Can you still use fillers? I thought the new policy was that each RR had to be paired with an item that was at least as much as the RR. Since they are coupons and they don’t accept coupons over the value of an item. Have I been misinformed?
I have still been able to continue to use RRs and filler items. Last week I bought a 0.50 filler item and used a 2.00 RR. Hope this works for you!
Melanie, that is what I was told a couple of months ago at all 3 of my stores where I live when I could not use a register reward I had against my total. They said the policy had changed and that I had to have at least one item that was equal to or greater than the reward I was trying to use. I do not shop at Walgreens anymore because of the change. I sure wish I could clarify if this was a change with all stores but I do not want the hassle,frustration or embarrassment I experienced. I see all these deals every week posted now and wonder if it is just my store though, very confusing!
melanie, there was a computer programming error, that should be fixed at all stores now. As long as the total of your purchase after store/manuf q’s is the same value or more than the RR, it will go through (of course you still have to meet the item to coupon ratio). I was able to use my $6 RR on a $6.50 purchase earlier in the wk.

Anyone know when this changed back? I feel like it was just the other week I had the Issue with the RR needing to be used on a single item higher than the value. If it says “Get back 1,000 Balance Reward Points (= $1 reward)” does that mean the $1 reward is on my card and it will be credited to my next purchase automatically?
Hi Julie! When it says get back 1000 Balance Reward Points, that means that you will buy the item, then on the bottom of your receipt you will see something along the lines of Account Balance: 1000 points (or however many you earned.) The next time you check out, you will either be prompted by the cashier “Would you like to use your Balance Rewards on this transaction?” or you will just have to say “I want to use my points.” Remember to not purchase items that are supposed to give you points back with points, because you won’t receive the points you were expecting:/ I hope this helped and didn’t confuse you more!

Hi Tracy, it is a coupon located on the front page of the weekly ad. When you scan it and spend $30 after any store coupons, but before manufacture coupons you will earn 5,000 points. (= $5 reward)
Registers were reprogrammed at corporate did NOT want couponers using overage on basket total, the Tide/Almay deal set it into the works. I saw a corporate memo referring to “so called coupon queens that have nothing better to do with their time”sort of thing….. System was changed but they failed to anticipate that their rrs wouldn’t work and they were threatened with legal action, voila system was changed back.

I went to Walgreens to do the dial soap deal but the b2g1 free q was only deducting $2.65 (reg price 5.29) and the cashier and manager said that with the Walgreens sale of b1g1 free that it’s deducting the correct amount because 1 pack is 5.29 and the other is free making each pack 2.65. I disagreed and told them I didn’t want any of them then. Please help!

The recall is on the Walgreens baby wipes as well as the boxed diapers because of a possible bacterial contamination.
Hi Mimi, Yes there was a recall involving Well Beginning wipes. This recall did NOT include diapers, and only affected wipes manufactured by Neutek company. All Walgreens stores have had the recalled wipes removed from the shelves. I hope this helps.
Thanks for everything you do, Collin! I bought two packs of Wags Omeprozole ($14.99) and a bottled water ($0.99). Paid $31.xx after tax, and got 20,000 points back! As long as you give the Manufacture coupon FIRST, then the IVC and have another item in your transaction to absorb the overage.
I didn’t see the $1 off Walgreens coupon in the diabetes care. Is there more than one of those that I should be looking for a different one? I found the diabetes and you booklet but don’t know where to find the Walgreens one 🙁
