email my order has been processed. I am so confused!

    What a mess. After 4 phone calls and many long long conversations…I think I am good to go. My situation was the same as “kd” above. My recommendation to you is to hold off and DO NOT order twice like I did!!

    Sooo…after all of this mess this morning 45 minutes on the phone with them saying there was NO order, and the nice lady calling my bank, the pending charge is now gone. BUT I just received a email saying, your order has been processed…. -_- I am so confused.

    I’d only do this offer if they come from a local florist. 1-800-Flowers FedEx’d a box of Roses to me and they looked awful. The leaves were dark and limp and there was a white powder stuck all over everything. The flowers looked bad too. Looked like they had been in cold storage for weeks.

      You should have called them to complain. They do have a guarantee that they will replace them if you’re not happy. I’ve been sent flowers from them before and they were beautiful.

    Just placed my order… money was taken off of my card and I recieved an order confirmation from 1800flowers immediately. I’m thinking they have fixed the problem

    My mom recieved these flowers today and sent a picture to me by text…Let me just say that they were an embarrassment to me and they looked awful!!! Whoever did not get to order just be glad because they look horrible! I did take the low price in consideration but I could have easily made a better arrangement for less, don’t waste your money!

    Has anyone else had a report on these deliveries? I also received some flowers from this company that had been sent to me a few years ago and they looked terrible. I thought it might just have been a fluke but now I wonder if it is the norm.

    They were horrible! My mom just received hers and the flowers are wilting and loosing the petals already. The stems are different lengths so it doesn’t fit right in the vase, nothing what it looked like in the picture;(((.
    Called them and they were very kind saying they will send out another bunch to make it right.

    I didn’t have any problems with my order, my mother in law received them yesterday. I didn’t see them in person or a picture of them, though, I hope they looked okay!

    Mine were supposed to be delivered today. When I tracked the order, it said that the shipment was cancelled by the sender. I called and they told me that the shipment was cancelled because I had added a room number to the original address ( I e-mailed them as soon as I got my confirmation e-mail because I realized I had forgotten to room number at the nursing home). He said that they would ship out another package for Tuesday delivery. Hopefully this actually works….
